Quality and creativity, REALLY! Indian shows are mostly popular because of actors not the stories. There is never a story.

everything I learn about religion and culture are from the tv shows too 😆😆

its been quite a journey watching indian tv soaps, but one thing I always love are the outfits they have during festivals, the house decorations etc.

Yes dear,

The clothes are nice. ...and you get to know about the religion. ...they just need to show more creativity to appeal to the wider audience from different backgrounds and not only those from Asian communities

I don't know if you watch any other soaps on indian tv, but because of the heritage and incredible diversity of india, the daily soaps will only ever focus on their culture (which is pretty cool as it is not always shown on western television)

There is a new show on star plus that tells the story of Ram and sita I think which I want to watch just so I can see the story unfold

the problem: Ekta and other producers (such as our own ANUP) will show characters (especially woman) in a bad light - they have a very unique definition of EMPOWERMENT, strength, intelligence 😆,

at first I would blame production and writers, but its not their fault when it gets views 😒

I've been trying to pin down what really impresses an indian audience, but i'm beginning to believe there is no such thing that exists that everyone will like, exhibit A: TRPs rocket, but the forum want to pull eyeballs and hair out 😆,

i'm starting to wonder will such a story exist that everyone is pleased - i believe there is, but #TeamEkta will never find it

the TRP thread really surprised me this week, NAAGIN did exceptionally well for a brand new show, kudos to them, I never saw a snake drama do so well from its inital episodes

then again, I think half of those ratings are to do with the actors like @strings said (epsically mouni roy fans), but equally it may have been for a good story. Honestly have no idea as I didn't tune in (very busy 😳)

" Siya Ke Ram ", even I am thinking to watch that show... Its Ramayan from Sita ji's POV...

I feel it will be interesting...

Ratings I dnt feel have much to do with the actors... becuz SNS actors never please me ... They are like Manas... constant expressions throughout...😆

Bad stories with a good presentation do work over here...

Good stories with good presentations will also work but I dnt think this type of story they will ever be able to write...

Matsh has a good story but I can't give 10/10 on presentation ... They keep forgetting, skipping the tracks... their mood also keeps changing from time to time... our CVs always want to sail in two boats... can never decide what they want 2 show..😆 .They are also highly responsible for the fall in TRPs... I have seen few episodes of Sasural Musibaton Ka and Swaragini - Besure kar den rishton ke Sur...😆... They have an utterly idiotic plots but their track starts and ends well with all loopholes closed...

and we have to accept the fact that the society in which we live is still inclined to superstitions and blind faith in the name of religion... a great sector of society is inclined...so nowonder naagin type shows are working... I have seen naagin but apart from Arjun and Sudha Chandran and Mouni ... all are boring me...😆

But one thing never works ... stories for young generation...😆 😆 No matter how much good it is and how well it is presented...
