Jigs you do this each time you give a little more insight into Aneri. Make me fall in love a little bit more. Just when I feel my heart is full to overflowing already. This extraordinary child, a wonderful blend of solemnity and mischievous grabs my heart in her tiny hands and holds it to herself. How can anyone help but gravitate towards her. A beautiful child who has made parents of a beautiful couple.

You have shown this shift so seamlessly. The grey-blue Arnav who we wolf whistled at, now makes us go awww as a father. He instinctively knows what his baby needs. Isn't that what parents do? Understand you before even you realise it yourself. The mother in Khushi knowing when her baby needs a hug. To be clasped close to her mother's heart, to lull her anxiety with the soothing rhythm of a mother's heart. And each one of these emotions I feel are totally credited to your superlative writing. What a perfect response to her "why". In total keeping with Arnav's witty, charming character.

"Aneri is her own individual", with beliefs like these this little family is going to be just fine.

The anxiety that shot through her when she walked into Roshni's office just broke your heart. Her heart screaming a "mat jao" even while trying to be a big girl. Accepting of the realities of life. And more than that mindful of their hurt before her own. Jigs how do I even begin to tell you what I felt at that point. The gradual realisation and acceptance in herself that it really was her that her Ocean uncle and Princess aunty wanted was so beautifully written. I could just visualise the myriad fleeting expressions running across her face as she reaches the conclusion that it is "Me". Simply wonderful Jigs.

I loved the conversation between Khushi and Lavanya. It was just so heartwarming to read. Friends who are a blessing... bas. An entire family waiting to welcome Aneri into their fold.

Now the only question that remains is where can I find Arnav's brand of sleeping pills ;)

You've managed to capture the excitement and all the nervous energy that Khushi seemed to be going through... her insomnia is so telling.

I have always felt that the nights were the best of times and the worst of times (very Dickensian perhaps)... but I stand by it. The solitude and silence the the night offers is both a bane and boon - where small ideas have room to grow into mature, and find fruition. But the same silence and solitude could be the demons that grow without hinderance, feeding on fear and insecurities. I saw you use that so well when you show Khushi work through her doubts, battling them with her hope.

But what is remarkable about this chapter is the way in which you captured Aneri's own fears and insecurities. It was so sad that she had built this wall of least expectations around herself so she can protect herself from disappointments that life may throw at her. That was such a sad revelation. And I see that Khushi picked it up so easily. But what was endearing was the way in which Aneri's Ocean helped his little daughter ride that fear with his wit, charm and his protective parental love.

Isn't that what parenting is all about?

What an absolutely fulfilling chapter to read... It was beautiful, replete with all tender moments - between two lovers, spouses, friends and parents. That feeling of nervous excitement I had when I got ready to take my baby home, is no different here with Khushi taking her baby home. And that is the biggest gift that she (Khushi) is giving herself.

I loved it. No other way to say it except... Bas. ❤️

Loved the quote from the Desiderata.. so apt for many scenarios in life.

The way you wrote about Khushi's insomnia, her nervousness before the big day,, this is what makes your characters and writing so real - we have all experienced this at some point in our lives.. And husbands knowing just how to relax us too ;-)

From the time they entered Ashiyaana I furiously blinked away tears until I could blink no more.. The tree provides her the warmth and love of her parents.

This little angel has learnt to accept disappointment in her life with a positive attitude -- they way she insisted they choose a baby over her - yet she wanted them more.. someone to call her own.

Arnav indulged her, he made sure she knew there was no other baby they wanted more.. parenting - isn't it all about the importance of reassurance, earning a child's trust and to know never to go against your own instincts ..

With nurture from Khushi and Arnav, their daughter Aneri will grow up as a very selfless person. sharing everything life will give her...

Yayy eight more chapters.. and then an pre-epilogue - an epilogue and then a post -epilogue.. please, please have one where Aneri and Khushi dance away at Roshini and Kabirs wedding .

A delightful soul warming chapter. I cannot wait for Aneri to enrich the lives of the other family members with her incessant bhak bahk and love of aloo paranthas -

After a long.Time

After the same long time, I am editing this comment too. I am so sorry Jigs. With the incessant rains and exams, IF was pretty left out. But I shouldn't have resd knowing that. Still I did, for that I am really sorry.

