Thank you for your lovely comments for last part, had no idea you guys would have missed it while I was away for a year and come to read it for moi. Much love <3

Chapter Six

"What do you think is happening inside?" Najma whispered to Aleem who leaned back against the sofa crossing his legs staring back at her.

"Tamater, did you say?" Aleem was in his own thoughts. Najma looked at him confused.

"Bhaijaan calls me tamater, yes." She nodded.

"I wonder why" He had his hand under his chin trying to think, Najma turned completely red finding his gaze on her. "Ahhh now it makes sense." Najma looked away shaking her head trying not to smile at his random conversation.

"Ahem, mission." Najma snapped at him. She watched his eyes widen before looking back at the door.

"Well, you think they have confessed?" Aleem asked her with hopeful eyes, he knew he was pushing it.

"They have only been in there for fifteen minutes. Not for months. Your sister doesn't even know she loves my brother and my brother will not confess as he is engaged to your younger sister. Oh.My.God" Najma placed her hands over her head realising how complicated it was. "Our plan is a flop, this isn't going to work. They are both bound by other relationships" She started to panic. Aleem jumped up and placed his hand over her rambling mouth and placed a finger on his lips. She blinked innocently up at him.

"Everything will be fine. Everything is complicated I know but this is your plan and I have full faith that it will work. They may not confess but they will realise that they do have feelings for each other. And then, we will work from there. I am with you." Aleem relaxed her. She nodded along with him removing his hand from her mouth and held it.

"I hope so." She breathed out. Aleem smiled finding his hand in between hers.

"I love you Zoya" Asad whispered, his lips brushing hers momentarily; Zoya's eyes snapped open realising what they were doing. She pushed him off her, Asad stumbled back a few steps. It took him a few seconds to realise what was happening and what his lips had uttered. He blinked a few times before focusing on her as the shower continued to fall over her. Her face was filled with shock and guilt at the same time. He brushed his hand over his face, this was his fault. Not hers. It was all his doing, he went close to her, he did this to her. He had no intention of getting this close to her, heck, he had no idea how close he wanted to get to her until he resolved Aaliyah situation. He stepped forward and pushed the shower button to switch it off. Zoya shivered enveloping herself with her arms, her lips quivered with her eyes overflowing.

"Zo- Miss Farooqui" Asad put his hand towards her shoulder but then fisted it and brought it back. He turned around frustrated and punched the air; all his feelings were burning him from the inside. He was controlling himself all these days, but today, how did he lose his control?

"Mr Khan, the door" Zoya's voice was quiet but he heard her. He heard her heartbeats; he heard whatever was in her heart. This silence was also saying something. Asad took a deep breath; he will just pretend this did not happen. But it did happen his insides reminded him. There is no going back Asad. Asad cursed his insides for reminding him that there is no escape from whatever he felt for her. He just confessed that he loved her. And she pushed him away.

"Yeah" He coughed trying to regain his composure. He moved towards the door and shook the doorknob. He slammed his hand against it, Zoya jumped a little. "Sorry" He looked over his shoulder, his eyes daring him to look at her but he had no courage to do so. He didn't want to get rejected twice within the same day. She slowly stepped forward towards him and stood there silently watching him. Her heart was beating frantically inside of her. Her mind was screaming at her reminding her heart that she has fallen for this man and her desire to be with him was increasing by the minute. She wanted this man in front of her; every vein in her body was pushing her closer to him. She tried to steady her breathing, she was fighting within herself. She was not aware that guilt was ready to consume her as soon as she lets her guard down.

"Aapi?" Aleem shouted from outside. Najma tried to contain her laughter. "Aapi, are you in here?" He came closer towards the door. Zoya grabbed hold of Asad's shoulder, he placed his hand over hers turning around horrified. He didn't want Aleem to come to the wrong conclusion seeing them like this.

"Bhaijaan?" Asad pressed his eyes shut hearing his sister's voice. How did she know he was here?
"I have seen his jacket downstairs, he has to be here somewhere" She pretended look around the room. Asad opened his eyes and looked down at his shirt. Damn it.

"Aapi? Where are you?" Aleem raised his voice. Zoya gulped breathing heavily. Asad nodded at her to calm her down, he resisted the urge to caress her face to relax her and comfort her.

"Aleem, we're in the bathroom. The door is stuck" Asad shouted. Zoya pressed her lips together nervously, Asad watched her as she clutched onto his shirt nervously trying to make all of it go away. Aleem and Najma hi-fived each other giggling like school children.

"We're?" Asad mentally hit his head against a wall hearing his sister's questioning voice. "Are you both in there?" She asked innocently. Damn, your cuteness Tamater. Zoya blinked at Asad, he shook his head in a no still trying to convince her that everything will be fine. He didn't realise he had his arms wrapped around her waist while she clutched onto his shirt. They were both seeking comfort from each other without realising it.

"Okay, what do you want me to do?" Aleem shook the doorknob.

"Open it obviously" Najma hit his arm.

"How?" He demonstrated his hands raising his voice.

"With a k-" He placed his hand over her mouth to hush her. He warned her with his eyes. She nodded meekly.

"Aleem, you will have to kick it down. I would have done it but it's the opposite way and I will probably do more damage to myself than the door." Asad explained still holding Zoya in his arms.

"Move back!" Aleem instructed. Asad moved away from the door with Zoya. Najma's hand went over her mouth as she looked at Aleem questioningly; are you really going to kick the door down? He messed with the doorknob unlocking it with the key before pushing against it pretending he was trying to open it. "Oh there you go" He smirked at Najma pushing the door open. He turned around and froze with Najma finding Asad and Zoya in each other's arms staring back at them. Aleem and Najma awkwardly glanced at one another with Asad and Zoya doing the same inside. They both shot off each other realising what they were doing.

"I er, I" Zoya fumbled with her words stepping forward to walk out but then realised her top was revealing too much. Instead of running out of there, she hid behind Asad. Aleem and Najma gave each other a knowing look while Asad stood there dumbfounded.

"I er have bhaijaan's jacket, one sec" She pointed one finger at them running back towards the sofa and grabbing it. "Here you go" Asad reached for it instead of Zoya before turning around and wrapping it over her. She looked up at him with teary eyes trying to stop herself crumbling. She didn't know what was happening anymore. Her head was bursting and her temperature slowly rising again. Asad's hand went over her forehead.

"Damn it." Asad glanced over at Aleem worriedly, "Her temperature" He wrapped his arm over a shivering Zoya and walked her out of the bathroom. Aleem and Najma watched as they both walked out of the office.

