Khushi was completely broken to see two of the most important people of her life in deep pain. And what hurt her more was the fact that she couldn't do anything and in fact she had in a way increased their pain.
" Only if this Arnav Singh Raizada didn't play a prank that day, the situation today would have been so much more simpler."
Tears flowed down from her doe-like bloodshot eyes, while she didn't even care to wipe them off her face. Only if crying reduced the pain, a heart had to bear. But unfortunately the wounds which were given by Arnav were something which cannot be healed by shedding some tears.
Due to excessive crying, Khushi began hiccupping but she was so lost that she couldn't even get up to take a glass of water and she had gone so weak in her knees that the minute she would get up, she would find herself on the floor.
A glass of water appeared in front of her eyes which went up to see the face of the person who had brought for her. And that face of the person whom she was loathing and was one of the reasons of her tears.
Anger overpowered her as she pushed the glass of water away spilling its contents on Arnav, while Arnav took it all without even a single complain or irritation on his face. Khushi looked away from him with her eyebrows twitched and a frown on her face.
This time, a bar of chocolate appeared in front of her while an innocent joy lit her eyes as the five year old in her had come back to life. She grabbed the bar of chocolate which was probably the only thing which could ease every pain of hers and relieve every stress which she bears.
A smile played on Arnav's lips as he reminisced his conversation with Lavanya, who had told him about this stress-reliever of Khushi.
--FLASHBACK--
" Hello. Who is this?" Lavanya questioned as the name displayed on her screen was 'Private Number' which made her clarify so as to who was the person contacting her.
" Hello Lavanya. This is Arnav, Arnav Singh Raizada." Arnav answered from the other end, while he could hear a gasp escaping Lavanya's mouth.
" You? How did you find my number?" Lavanya furiously questioned as she loathed him as much as Khushi loathed him. After all, one immaturity of his had cost Khushi, her dignity, her career and her life.
" When I came to know that you are my dear Khushi's best friend, Maine Tumhara Number Sabse Pehle Le Liya Tha." Arnav answered genuinely but for a person like Lavanya to whom Arnav was nothing but a fraud from the head to toe, it was just another silly joke of his.
" Oh excuse me? Khushi is not your dear okay?" Lavanya explained as her voice automatically got raised in volume and pitch.
" Oh Yeah Right! Actually she is my WIFE." Arnav countered her while another gasp of shock escaped her mouth but this time Arnav didn't give her a chance to question him and extend the conversation.
" Anyways, tell me what makes Khushi happy when is low or sad?" Lavanya grew all the more furious thinking that Arnav had made her sad yet again.
" You stay away from her. I am sure that will make her to most happy." Lavanya's taunts had pierced a dagger in his heart. He knew that somewhere she was right but he had to make her smile now, isn't it?
" Lavanya, please. If you want to scold me, please call me sometime later and do. I will listen to everything you would say. But for now tell me what makes her happy, whenever she is sad." The seriousness ringing in Arnav's voice made Lavanya realize that he was in a no-nonsense mode and will not appreciate her taunts.
" Chocolates. They will lighten her mood up, no matter what."
Without even answering back to Lavanya, Arnav disconnected the call to go to a store and get the best chocolate out there, while Lavanya kept shouting,
" Arre? Hua Kya Hai Yeh To Bol Dete! Idiot Kahin Ka!"

Sensing Arnav's loving gaze lingering on her skin while almost burning it, Khushi turned towards Arnav while their gazes locked. Arnav could sense that her gaze had softened while sincere and pure love gleamed in Arnav's eyes as an answer to every single question Khushi's eyes were asking.
" Thanks." Khushi slowly muttered while looking away from him, while a soft smile appeared on his lips.
" No need of thanks, Khushi. It was just my duty." Arnav's phone started ringing while Arnav waited for Khushi's reply or a sign for him to pick up the phone, which Khushi gave with her eyes and Arnav accepted it with a curt nod of his head.

Balcony,
" Mumma,you will have to speak to Nani as soon as possible. You know what happened today?" The worry in Arnav's voice made Arunima panic as she became nervous.
" What happened, Chotte? Is everything alright? Did something happen in between you and Khushi or anyone there?" Arunima questioned hurriedly while her worried tone made Arnav feel bad that he had scared her badly.
" No, Mumma. Akash Bhai got married with Khushi's sister, Payal. They came here, to Gupta Mansion today and Garima Aunty was extremely angry on them, possibly because of the facts that they got married secretively and Akash Bhai is my brother." said Arnav while maintaining as calm tone as possible.
" What?? Akash got married without informing us? And that too to Khushi's sister? But how, how did it happen?" Arnav could sense that his mother had gone immensely tense and possibly her usually high blood pressure would have gone up.
" Mumma please calm down. It is not good for your health to get so tensed. And about how it happened, I don't know it yet, Mumma. Everyone was so tensed that I couldn't get a chance to speak to Bhai or Bhabhi." Arnav regretted the fact that he didn't speak to his brother, at least to console him. After all, people expect their family members to console them, don't they?
" How can I calm down, Chotte? Such a big thing happened and Akash didn't care to even inform me or your Papa. And Khushi? She must be even more angry on you right?" Arunima's voice which was filled with anxiety and affection made Arnav's heart respect his mother even more.
" You don't worry about that, Mumma. Khushi Ko Manana Meri Jimmedari Hai. One mistake from my side has destroyed her life and now I will have to correct every mistake I did, to win her. I am sure Mumma, if not today then some day Khushi will realize my love and will not just accept it but will reciprocate it too. And I will patiently wait for that the day as I keep trying to prove my love to her. You just take care of yourself and speak to Nani about this ASAP." One immaturity had resulted each of them in becoming more mature in their actions. Be it Arnav falling in love deeply while respecting the vows he had unconsciously taken or Khushi, who had begun to see beyond her pain and hatred as she heard the conversation in between Arnav and his mother.
Khushi was unable to decide whether Arnav was a good person or a person who cannot be trusted. While it was true that his acts had destroyed their lives, but hadn't it destroyed his life too? He got himself rusticated as a punishment for himself and now was bearing every taunt of hers without a complaint. But how right was it to trust a person who had hated her to any extent where he had threw mud on her dress when she was about to represent the college and a person who didn't hesitate to carry out a prank as dangerous as the marriage to just take revenge?
Answers to her questions, only time could tell. But for now, it was sure that the hatred in Khushi's heart for Arnav had reduced even if it by a very small percentage.
Will this hatred ever erase?