So, coming back this chapter is almost close to being my favourite after Aneri's arrival. The major high point for me how Arnav convinced his bambina and got his way with her. That was an absolutely delightful moment for me. And after knowing how much the little girl has been through, I just wish happiness crashes into her life like never before.

The anxiety, fear, excitement after going through so much, was clearly felt in Khushi and highly acceptable. A family of three... It sounds more like home, a home Arnav and Khushi had wanted to build and live.. where love was the chief getter. I think that is becoming a reality now..

Jigs, this I say is almost close to your best chapter ever..And yet again sorry for being late..

And this is what Revealed does to me, Jigs. Your story opens my eyes to what I have done right or wrong in my relationships, it helps me recognise stubborn pitfalls that throw me deeper in a spiral of despair, it teaches me to be thankful for repairing and bettering them, it shows me a little bit of the future as this relationship progresses to its next stage; it prepares me for the new problems and bliss that comes from being a parent. Now, in the beautiful quietness that surrounds me as I read this update, I hear your words reverberating in my head and I learn.

This update helped me learn that words without actions are meaningless, but actions without words are confusing.

How beautifully you have portrayed Khushi's anxious anticipation for the morning to come. The need to make sure that everything will be OK keeping her awake and restless, irritated by minor things. What a great friend you have made Lavanya, releasing some of the pressure that she is feeling. But it is her husband that puts her heart at rest and allows her to relax in peaceful slumber. I love how the marriage is strong the way it should be. He recognising her role in making his dream of becoming a father come true, she realising his place in their life. Actions speak louder than words here as they come together mentally and physically. As he acknowledges just before falling asleep: together. And together they address Aneri as his, her, their daughter.

As Khushi thought during the night, their daughter is strong and selfless, just like them, she has already become a part of them. But how to convince her? The tears they are shedding for her suffering and the wrong beliefs that she is clinging to now, have to wait. Different actions are required to allow her to see that she is The ONE.

And from one strong and selflessly stubborn daughter to a likewise father. From one weary and fearful daughter to a reassuring and selfless mother. I do not want to say parents to be now, as in their hearts they are both her parents already. If only Aneri can see it herself...

But she is like them, waiting to be of them and they will make her see that. Through actions and words they take away all her fears and hesitation, they see her change and believe the million reasons why this forever needs to happen and why with her. The hugs, the kisses, the holding of hands, the looks in the eye as they answer her questions and reinforce their reasons are working. She can see that she is their baby, noone else will do for them.

As she lifts her arms for her father to take her to their tree, she has already abandoned all her reasons of why not. How poignant that in this place where she feels her parents, she can feel the same breeze for her new parents asking her to see with their eyes. This forever is sealed in her "ME". Aneri Sing Raizada (well damn the paperwork, she already holds that title) is ready to go home with papa and mamma.

Yes, there will be more problems in the future, there is a reason why Khushi will sleep with her in her Princess bed. There will be more apprehensions as she meets new people and get used to living in Shantivan and later in Chicago, but there will also be a lot of happiness and that's why today I am rejoicing in the hope that they are giving each other. The other issues do not stand a chance at diminishing it...love truly conquers all.

First of all, Laakhon Sorry for the late unres, but I was busy with You Know What (No gutter please!)

This update was all about showcasing why Arnav and Khushi would be the perfect parents for Aneri, and I adored seeing their interactions with her. She's a wonderful, wonderful child, who was dealt a very harsh hand by fate. She has more walls built up than any three year old ever should have to, and it was made clear in this update that, Arnav and Khushi are the perfect people to bring them down and show her the other side of life than the one she has seen so far.

Her fear at losing them, but her quiet determination to not let them see it. My brave little angel.

The way she tried to convince them to adopt a baby...oh, my heart breaks for her :( But the shaatir dimaag Raizada dealt with it in the best way possible, in a way that would clear her doubts without making her feel like they weren't listening to her <3

I can't wait to see how this goes forward!

This little girl might be fictional but to me, Aneri is so real and special, as are the many little ones out there that need to know they are all amazing. My heart just goes out to them, and wish they can find someone to love them unconditionally... kash, if only...

I know exactly how you feel. I feel the same way - just go hug them all and bring them home. My heart goes out to these little darlings and I think about them and Aneri so much now a days. It stopped being fictional a long time ago. I really wish I could do something...
