Part Two..
With a drowning heart, she entered the premises of her office which was suddenly looking too alien to her. The atmosphere was same, still, it was changed.
Everyone was moving from here and there in a fast pace. It was routine. News was being discussed, videos were to be edited, pictures need to be gathered, one of the reporter along with camera assistant running out as they got a lead. They were the usual chaos.
But then. It was not 'her' kind of usual.
"Oye...Tu kab aye..." Sunny caught her attention as he moved closer and pulled her in a side hug before making her lethargic body move towards her desk.
On settling down, her red swelling eyes on there own accord lifted up to the glass cabin infront, hoping to see the person she so needed right now, whose one smile across from those panes would have her feel so mushy and giddy but only got confronted with a disappointment.
Manav.
He surly had acknowledged her presence and couldn't help but smirk, as if showing off his success.
Her heart ached. Disappointment gathered her to another level. Disappointment with her ownself.
This was all His. KABIR's. Kabir deserved it all. He had worked for it all through his years.
"Likin phir bhi...sirf meri wajha se...mere unpe trust na karne ki wajha se...wo apnay itnay saloon ki mehnat, apnay passion, apnay kaam, sab ko chor k chalay gaye...Sirf meri wajha se...Aik waqt tha jab kissi or k power or paise ki wajha se unhain jhukna para...likin phir bhi,wo chupke chupke larte rahay...apnay app ko mazboot kia...apnay app ko is position pe laayay k phir kabhi kissi or ka paisa or power unko jhuka na sakay..." Ananya's heart cursed her.
"Teri tabiyat kaisi hai abh...Itna bukhar...mainu te laga tha k abh ki bar chuti ka kota poora karne ka irada hai tera" Sunny tried to joke only to see not a bit change in her expression.
They were as dead as she was looking now.
Next, Richa made her way out from PCR and rushed on seeing her friend being back once again.
"Ananya...How are you? Fever khatam howa..." She questioned and put her hand on her forehead but Ananya didn't uttered a word in reply. Baby too had made her way to them till then.
The first change was the tear that fell from her eye when her eyes once again fall on the glass cabin.
"Wo chalay gaye...Wo bhi chalay gaye" She whispered and bent her head down as if ashamed.
"Ananya...Ananya..." Richa held her hands and rubbed them.
"Richa...Papa ki tarhan wo bhi mujhe chor k chalay gaye..." She complained as another tear rolled down followed up by many others.
Looking around, Richa found many curious glances falling on Ananya and some were even whispering between eachother. Ananya and Kabir's love story was never a hidden thing in office. Everyone knew. Everyone had witnessed it. So now, after the current events, the talks were natural to arise. Passing a look to Sunny and Baby, she again looked down at her best friend.
"Ananya...Uth...yahan se chal...canteen main bethte hain haan...Utho..." Quickly, making her stand who was still crying silently, Richa lead her friend into the pantry while Sunny and Baby followed with concern look.

"Bus yahan investors or producers se discussion on hai...Unhain ye investment acchi lag rahi hai...I think by the end of this week, hum kuch contracts tau sign kar hi lain gay..." Kabir finally gave the first good news that made Khalid smile.
"That's great Kabir...Mujhe patah tha k tumhare wahan hotay mujhe yaan KL ko fikar karne ki zaroorat nahi...By the way...London kaisa lag raha hai...?" Khalid questioned making Kabir sigh as he stood into the glass wall of his office that was rented by KL and looked outside into the early morning life of the non-stop city.
"Sahi hai...likin kabhi kabhi ajeeb lagta hai...koi lead nahi follow karne ko, koi field work nahi...koi bulletin nahi...Khali office main rehne ki adaat nahi hai mujhe Khalid" Kabir expressed his helplessness.
"I know...but Kabir, abh tum KKN k business head ho...Editor in chief nahi...It's your duty to ensure k KKN expand kare...cause at the end of the day, hum sab bus KKN k employees hain..." Khalid felt bad for the journalist that lies in Kabir but then, he was the one who choose this way.
"I know Khalid...or main..."
"Khalid Sir..." An absolute terrified Baby made her way into Khalid's cabin without even knocking.
"One minute..." He whispered to Kabir before looking back at her. "Kia howa baby..." Khalid inquired while getting up.
"Wo na g...Ananya g canteen main behosh ho gaye hain..."
"What?" That was the first word the escaped from Khalid's mouth but unaware of them, the same word was also heard coming out from mobile phone.
"Ananya office aye hai...Why someone hadn't inform me...I told her clearly k jab tak theek na ho tab tak office na ana...She needed rest..." Khalid was exasperated.
"Mainu Patah Hai G" Baby clarified.
Pressing his anger down, Khalid inquired. "Ok fine, how is she now...Kahan hai wo abh?"
"Wo Sunny g and Richa usay doctor pe lay k janay lagay hain...hosh tau aa gaya hai par unhain chakar aa rahay hain...Main tau bus g appko inform karne k vaste aye thi..."
"Ok...you go and take care...Usko hospital se seedha ghar drop kar k aoo...Thori dair main main khud uske ghar chakar lagata hoon..." Khalid explained and Baby left the room.
Khalid scratched his jaw in worry before he heard the voice coming out from the other side of the phone. He for a fact knew that Kabir must have been worried on hearing that but as much as he wanted to calm down by assurances, he also knew this is the perfect reason he and Malvika had been discussing from last few days.
So holding the phone back, he said.
"Haan Kabir...!!!"
"Khalid...kia howa Ananya ko??...wo theek..." But he was cut straight away by Khalid.
"Ah...I am sorry Kabir but hum apni discussion baad main continue karain gay...Right now, I have to leave ok...Take care...Bye"
And the call was cut.
"Khalid...Hello...Khalid..." Frustration took on Kabir as he saw his mobile and found the call has been ended.
Quickly pressing the Recent calls tab, he located Khalid number and dialled back only to see no one picking it up.
"Damn it, Khalid"
On the other side, Khalid looked down at his phone which was constantly ringing with a smirk. He knew, Kabir must be pulling out his hairs in frustration but that's what he wanted.
"I am sorry Kabir...As much as I like you...Main apnay channel ki aik kabil reporter ko bhi nahi kho sakta...just cause of love...Tumhain wapis aana hoga"
And grabbing his ringing mobile, slipping that into his coat pocket, Khalid left his cabin to meet his channel's one and only Stupid Reporter.
This time, he is going to support his Bahu rather than his Ladla Beta.
