I liked a few things about Siya Ke Ram that I would like to point out:
First n foremost is the simplicity. The sets are grand n yet so simple. The costumes of the actors are royal yet correctly normal...The actors are seasoned n the background music is soothing. I remember watching Star Plus' Mahabharat which had amazing background scores which were sometimes too loud.
I loved the songs n tunes played in the background for Ma Sita...It was so soothing...
The over the top mantra jaap that we get to hear in other serials make it very unrealistic...For a change I saw a mythological show in recent times where the music is so subtle...Just loved it!!
Ma Sita's entry was divine...The girl looked ethereal as Sita and Ma Durga...The entry was so subtle with no loud music or tune...Just a soulful tune depicting Ma Sita's simplicity...
Another thing that took my breath away was King Janak's ideologies...What a man!!
He was proud of having daughters n his kingdom would be known after his daughter!! Indeed...
That scene gave me goosebumps...
Overall I am liking the show bcoz of its ethereal simplicity...Be it the clothes or the sets or the music...everything is so simple in a grand way...I am loving it.
I hope the CVs keep this simplicity intact...
I am a mythology fan n have been studying Mahabharat for quite some time...
However my knowledge on Ramayan is limited to a kiddish Bengali version by Upendrakishore Raychoudhury which I had studied in Class IV long time back...
I do have some knowledge on the basic story but I have learnt one thing from Mahabharat that the best way to learn the epic is by going through the actual text thoroughly instead of going through modern interpretations n blogs...bcoz most of these give out false stories...Looking forward to having discussions here.
I would really love to learn about Ramayan from the actual text...
Love