"What do you think happened in there?" He asked crossing his arms, grinning.

"Enough" She smiled adorably at him.

"He's taking care of my sister" He sighed.

"Tamater, dry her face" Asad passed his handkerchief that was in the car to Najma. He was shivering from the cold too. He turned the heater on and started the car. He watched from the rear view mirror as Najma wrapped her arms around Zoya trying to stop her from shaking. "Don't worry, you'll be home soon" He assured her driving as fast as he could.

"Bhaijaan, she is still shaking" Najma said worriedly, she felt guilty. This was all their planning.

"I know tamater, don't worry." He parked up outside of her house and jumped out of the car. He yanked the passenger door open and ducked his head inside to scoop her up into his arms.

"I am fine" Zoya told him, he didn't listen picking her up into his arms. She nuzzled into his neck wrapping her arms around his neck. Sanaya and her mother covered their mouths in shock seeing the sight before them. Najma casually smiled at them before closing the door in their faces. Some nosy neighbours around here.

"You're home now" Asad placed her on the bed and looked back at Najma tempted to change her clothes himself to make her feel warm again. He reluctantly walked out of the room leaving Najma to change Zoya's clothes. He smiled towards Aleem coming in through the door who rushed inside his room and brought some of his clothes for Asad to change into. He did without asking any questions. He walked out of the room as soon as he changed and glanced at Zoya's door. Aleem looked up from the sofa and smiled at him.

"Bhaijaan" Najma rushed out of the room, "I'm just going to boil some water and Aleem, grab her medicines please. She is still shivering" She ran towards the kitchen. Asad entered her room to find her sat against the headrest with the duvet wrapped around her. She looked up at him, her eyes conveyed so much. She lowered her gaze wrapping the duvet tightly around her petite frame shaking back and forth, Asad sat down on the bed next to her.

"Your hands" Asad said softly. She slowly put her hands out to him. He took her hands in between his and rubbed them in motions. Zoya watched him trying to take care of her, to stop her from shaking. She may not be feeling so warm on the outside but her heart was radiating all sorts of heat. She felt it spread all over her body. He placed his hand on her forehead, "You're so hot but I don't understand why your hands are so cold." He went on with himself. Najma pressed her lips together.

"She's so hot" Najma whispered to Aleem who shook his head at her childish joke. He leaned against the door watching the two. "Bhaijaan, here is the water bottle" Asad put his hand out to her without looking back at her. Najma did as she was told and placed it in his hand before stepping back. Zoya's eyes went over their siblings before landing on Asad's face.

"Here, take this" Asad moved the duvet and placed it on her lap before wrapping it around her again. Zoya was so drained to even question whatever he was doing. But, whatever it was, it felt good. For once in her life, she was allowing someone else to take care of her. She didn't know what happened to her when she ran into his arms from Malik, all she knew was that she felt protected and safe. And that barrier that she built around her, she felt it crumble in his presence, his proximity intoxicating her. Aleem observed his sister's face, her eyes locked on Asad's face as he fussed with her. He was definitely doing the right thing. He didn't know what he was going to tell Aaliyah but he knew she will understand.

"Let's leave them to it" Najma motioned her head; Aleem nodded closing the door behind them.

"You need to rest" Asad told her. She shook her head.

"I am fine" She whispered softly, looking away.

"You're so stubborn Miss Farooqui, you're not well. And you're saying you're fine." He spoke, disappointed.

"No, I mean... I just didn't need to lie down to rest..." Her voice trailed off meeting his eyes. Her mind went over whatever happened in the bathroom. He told her he loved her. He loved her. Asad could tell what she was thinking about, he wasn't ready for the questions that were coming his way. He waited for her to question him, but none came his way. He was wondering what was going on in her mind after all. He is definitely expecting her to lash out at him, because he had made a mistake. Him loving her was not a mistake, but telling her while he was engaged to Aaliyah was.

"I uh I'm going to sit outside" Asad pointed towards the door.

"Mr Khan, you're getting married in over a week. There is a lot of preparation left to make. I think you should go home and rest" Zoya spoke staring in one direction. Asad's eyes shot towards her, his heart stung like never before. He was horrified by what came out of her mouth. She held her breath, not wanting to look in his direction. She was in love with her sister's fiance and she wasn't feeling guilty about it when she should be digging her own grave and stepping into it. How could she? How did she allow herself to lose control of her emotions? How dare her heart cross that forbidden bridge? How dare did she enjoy his proximity? How dare did she allow her desire to take control of her heart, mind and soul for this man? Why? Why did she want this man to take care of her? Why did she want to clutch on to this man and lay her head on his chest? Because you love him. Her heart told her. I know you stupid heart. Her mind screamed. Tears streamed out from her eyes, her lips quivered. What has she done? How will she answer to Aaliyah?

"I" He wanted to wipe her tears away as he watched her breakdown internally. He watched her move off the bed stopping him from getting up. She walked towards the window; she closed her eyes trying to steady her racing heart.

"I'm sorry about today Mr Khan, I'm sorry I don't know how I lost my control and allowed such a thing..." Asad grabbed the edge of the bed. What? He stared towards her back questioningly. She lost control?

"What are you saying Miss Farooqui?" He stood up, she felt exactly the same way as him. She lost her control along with him.

"No I" She turned around to face him, "I think you should go home.. thank-" Her voice trailed off once more, his face wasn't fazed. He seemed determined now. But for what? She didn't know.

"You said you lost control" Asad reminded her, Zoya cursed herself looking away. He hadn't realised, she just told him that she did.

"No I didn't mean that..." She lied.

"Then what did you mean?" He asked her. Zoya closed her eyes counting to ten hoping he would disappear. He took a step forward, Zoya opened her eyes. Asad debated whether he should confess to her again while he waited for her answer. His heart knew no restrictions realising she might be feeling exactly the same way as him. He broke all his resolve, any promises that he made to himself. He just wanted to tell her how he felt.

"I mean..."

"You feel something for me, Miss Farooqui" Asad spoke for her.

"No" She shook her head furiously.

"I wasn't asking you, I'm telling you."

"No, I can't." She shook her head again. She knew she was in love with this man, but she wouldn't admit it. Never. Her admitting it would shatter her parent's belief in her. She was never going to let this happen. Asad laughed, but he didn't find this funny.

