arch, is it only me, did no one else wonder why the heck he got that jacket to cover her? She was perfectly 'decent', so it just felt really . . . I don't know, like a put-down. Again that tinge of paternalistic superiority--not so marked, but there. He acts indulgent and amused, which is also a kind of infantalizing. I wasn't expecting much anyway, going by cvs' record, but this guy even exceeds our non-expectations.
Of course it's confusing--he loves her, but not in That way. He's attracted now and then, but that just disappears into nothing. Who can buy this kind of love and marriage? I'm saying it again. Their behaviour only makes sense in one situation--that they are actually no longer virgins. In that case, the lack of discussion/dialogue regarding a very important aspect of their lives is quite understandable, and so are their interactions.Or, as Sandi's spoiler says, he's gay and still loves and wants Suhani with him, which would be monumentally selfish. (I know that's not it--but we're trying to find reasons.)
And what about Suhani? Why is she content with this? Where is the girl who felt more than platonic love for him? What does their love even mean? She pulls this kind of stunt only when she has Gauri's mask-haran as an ulterior motive? Why doesn't she seduce him otherwise? Oh but--he'd just laugh or tell her not to try such things, they don't suit her or something. So even when Su irritates me, I can quite excuse her.
And too right--actual intimacy between #BuddiesForever seems unimaginable. You were so right, du. Poor Sahil and Rajshri--remember their excitement at engagement time? And this is what they get to do. Sad.
