"One Who Never Gives Up, He Is One Of Those" Parth Samthaan
- Writer's Spice

"It was not that he was alone... Its was not that he had no friend.. It was not that he was not living. It was just that there was so much darkness inside him, just a little star was enough to enlighten his soul and touch it like no one did."... Manik Malhotra
Once upon a time there was a Monster Manik, a lost soul who was all alone, engulfed in darkness of his own. He was a broken heart whose anger was a facade to hide his pain. He was an innocent child, for whom love was nothing more than just a word. He was the Monster manik who was waiting for just one star to shine in his world.
The Manik Malhotra, for sure is very beautifully written and well crafted character of television. This flawed character have achieved new heights of glory, with outstanding acting skills of an actor who shined in every frame of story.
If expression is form of language than he be one fine linguist, As acting is form of art than he is one who is ARTIST. When the fine line between actor & character dissolve, that's when an artist evolve. So if Manik Malhotra was the character it was Parth Samthaan, the face living it. A Master of the language he is, that all his expressions flows flawlessly smoothly through his each and every performance. Every little nuisance, every strong emotion that Manik went through, for audience it was true, not because an actor was performing it, but because an artist was living it.
Sometime even lifetime is not enough and sometime just a moment is enough for entire lifetime. The moment that started the story of epic Manan, was when monster was slayed by unconditional care of someone. One of most impactful moment till date for me is after storeroom sequence, where Manik turned around to see Alya, but his eyes were rather fixated on innocent Nandini instead. Parth really nailed this scene with that intense portrayal of Manik where his eyes said it all, this is the moment where something is shifted in in Manik's heart for forever.
If expression is the language in which he speak, then anger is one expression where he rarely goes weak. A punch from Dhruv to Manik was the moment, where he created first imprint of his strong emotive capability. The anger shown through his eyes within few seconds, due to mistrust from his buddy was so well portrayed by him. The intensity with which he express that extreme rage is enough to send shivers through your spine, a monster come alive in front of your eyes.
Anger is not a single emotion, rather its expression of different set of emotions sometime frustration, sometime pain, and sometime rage. One such track where he showed all shades of anger with ultimate finesse was during Nandini Kidnapping. The anger engulfed in pain and desperation was so well depicted by him. Each and every nuisance of anger was so well captured by his acting, where his expression flowed from his desperation to pain for Nandini, to ultimate rage against Pandit, with ease.
Words are finite, his acting skills are infinite, and so are shades of this impeccable character and the actor. His work is his voice, with which he speaks; Silence is the weapon against criticism he seeks; Hard work is key to success he definitely knows; One who never gives up, He is One of those.