"You just admitted that you do." He held onto her gaze, she could pretend to go into denial but he wasn't going to let her off that easily. He knew he was being selfish, but he didn't want to marry her sister and play happy family when he was madly in love with her.

"Your brother is good" Aleem praised to Najma holding his ears against the door. Najma put her finger to her lips to make him be quiet.

"I didn't say anything like that" Zoya defended herself. What is he doing?

"You love me but cannot love me. You feel like you will be hurting your sister if you did. Because you can never be selfish. You don't want to love and let anyone else love you. That is what you said didn't you? You don't choose to fall in love, love just happens." Asad watched her face flash with a mixture of emotions; he was breaking her barriers not knowing he had already broken them. "Have you ever thought that your sister will be happy to see you find love?"

"Find love with her fiance?" She said sarcastically.

"Yes, with her fiance. Because she is not my destiny. You are" Asad said confidently.

"Do you have any idea what you are saying? Why are you even saying all of this?" She cried.

"Because I have fallen madly in love with you Miss Farooqui. Not today, not yesterday but the day I first caught a glimpse of you. I have admired and respected you for a very long time just knowing about you. I never realised you will turn out to be the woman I have been waiting for years..." Asad finally confessed. Zoya's lips trembled as more tears streamed out of her eyes.

"No no you cannot Mr Khan, you cannot fall in love with me and I cannot love you" Zoya fell to her knees. Asad joined her on the floor, he didn't like the fact that he was making her cry for her own good. He took her hands into his.

"I want to share your responsibilities Miss Farooqui. I want to be your love, your rock, your strength. I want to be the one to provide you with a shoulder to lean on, I want to share your sadness and double your happiness. I want your family to be mine." Asad didn't have a confession ready but whatever came out of his mouth was what he held in his heart. "I do not love Aaliyah, I love you" Zoya's eyes widened in shock, she took her hand back to her chest.

"Mr Khan, you got engaged to Aaliyah. You said you were happy... You" Zoya was hyperventilating. Aaliyah was her little child, and the man that she was getting her married to didn't love her.

"I said yes, for you" Asad answered truthfully, there was no going back now. His mother would be so disappointed with him right now. Aleem and Najma looked at each other, their mouths dry from the confession inside of the room.

"For me?"

"I didn't want you to fail as a parent. I knew how hard you worked to bring your siblings up, you sacrificed so much for them. She had your upbringing and values instilled into her, I didn't want to say no and fail you. You wanted this to happen" Asad had his head down by this point.

"But I haven't failed by falling in love with my sister's fiance?" She didn't know what to do.

"Miss Farooqui, falling in love is not a crime. You haven't failed anyone. Your parents would have wanted you to be happy." He tried to convince her, she was feeling even more guilty now.

"I have responsibilities" She chanted.

"That doesn't mean you cannot be happy."

"I cannot abandon them" She cried.

"You will not abandon them, you didn't that day and you won't today." He didn't know what was going through her mind. He was startled when she grabbed hold of his hand, her eyes red.

"Please don't reject my sister. Mr Khan, it isn't too late. My sister is happy with this marriage, please. I cannot take away her happiness" Aleem wanted to go in there realising she was repeating their uncle's words, Najma stopped him.

"Zoya!" Asad raised his voice, "Do you realise what you are saying? I will not be able to keep her happy."

"You can Mr Khan. You can" She pleaded. "Please, I beg you."

"Why aren't you understanding what I have been trying to tell you" Asad placed his hand over hers, "I love you."

"Please" Zoya held both of her hands up at him bursting into more tears, begging for him to marry Aaliyah. "For me, please" Her voice was full of desperation. "I cannot let his words ring true. Please, I do not want to take away her happiness. Please marry her." Asad moved back and got up onto his feet. She looked up at him with quivering lips; Asad's heart stung seeing her state.

"Are you sure?" He asked her, his tone of voice changed. "I will never be able to love her" He held her eyes momentarily before walking towards the door and yanking it open with force. Najma and Aleem sprinted in different directions.

"Mr Khan" Zoya called out faintly behind him falling backwards onto the floor.

"Tamater, I am going home. Join me outside if you want to come along" Asad's voice was cold and bitter. He didn't look at either one of them pacing towards the door. Aleem nodded at Najma to go, she waved at him running behind her brother. Aleem closed the front door and looked back towards his sister's room. He ran towards her room to find her on the floor, broken. He fell to his knees engulfing her in his arms.

Asad forcefully shut his car door startling Najma inside of the car. She bit her bottom lip nervously; her brother's temper was beyond anything today. She watched him rush inside of the house and breathed out heavily following behind him.

"Asad" Dilshad called out, but Asad didn't hear anything. He closed the door shut behind him and spun in his room. He didn't know why he was so angry at her. He knew she wouldn't embrace him when he told her that he loved her but he certainly did not expect her to beg him to marry her sister. He kicked the stool in front of him raking his hair with his fingers.

"Najma, what happened beta?" Dilshad inquired watching her come inside. "Why does he look so angry?"

"I think you should talk to him Ammi, only you can console him." Najma told her.

"But what happened?" She asked her again.

"Ammi, please just go in there" Najma pleaded. Dilshad nodded and rushed towards his room. She opened it and shut it close behind her.

"Asad?" She watched him, sat on the bed holding his head low. He looked up at his mother with teary eyes. Never has he felt so torn and confused in his entire life. Asad Ahmed Khan was not like this.

"Ammi..." Asad started, failing to find words to explain anything.

"You love Zoya, don't you?" Dilshad met his eyes. A mother's heart always understands her child's dilemma before anyone. More so, she knew he would fall in love with Zoya.

"Yes." Asad admitted in a defeated whisper.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Aaliyah?" Zoya knocked on her door before entering to find her working. "What is this? They are coming over tomorrow for your haldi ceremony. You are still working on these books." She scolded her. Aleem watched from the door.

"I have to give these to them before I go. My students need to know how good of a job I have done. Most of them passed" Aaliyah joked. Zoya caressed her hair back.

"Okay, finish this and come into my room." Zoya smiled at her. She turned around to find Aleem standing there. "Yeah if you want to, you can too" She watched his face lighten up.

"The last of the deliveries have come for today. I have placed them in the corner of the living room." He explained placing his arm over her walking her out. "The decorations look good. We'll just change those in the morning." He pointed towards the flowers. "Asad bhaijaan likes those." He watched her expressions change hearing his name. She hadn't uttered a word about Asad in the last week. She got herself busy with the wedding preparations and avoided any such topic. He thought he might see her resolve break when Aaliyah came back from the trip, but seeing Aaliyah so happy, Zoya become more determined to make this work. Deep inside, she knew she was wrong in forcing Asad to marry Aaliyah but for her sister's happiness, she will do this. She also knew Asad; he would definitely keep her happy and gradually will fall in love with her. He hated seeing her go into deep thought like she used to when their parents passed away.

