Chapter 11
As they both walked out of the station, jodha's mood wasn't too good after she spoke to adham. She couldn't control her anger especially after when adham spoke about her husband.
She would've remained quiet if adham kept saying stuff to her, but it was jalal who adham was rudely talking about.
She was fuming in anger, breathing very heavily and whispered in anger;
"Hummein jo bol diya hota, so bol diya hota. Lekin hummare hi pati ko woh bhi hummare hi samne.."
[I wouldn't have cared if you said stuff to me, but to my husband, that too in front of me...]
"Arugh!! I want to kill you adham, for what you did to me and said to my husband" she added.
Jalal heard what she said and noticed how angry she was, he noticed the way she was breathing.
He quickly put his arms around her shoulders and said,
"Jodha, calm down baby"
Jodha who was angry, looked up onto her left and saw jalal who was trying to calm her down. She cupped his face and said,
"I am sorry jalal with whatever.."
jalal cut her in between and takes her hands in his hands.
He put her hands on his chest and puts his hands on her waist bringing her more closer. As she came closer to him, he says,
"What ever happened, adham said. Not you, I don't get why you would say sorry for that"
She looks deep in his eyes and replies him saying,
"If he wasn't locked up, I could've murdered him for picking a finger on my husba.."
Before jodha could finish off her sentence again, Jalal stopped her from talking and said;
"Chale? Bhoonk lagi hai"
[Lets go? I'm hungry]
Jodha then realized that he hasn't ate anythin since last night, she sighed.
"Jalal I told you to eat. Now let's go, I've made breakfast at home. I just need to warm it up and give it to you"
Jalal looks at her very lovingly, kissed her fingers and replies back,
"No my jaan, I would want to take you out somewhere today"
Jodha who was looking down, looks back up at him and gives a confused expression.
"What?" She asked.
"Where are we going jalal?" She added.
"Why didn't you tell me before, I would've dressed up properly"
Hearing her non-stop asking questions, jalal says,
"Take a break jodha, take a break!!"
"I only thought of this now, and who cares, you're looking beautiful and fine anyway, there is nothing wrong in this, there are other Indians that walks and goes out on streets in Indian clothes too, and you're in a saree, you're in a simple saree but you're looking heavenly beautiful. Let's go?" He asked.
Jodha was really not in the mood of going anywhere.. But seeing her husbands mood, she didn't want to disappoint him. She agreed and said;
"Chaliye"
[Lets go]
Jalal then puts his right hand around her shoulders touching her right shoulder and his left hand touching her left side shoulder, slowly walking her towards the car.
Suddenly jalals iPhone starts ringing. He looks down at his pocket and ignores it. Jodha looks at him confusingly thinking why isn't he answering it. Soon the phone stopped ringing.
Once jalal settled jodha safely in the front passenger seat, he closed the door and stood right there looking at the missed call he got.
He was uncomfortable with the missed call he got.
This wasn't unnoticed by jodha, she thought she would ask him once he is back in the car.
He quickly goes around and sits inside the car. Jalal then puts his phone on charge, leaving his phone on the navigation stand.
Jodha: jalal who called?
Jalal: no one jodha, you sit back and relax babe
Suddenly jalals phone starts ringing again and jalal and jodha both looked up at the phone which was on the navigation stand, right on the side of the front glass.
Jodha slowly whispered "jalall" when she read the name of the person who was calling him. She lost her breath. Her breath was stuck in her throat when she read that name.
She looked at her husband very innocently after reading the name of the person trying to call jalal. He looked at his wife and didn't say a word.
Jodha: jalal.. what are you waiting for, answer the call...
"No jodha, I am not answering"
"Answer the call jalal...Please.."
The phone once again stopped ringing.
Jalal let out a deep breath as it stopped ringing.
Jalal pulled the car out and started to drive off while jodha was lost in thoughts..
Jodha's Thoughts:
*my god. I am so scared, I wonder why she was calling.. was she calling for..? no jodha, why would she?! she wouldn't give a crap about it. she hates me anyways.. but why would she call..*
Jodha lost in thoughts, wasn't unnoticed by jalal. He gets annoyed and says;
"Stop stressing your pea size brain baby, what are you thinking about?"
"Jalal, why was she calling for? I mean, it's strange... She hates.."
"Jodha, I know. And I have no idea why she was calling.. I am not going to call back and ask about it anyway. Leave it babe, let's enjoy our time" says jalal cutting jodha in between.
*Beep Beep, Beep Beep* beeped jalals phone.
They both looked up at the phone and it was a text message from her...
Jalal pulled the car at the side of the road and checked the text message he just received.
"Why aren't you answering my call for?
I am at your house waiting for you outside."
Jodha was waiting patiently for jalals response. But she notices his facial expressions that changed. He was frowned, unhappy with the text he just got.
Jodha couldn't wait any longer for jalal to speak up.
"What did she say?"
Jalal looks up at jodha saying,
"She's outside our house, waiting for us"
"Then what are we doing here, let's go home"
Jalal had no choice but to agree. He was pissed off that his plan was cancelled to take jodha out today, though jodha felt bad as she noticed that jalal was pissed off with the sudden cancellation with his plan.
He took a U turn and started driving towards home. All the way he was driving, there was only silence between jodha and jalal. Only they could hear the sound of their own heartbeats beating fast. They both were in deep thinking... Jodha was stressing out while jalal was driving with a deep thought..
20 minutes later..
Jalal and jodha were a minute away from home. Jodha's heartbeat was running extremely fast. She was scared thinking what will happen.. Not even a minute passed and they reached home. Jalal parked his car in front of the house, on the side of the loan as there already is a car parked on their drive way.
Jodha's heart skipped a beat where jalal was in full confident to face up whatever he has to face in a while. Jodha helped herself and got off the car.
They both walked towards their house, when they see a lady's back facing them. jodha looked at jalal with a worried face, where jalal just warmly blinked at her, assuring her that nothing will happen...