"How do you know he likes them?" Zoya questioned. Aleem hid a smile.

"I met him a few days back when I went to pick out the flowers for the decorations. He had picked these." Aleem pointed. Zoya followed his direction before squealing feeling his finger tap her nose.

"Aleem!" Zoya hit his arm playfully.

"Sorry, but he did pick them" He continued the conversation; Zoya looked away hoping he didn't.

"He was asking about you" Aleem told her.

"Samihaaa!" Zoya ran towards her room seeing Samiha go hyper. Aleem shook his head; you're going to have to face this aapi, whether you like it or not. I will make sure of it.

"Aaliyah, come on!" Aleem shouted behind him so that they could chill out in their big sister's room. He was definitely going to miss her.

"Ammi, I'm not coming. You all go, have fun!" Asad buttoned his shirt. He didn't want to face Zoya.

"ASAD!!" Dilshad scolded him. "Then where on earth are you going dressed up?"

"Office" He replied.

"Oh no you're not Asad. You're going to this haldi ceremony. This was our decision to have a joint haldi and mehndi at theirs. You cannot back out now. This is for you" Dilshad tried to make him understand.

"I'm not coming Ammi" He turned around and looked at his mother.

"Asad, the guests are already here. You cannot do this to Zoya. She will be expecting you."

"She will be expecting her sister's fiance" Asad said numbly.

"Asad, get changed now. Five minutes" She demonstrated her hand. "The guests are here, we are leaving soon. I want you outside." She threatened her son with her eyes and walked out of the room. Asad breathed into his hand.

"Asalaamu Alaikum" Aleem greeted Dilshad and Najma at the door along with their guests. "Come on inside" He put his hand out for them to enter.

"Where is he?" Aleem whispered to Najma who shrugged her shoulders.

"He didn't come" She whispered back to him. He pressed his forehead.

"Najma, what was the point of everything?" He asked her smiling at the guests awkwardly.

"Can I ask you something?" She pulled him to the side.

"Yeah sure, obviously" He eyed her hand on his wrist. She removed it instantly.

"You want to break one sister's wedding for another?" She questioned him. He took a deep breath running his eyes over the decorated house.

"For Zoya aapi, I will do anything. She has sacrificed everything for us. Knowing that she is in love with your brother, there is nothing stopping me from making sure my sister gets her love. And Aaliyah would understand, she has been doing this for aapi's happiness. She didn't even look at your brother when he came to see her that day at the restaurant. She didn't even glance at the picture in the envelope. She knew our sister wouldn't make the wrong decision for her. She is our mother; I have blind faith in her. I have made a promise to give her happiness. If this means that I have to break my younger sister's wedding to a man that doesn't love her. I have no regrets. Aapi and my jeeju love each other." He smiled; she nodded at him with teary eyes.

"Where is she?" Najma wiped the side of her eyes.

"On the roof, she left all the plates out there. She will be down now, she doesn't know you're here" Aleem walked towards the guests with Najma beside him. His eyes fell on Sanaya coming in through the door. "Lord help me" He cringed finding her ogling at him. He felt like she was stripping him naked with her eyes. He did not feel safe around her; his izzat is always at risk. "Stay beside me" He pleaded.

"Huh, why?" Najma asked confused seeing him act odd. She followed his gaze towards his neighbour. She could see that her eyes were yearning for Aleem. She burst out laughing.

"It's not funny" He whined like a child.

"It is a bit." She scrunched her nose. Aleem turned to find Dilshad bringing Aaliyah out into the room; she looked absolutely beautiful wrapped in a yellow and white churidar.
"Bhaijaan came" Najma whispered looking towards the front door. Aleem looked up to find his sister carrying a plate in one hand and holding her saree pleats in the other. She was dressed in a pale yellow saree, with white flowers wrapped around her plait on one side. She looked no less than a glowing bride. He watched her skip down the stairs realising Dilshad had already come.

Asad entered the house with a heavy heart with Ayaan following behind him; the decorations glistened back in his eyes. He watched everyone busy around the bride to be. His bride to be. His heart still stung at the thought. He wasn't fussed that there was no one at the door to greet him; he didn't like anyone fussing over him. His eyes landed on her at the top of the stairs, coming down the stairs dressed in a pale yellow saree glowing like never before. She looked ethereal, too beautiful to describe making him go breathless like the engagement night. He admired the flowers wrapped around her hair, her saree perfectly wrapped around her body as her delicate hands fussed with the pleats. Her white dangling earrings sparkled in his eyes. He watched her rush down the stairs before raising her long eyelashes to meet his eyes. He observed her expressions as a gush of feelings hit her face bringing her to a standstill in the middle of the stairs. But her feet didn't stop, her flower platter dropped out of her hands as she flew down the stairs. His eyes widened rushing forward towards her and grabbing by the waist and turning with her body in the air. Zoya reached for his shoulders finding him coming towards her before wrapping her arms around his neck to stop herself from hitting the floor. They both spun around before falling on the flower bed, Zoya over Asad both clutching onto each other for dear life. Everything came to a standstill, the murmuring of the guests mellowed watching the sight before them. Aleem grinned crossing his arms and leaning against Najma. Asad breathed into her neck, his lips lingering on her skin. Zoya panted over him, her eyes closed, her heart beating against his chest. She slowly lifted her head and looked into his eyes.

XOXO

This is getting more and more gripping..

They still haven't told Aaliyah...

Not having a good feeling about this!

Najma and Aleem? Some distant wedding bells can be heard! ;)

Both are right on their stance..

Zoya too has some responsibilties and her fears that she will snatch her sibling's happiness is the biggest hurdle all thanks to her dear Uncle...

Asad is ready to leave all and fight for his love but in india things arent so easy...

The relatives have to badmouth then shun them from society...
Then the uncle comes running pretending to be concerned and shit...

Hope these things change...

Update soon!

Chapter Seven (Final)

Zoya stared into his eyes longingly, her erratic heartbeats evidence of the effect he has on her. The world around her slowed down only being able only hear his heartbeat. She couldn't hear the music, she couldn't hear the murmuring amongst the guests, she didn't realise where she was except from the fact that she was in his arms.
Asad didn't want to blink just in case she disappeared. Holding her against him, hearing her heartbeats, feeling her warm breath over him brought out every raw desire within his body for her back to life. His hand tightened around her bare waist under the saree while his other hand trailed up her arm. The pain in his heart was replaced with pure yearning for this woman, both of their sacrifices long forgotten.
Aaliyah and Dilshad held onto each other trying to process everything in front of them. Aleem shook his head with a wide grin on his face; Najma looked at him from the corner of her eyes and smiled.

"Aapi, are you okay?" Samiha stood over them with her hands on her hips, worried for her sister but she didn't seem to get back up from her jeeju's arms. Zoya broke out of her trance, Asad's eyes moved from Zoya to Samiha. Asad helped Zoya get up only for her to tangle in her saree and fall back on top of him pushing him back down with force. Aleem tried to contain his laughter, Najma elbowed him.

"Ouch" Zoya winced hitting her elbow on the marble floor.

"Are you okay?" Asad whispered into her ears, she lifted her head and looked at him from the corner of her eyes suddenly aware of all the guests around them. She nodded before tensing finding his arms go around her shoulder to lift her off him slowly before picking her up. Zoya fixed herself looking around the room consciously; her eyes fell on Aaliyah's face. Her head snapped towards his hand on her shoulder before moving out of his hold. Asad looked at his hand before looking at her face, memory of their confession came flooding back. He was here for Aaliyah, not her. His face was drained of any colour that had come from her presence. He stared up into his mother's eyes trying to hold himself together. Zoya clutched onto Samiha comforting her that she was okay. Her eyes went over the guests that hadn't removed their eyes off them still waiting for answers. How does she explain something like this to them? The society doesn't understand this. But she didn't give a damn about society, she only cared about her siblings and their opinion about her. She was afraid of them hating her. She couldn't dare to look into her sister's eyes. She brushed her hand under her eyes to stop her tears from overflowing and moved forward.

"Shall we start-" Asad's hand grabbed hold of her wrist, she felt a pull stopping her from going forward. Catching a glimpse of Aaliyah's face, she turned around to face him. She shivered coming face to face with the intensity in his eyes, it made her numb unable to utter a single word in defence of what was about to explode.

"Bhaijaan, what's about to drop?" Ayaan asked quietly mindful of everyone's eyes on them and he needed to know what was happening to be able to defend his brother. Asad ignored him, his eyes locked on Aaliyah's questioning gaze. He was going to set things right. His eyes moved back to Zoya's horrified face as she twisted her hand in his tight grip.

"I'm not letting go of you no matter how much of a fight you put up with me" Asad warned her, Zoya froze with wide eyes. Her breathing was short and uneven. She could hear the guests whispering in the background. She felt her knees waiver, Asad's hand instantly wrapped over her shoulder to keep her up. "I've got you" He assured her softly. Her piercing gaze wasn't going to stop him from doing what he was about to do.
"Aaliyah..." Asad started awkwardly, this was the first time they were going to have a proper conversation, maybe a one sided one but close enough. Zoya pressed her eyes shut shaking her head sideways.

Aaliyah stepped out of Dilshad's hold,

"What's going on?" She asked softly, almost choking.

Aleem held his hands out to Samiha who was upset to see Zoya crying, she tried to comfort her but ran towards Aleem and jumped up into his arms hoping he would stop their sister from crying.

"Bhaijaan, aapi" She spoke softly relaxing her head against his chest. Najma's hand went over her head reassuringly.

"I love Zoya" Asad announced, his voice echoing amongst the four walls of her home. Zoya broke into a sob hearing the gasps in the background, her eyes refusing to open to take in their questioning gazes. She didn't want to open her eyes and face her sister. And Dilshad, she had so much faith in her. How would she answer to them? She gripped hold of Asad's arm feeling faint, she slowly opened her eyes. She almost fell back seeing all of their faces gathered in front of her; Asad's arm didn't move off her, it only tightened.

"Aapi?" Aaliyah called out to her with teary eyes slowly coming forward, Zoya's lips trembled. She wanted the ground to consume her, relieve her of this guilt. "Why didn't you say anything to me?" She asked her. Zoya's legs gave up; she glided against the side of Asad's body and crashed against the floor. "How could you make me go through with this?" Aaliyah cried stopping Asad from speaking. Aleem breathed out a heavy sigh holding Samiha tightly against him while Najma gripped hold of his arm watching everything in front of her.

"I'm sorry" Zoya's broken voice finally came out; she held her head down in defeat. Asad was about to get onto the floor and embrace her tightly but Aaliyah stopped him indicating for him to back off.

"Aapi, I am your sister. You brought me up; you spent your days and nights taking care of me, always checking to see if I needed anything. You gave me your everything... every bit of your heart, everything you had left within you, you gave to me... how could you forcefully give me something that doesn't belong to me?" Her voice cracked, Aleem smiled. Zoya looked up at her sister with red teary eyes. Everyone's head snapped towards the door hearing someone clapping. Zoya closed her eyes realising who was at the door. Aleem put Samiha down on the floor growling at their uncle who had decided to turn up at their house, uninvited yet again. Asad questioningly looked over at Aaliyah and Aleem as both of their expressions went cold from seeing this man. His hands fisted by his side looking at Zoya's defeated face.

"Didn't I tell you she will steal all of your happiness?" He stepped inside of the house, playing his foot bringing it inside slowly to show them what he was doing. Asad let out a growl, suddenly seeing him as a threat to their family.
"I warned you about her but you didn't listen to me" His mocking tone pierced through all of them. Zoya held her head low. She never gave a damn about what society thought about her or her siblings. All she knew was that when her parents passed away, her siblings needed her. She stepped up to take care of them, give them the love that their parents would have wanted to give to them. All their relatives turned away from them. All they had was each other. And then one day, their forgotten uncle turned up at the door claiming a right on them, their property and their business. He wanted to become their guardian. But it was too late. They didn't need him, they had Zoya. Zoya who worked hard to make sure their home remained a home and their father's business continued to strive. And then came the taunts. He tried to fill their heads against Zoya knowing she was the only one in the way of him getting what he wanted. Zoya, who gave her everything started to become conscious regarding whether she was doing enough for them, whether she would be letting them down. A broken girl who gathered herself and made herself stronger started to fill with insecurities. She couldn't bear hurting any of them. She gave up all her desires to ever want anything for them. To make sure they are happy.

"Get the hell out of here" Aleem stepped forward fisting his hands, his nose flared in anger. This man will not be leaving without an injury today. He was never welcome in their home or ever will be.

"I see you haven't learnt any manners since I last seen you. What bad upbringing!" He remarked tilting his head to look over at a shattered Zoya on the floor. Asad stepped forward and covered her from his sight.
"Aaliyah beta, have you seen what she has done to you? She has taken your fiancee, tomorrow she will take all of this and abandon you!" Zoya's heart ached raw; she winced wanting her parents back. She wanted her baba, she wanted to her heart to stop hurting. She wanted this guilt to leave her. Asad could feel her pain; he kneeled down beside her and wrapped his arms around her. Aaliyah looked below her to find Zoya clutching onto his chest trying to seek comfort from him.

"GO AWAY YOU BAD BAD MAN! GET OUT OF OUR HOUSE, CAN'T YOU SEE MY AAPI IS CRYING. WE DON'T LIKE YOU. You always make her cry!!!" Samiha moved forward and screamed at him from the top of her lungs. Aleem smiled smugly, proud of his little sister showing him his place.

"Who the hell are you?" Aaliyah questioned bitterly, Zoya opened her eyes to look up, Asad's kurta fisted in her hands. "You come in here, uninvited and every single time you point that disgusting little finger at my big sister accusing her of crimes that you had committed. She doesn't have to answer to you or anyone. You are not my baba's brother, you're a pathetic little money hungry coward who likes to point fingers but doesn't realise that three of his fingers are pointing at himself. My sister can do whatever she likes, sell this house, sell the business if it makes her happy. She has worked for it and every bit of it belongs to her. If needs be, I will give her every ounce of my blood to give her the little bit of happiness compared to the world full of happiness she has given us. Get out of here, get out because today I will not allow aapi to stop bhaijaan from beating you black and blue!!!" The innocent Aaliyah stood up for her sister, the words coming out of her mouth in defence of her sister shocked everyone.

"You little" He stepped forward only to be pushed back by Aleem.

"Don't even think about it!" Aleem threatened through his teeth. The uncle laughed. He stared at Dilshad,

"You want to get your son married in this house. These orphaned kids will ruin your home! Mark my words!" He continued his bitter taunts. Asad jumped up onto his feet.
"That selfish girl over there, you don't know her. She has no self-respect, she has sold herself-" Asad punched his face making him fly backwards onto floor, his head snapped back towards Asad dangerously, his hand going over his cheek. Asad breathed harshly, fisting and un-fisting his hands trying to control his anger. Aleem grabbed him by the collar and lifted him up before throwing him out of the door. Asad and Aleem nodded at each other before turning around to find Aaliyah kneeling on the floor in front of Zoya.

"He doesn't belong to me, he belongs to you aapi. He always did. The proposal came for you, not for me" She placed her hand Zoya's distraught shoulders, she lifted her face to look at her. Asad's eyes went over Dilshad who nodded back at him. "Baba's ring is on his finger, what more proof could there be that you two are meant to be?" She cupped her face brushing away her tears. "Please accept him aapi. You're still worried about me, aren't you? Nothing is going to happen to me, look at me. What can they say about this? Nothing. I am a Farooqui, with your upbringing and values. There wasn't an engagement to even break. He was always very much yours. This will not affect me, because there was nothing here to break. I will get lines of rishtas for me; someone that is made for me will come for me." She laughed. "Please marry him, let him take care of you. Let him love you like the way you deserve to be loved. Baba wanted so much for you. For baba's wishes, please. Accept your happiness with open arms. You are not being selfish. You are not hurting anyone. And we will be here with you every step of the way." Aaliyah caressed her face before hugging her tight. Zoya clutched against her pressing her tears out of her breaking into a cry. Aleem joined them on the floor and embraced them both.

"Aapi, please don't cry. That bad man is gone. Jeeju hit him, he won't come back" Samiha stood over them not being able to bear seeing her sweet big sister cry. Zoya opened her eyes and looked up at her before motioning her hands at her. Samiha jumped into her arms and kissed her cheeks. Ayaan broke out of his shock and tapped Asad's shoulder.

"What on earth happened?" He choked out watching the siblings embrace each other on the floor.

"My engagement broke" Asad replied not in the mood to joke around.

"But you're getting married." He nodded towards Zoya, "And the lion spoke today" he teased. Asad glared at him, Ayaan shut up instantly. Dilshad apologised to the guests and took them to the door.

"STOP!" Aleem shouted raising his head from the group hug. "Please don't go anywhere" Zoya looked at him questioningly brushing away her tears. She daringly raised her eyes to meet his loving ones yearning for her.

"What's wrong beta?" Dilshad asked him. He got up.

"The ceremony isn't complete yet." He spoke determined. Everyone looked at him like he had lost the plot.

"Don't look at me like that. My sister is getting married, this haldi ceremony will be complete today" He lifted Zoya off the floor; Aaliyah wiped her tears and nodded towards Aleem.

"What?" Zoya snapped. "No" She shook her head in a no. Asad took a step back.

"Why?" Najma asked her, everyone nodded. She looked into Asad's eyes.

"I'll wait for you. Take as long as you need." Asad turned on his foot and walked out of the house. Zoya glanced at Dilshad who simply smiled at her. She walked over towards her placing her hand over her head.

"I had come to you with my son's proposal, I'm still waiting for an answer from you" Dilshad reminded her.

"Decide soon bhabie" Najma hugged Zoya tightly winking at Aleem before rushing off behind Dilshad.

"Er I" Ayaan pointed in different directions ruffling his hair. He stared at Aaliyah with a smile on his face, Aleem raised his eyebrow.

"Thanks for coming" Aaliyah smiled back at him. She shut the door after the last guest left with her nosy neighbour and looked back at her sister.

"Don't let him go aapi." Aaliyah advised her sister, Zoya took a deep breath looking up at the ceiling.

"I miss mama and baba" She admitted to them, Aleem wrapped his arms around her and kissed the side of her temples.

"Sorry aapi, while we had you to turn to, you had no one to comfort you. We are so sorry" He nuzzled into her hair. Zoya rubbed his shoulder sighing into his chest. She closed her eyes as images of him walking away from her flashed before her. She replayed every memory in her mind of her encounters with him, every one of them bringing out her attraction towards him. She was madly in love with Asad, not her sister's fiancee but Asad, the gentleman who carried her boxes and drove her to her meetings, the guy who saved her from getting raped and mixed pots of colours with her to help her finish her orders. The guy who took care of her when she fell ill, the guy whose arms she felt safe and loved in. This man made her his priority so that she didn't have to worry about her priorities. The guy who wore her father's ring and had become her red. She loved him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Aaliyah, I'm going to be late. Can you please hurry up?" Zoya shouted from the kitchen holding the hot cup of tea and rushing towards the table. Aaliyah paced out of her room holding her ear to apologise for delaying her.
"Are you taking the car Aleem?" Zoya asked her brother who was tying his laces; he was taking his time getting ready.

"Nope!" He answered getting up. She walked over towards him and fixed his tie rubbing his shoulders to fix the odd creases in his suit. She placed her hand on his cheek.

"I'll see you later, have a good day baby" She reached up and kissed his forehead.

"Don't tell me you're going dressed like that?" Aaliyah sipped her tea eyeing her sister's white saree.

"You look like a ghost aapi" Aleem teased rushing towards the door. Zoya raised her hand; he turned around and held his ear before winking at her.

"What's wrong with my white saree?" Zoya pouted, "I have a meeting today." She told her feeling conscious now.

"Aapi, what is wrong with your jeans and tops?" Aaliyah asked her.

"Well, the meeting today is with an old client of baba's. He's like nana jee's age. I don't want to disrespect him" Zoya scratched her head. Aaliyah burst out laughing seeing her sister's expressions.

"I think you've forgotten that you work at a tie dye factory. That crisp white saree won't remain white for long." She played her eyebrows taking a bite of the chocolate biscuit and sipping tea.

"Hmmm" Zoya spoke thoughtfully.

"Aren't you running late now?" Aaliyah placed her bag over her arm and strutted towards the door, Zoya gazed down at her saree sadly. She turned around to fix her hair in the mirror.

"Do I look that bad?" She asked her reflection grabbing the keys and walking out of the door.

Zoya took a deep breath entering the busy factory that was buzzing with machines and chattering amongst the employees. She walked right back out and walked around towards the office building. She was greeted by her dada who was waiting for her to hand over some files to her.

"Good morning" Zoya beamed lowering her forehead for him to kiss.

"How are you beta?" He caressed her face before taking it back to his lips in a loving gesture.

"I'm doing great, thank you. How is the pain in your knee now? Has it decreased? I told you to stay at home." Her voice was full of love and care for this elderly man she considered to be her own.

"I am fine. You go, busy day" He pushed her towards the office. She did as she was told and entered her office. She blew her hair out of the way realising she still hadn't sorted out the mess in the office.

"You are so organised Zoya" She retorted in self-criticism.

Asad stepped out of his room dressed in his white kurta and headed towards the dining table. Dilshad almost spilt the coffee seeing him dressed in the white kurta instead of his suit.

"I thought you had work today..." Dilshad started unsure. Asad picked up the newspaper sitting down in his seat and looked up at her.

"Yes I do." His answer was short and simple. Dilshad looked over at Najma who shrugged her shoulders.

"Are you going somewhere?" Dilshad asked him. He sipped his coffee and glanced over at Najma who was messing around on her phone.

"Tamater, eat properly." He scolded her; Najma shot up and started eating her breakfast. "I'm going to play early holi Ammi" He informed his mother folding the newspaper and getting up. "I'm done, thank you." He wiped his mouth and walked back towards his room.

"What is going on?" Dilshad questioned.

"I don't know Ammi, do you think Zoya bhabie got in touch with him?" Najma asked innocently.

"I don't think so. They will never meet if we don't do something about it. I do not understand what is going on in his mind nowadays. He seems lost since that night." Dilshad sat down on the chair trying to figure out what to do.

"He really loves her Ammi" Najma smiled naughtily looking over at her phone remembering her plans with Aleem. They did a good job of getting them to confess otherwise no one would have known anything until after the wedding.

Zoya opened the window of her office feeling stuffy. She sighed feeling the fresh air caress her face; she smiled allowing it to blow her hair back. Her brows creased finding the back yard filled with white sheets blowing back and forth crazily due to the breeze. There was not a single sheet hung that had colour on it.

"What on earth... is this a tie dye factory or what?" Zoya stepped out of her heels and put on a pair of sandals and rushed out of her office. She ran towards the hallway.

"Meeting with Puneet jee has been cancelled, he is unwell." Sophie informed Zoya as she rushed past her. Zoya flapped her hands to indicate she caught that information and carried on running towards the back door. She panted coming outside of the factory, her eyes ran over the yard that was filled with white sheets.

"What is going on?" She questioned no one in particular moving towards the middle of the yard. She spun around trying to see what was happening, there was no one in sight. Who hung these sheets here? She placed her hand on her hips; she would need to remove them so that they have space to hang the new dyed ones. She took a step forward and froze; she felt a gush of wind blow against her, her saree blew behind her. She closed her eyes momentarily feeling her heartbeats increase.
"Mr Khan?" Zoya whispered before slowly turning around only to put her arms up defensively finding something being thrown at her. A small shriek left her mouth feeling it drench her head to toe, she opened her eyes to find Asad standing there with his arms crossed and a crooked smile on his perfectly shaped lips. She fluttered her eyelashes a few times to check whether she was dreaming. Her eyes moved towards the bucket in his hand and then her saree that was not white any longer. She was covered in red colour.
"What on earth is wrong with you?" Zoya yelled at him, her saree had stuck against her skin showing parts of her body.

"How are you doing Miss Farooqui?" Asad's teasing tone did something to her.

"I'm not doing very great right now Mr Khan" She moved her hair off her face glaring at him. "Why did you soak me in red?" She whined like a child. Asad chuckled.

"Because..." He stepped forward fisting his hands beside him, "Every night for the past two years, a woman used to play hide and seek with me in my dreams, teasing me and testing me to the extent that it made me go crazy wanting to desperately see her face. Sometimes her lips, sometimes her eyes, sometimes her hands, sometimes her bangles, sometimes her anklets..." He held onto her eyes as he took further steps towards her, slowly, one by one. "Covered in red..." He came face to face with her; he took his fisted hands towards her face before smearing her cheek with red colour and then the other. Zoya blinked at him. "Red, the colour of love."

"Who is this woman?" She whispered stepping closer towards him, his hand wrapped around her waist pushing her back making her chest collide with his. Her hands went over his chest before hooking around his neck bringing him towards her; she reached up and brushed her cheek against his.

"That woman is not in my dreams any longer..." He said softly, his hold tightening around her waist rubbing his cheek against hers in motion. She moved her head back; her expressions still the same reaching for the other cheek.

"Why?" She asked him smearing colour on the other cheek. Asad grinned.

"Because she is in my reality" He whispered into her ears before kissing her neck. She squirmed in his hold, his lips lingering on her neck. She moved her head back and looked up into his eyes.
"Why did I have to come here and remind you that I'm still waiting for you?" He asked her.

"I was waiting for you to come get me" She answered.

"So we were both waiting, what if I didn't come?" He raised his eyebrow.

"I would have come into your dreams to harass you again" She replied. "Why did you walk away?"

"Because you didn't stop me." He placed his forehead against hers.

"How could I have stopped after everything that happened? I thought you would understand..." She said softly.

"I did and that is why I walked away. You rejected me" Asad told her.

"No I didn't reject you."

"You said no to our haldi."

"I said no to my sister's haldi, how on earth did you expect me to sit there and apply haldi after you breaking my sister's marriage..." She moved out of his arms.

"I didn't break your sister's marriage. I was technically engaged to you" He held his left hand at her to show her baba's ring. "You put this on me, again and again. It's mine now. I made it my destiny" He gave her a goofy look before pulling her back into his arms.

"So, what now?"

"Will you become my red?" Asad asked her. She raised her eyebrow. "Aleem told me everything!"

"I thought I was already your red?" She said looking down at her white saree that was now painted red.

"Will you marry me Zoya Farooqui?" Asad whispered softly.

"Yes."

Epilogue

"Asad?" Zoya called out, "Asad... ASADDD!!!!" She shrieked his name stubbornly. He came rushing out of the bathroom thinking something had happened. He froze finding a tangled red saree on the floor half wrapped around her body. He tried to contain his laughter.

"What's wrong?" He buttoned his sherwani and came towards her.

"I am an elephant, this saree doesn't fit me anymore" Zoya burst into a cry, Asad cupped her face wiping away her tears.

"Baby, you're not an elephant. You are still fit as before; it's the baby growing bigger inside of you. The saree will fit you, I'll help you." He picked up the saree admiring her baby bump as she stood there with her blouse and petticoat on breathing heavily wiping away her tears. He kissed her forehead to calm her down; she wrapped her arm over his shoulder and pulled him towards her. He kissed her neck and pulled back knowing where all of this was going and right now, they had a wedding to attend.

"Asad, I cannot see my feet." She started crying again looking down. Asad looked up at the ceiling; he couldn't handle her crying any longer. He hated tears in her eyes. "Can I not wear red pyjamas instead?" She asked going back to her normal tone.

"Unless you want Aaliyah to not talk to you, then go ahead" He raised his hands with the saree. She smiled widely stepping forward towards him and stretching her arms outwards. He shook his head kneeling on the floor and tucking the end into her petticoat. He placed a soft kiss on her belly, Zoya giggled.

"Are you going to make me wear red to every occasion?" She asked him innocently helping him pin the end of the saree on her shoulder.

"Yes" He pecked her lips before turning her around and helping her wear earrings. He picked up the red lipstick, Zoya pouted for him. He applied the lipstick to her lips, the urge to cover them with his rising by the seconds.

"You want to kiss me, don't you?" She played her eyebrows.

"Don't push it Mrs Khan, you don't want to miss your sister's wedding to my idiot brother." Asad kissed her cheek before wrapping his arm around her waist to support her out of the room.

"Will my saree fall off?" She looked up at him innocently.

"Your cuteness is killing me Zoya. And I am here, don't worry" He assured her taking her out into the chaos.

"Qubool hai" Aaliyah whispered softly, Zoya wriggled her eyebrows at Asad on the other side. He demonstrated his hand over his neck; she gave him a stern look.

"Congratulations beautiful" Zoya kissed the side of Aaliyah's forehead. She looked around her to see everything had become chaotic again. Everyone had gotten up to congratulate the couple; Zoya carefully got off from the seating area and carried her heavy self towards the food. She didn't want to be in between everyone knowing that she would suffocate. She smiled remembering her nikkah with Asad.

"Wow" She breathed out.

"What are you wow'ing about?" Asad stood behind her and looked over at the food.

"I'm wowing remembering about our Nikkah. The food looks horrible, where is pizza?" Zoya frowned.

"Baby, no tantrums here please. This is a nikkah buffet, not your personal pregnancy cravings buffet. You will have to eat whatever is here. Well, actually no. Not all of this, just this" He grabbed a plate of grilled chicken and pilao rice supporting her towards a quieter area.

"I am not throwing a tantrum okay? Why is there no pizza in the buffet?" She questioned taking a spoonful of rice into her mouth.

"You picked the menu remember?" He brought another spoonful to her mouth. She rolled her eyes annoyingly.

"Oh yeah. My bad." She took the spoonful before holding his hand and kissing it. "Thank you" She whispered with teary eyes.

"For what?"

"For taking care of me" She sniffed. Asad pressed his temples, not again.

"We have already been over this Zoya. Stop it" He scolded her. Aleem and Najma watched from afar as Asad fed Zoya lovingly.

"I can die in peace now" Aleem smiled. Najma hit his arm.

"No dying yet." She smiled towards the sweet couple in front of her. Zoya looked up at Najma in deep conversation with Aleem. She tapped Asad's hand frantically.

"What happened, baby coming?" Asad was alerted.

"No not yet. Long way to go yet baby" She hit his cheek playfully; he is always on edge with the baby. He has already filled the empty bedroom with baby necessities that will cover the baby for the next ten years. She moved his chin to face Najma and Aleem.
"I think we have another wedding." Asad took a deep breath.

"Not again" He moaned, he was exhausted from Ayaan and Aaliyah's wedding. "Tell them to wait another few years."

"Would you have waited that long to marry me?" She raised her brow.

"Heck no." Asad replied instantly before looking up at the ceiling. "One step at a time let the baby come first." He breathed out, Zoya shook her head smiling.

"Asad?"

"Yes baby?" His voice was filled with love and concern for her. She will never get tired of him taking care of her and loving her.

"I love you" She leaned forward and kissed his nose. "There are people watching" She whispered to him, he made a face before looking up to find Dilshad, Samiha, Aleem, Najma and the newly married couple admiring the two. He looked away feeling embarrassed.
"You've literally become my red." She caressed his cheek. He grinned at her wrapping his arms around her not caring that they had an audience. He was married to the woman of his dreams and was having a baby, let them talk about that...
