After years she was feeling Calm and Peaceful..but She does not want to admit that this serenity is present because She was able to see Raman after ages..thinking about Raman She started drifting towards past..how relationships changed drastically! How trust turned into betrayal! How she lost her love to the destiny!

Ishita Iyer and Raman Bhalla were kids of Vishwanathan Iyer and Omprakash Bhalla.Their Fathers were College days friends.Mr Iyer was a proud father of two disciplined daughters - Vandita and Ishita whereas Raman was single child of Mr. and Mrs. Bhalla.Mr. Iyer was a simple man having great values and principles.Which passed on to his both daughters.Mr.Bhalla was always keen of earning money by any means,therefore He preferred doing Business over Govt. Job..but Mr. Iyer took Govt Job opportunity readily and shifted to Chennai due to transfer.They both were in touch through letters and occasion visits to each other houses.Years late,when Ishita grabbed Medical Scholarship in Delhi's Top University.Mr Iyer couldnt oppose his daughter's decision to study in Delhi. Ishita was closest to his heart and therefore he consulted his only friend about PG system or Hostels of Delhi of Delhi. Mr.Bhalla was in no mood to let Ishita live in a PG due to his conservative nature so He decided to keep Ishita with them at their house. Now, Mr. Iyer was relieved from his biggest tension.Bhallas were getting richer day by day because of some Illegal and Speculative businesses done by Mr. Bhalla which is unknown to his Son Raman and his wife Toshi Bhalla. When Ishita entered Bhalla Mansion,this is first time She met Raman..who was looking her in awe. Raman was in same college where Ishita got Scholarship but in Commerce Wing. He had never seen any girl devoid of makeup , in loose top - Caprie and sport shoes...but still looking so beautiful than others.Mrs.Bhalla directed her towards her room which was not less than a dream room for her.She was living in a 2BHK apartment in Chennai where She and Vandita used to share a room which was small and messy but the room she got here to live for 3 years is completely opposite of her previous room. Now She was dreaming that One day when She'll become a Doctor ,She would buy a similar house for her Appa. Her trance was broken by Mr Bhalla who was assigning Raman to take care of Ishita..'Babloo Ishita ko kuch bhi na samjh aaye ya usko kisi bhi chiz ki zarurat ho..you have to take care! Okay?' Ishita thought that the Servant who just came in to drop her luggage is Babloo, She said to him 'Babloo Bhaiya aap pls muje ek glass paani denge?' Listening to her Mr. Bhalla started laughing and told her'Beta..babloo Raman ka ghar ka naam hai' You know Pet name! Iska Pet name Babloo hai..Wo jo paani lene gya hai Wo Rakesh hai! '
Papa its not Pet name..its nick name' Raman was embarrassed watching his clothes torn off my the new guest. As Mr.Bhalla left the room..Ishita who was unable to control her laugh anymore...asked Raman 'Seriously? Babloo?? And explode into laughing endlessly...'Madrassan' He muttered staring her..which was heard by Ishita and she stares him back.
She was unpacking her bags when Raman came with snacks and soft drinks to get her indulge into talking...He was being a perfect Host and started telling her about College infrastructure.. Professors..his friends..his girl friends...he looked towards her and there she was sleeping in a compromise position on the couch. 'She finds me that Boring??? She finds RKB Boring??? College me Ladkiyan picha nahi chhordti ki Raman pllsss say something naa' (he mimicked his class fellows)'aur ek yeh hai...jisko mero baaton se zyada sone ki padi hai' 'but may be she is just tired' he made Ishita to sleep comfortably on couch and blanketed her and left for his room. Raman never knew how comforting is 'having a sibling or friend living in same house' until Ishita started living with them.
Days and months passed.. At Bhalla's Toshiji was no less than Amma to her..She was polite, humble,loving and friendly towards Ishita..never made her realise that this is not her house and at College..They formed a huge group of best of pals 'Mihika-Mihir-Raman-Ishita' (they all met in Drama fest of the college) and 'Shagun' who was mostly unwanted by each remaining person in the group but since Shagun's father and Mr Bhalla were business partners..Raman has to carry her as a burden with them. Mihir and Mihika used to make lot of fun of him for tolerating a fevicol and Ishita used to giggle understanding Raman's plight, she can fight with him, tease him all day but not on this matter...She knows how irritating Shagun is! Raman and Ishita were talk of the town because of their strong bond which all claimed is LOVE but they both took those rumours as a part of teasing...except one who was Shagun, who believed that Ishita and Raman are attracted towards each other and She always tried her best to separate them during Breaks, Picnics but failed each time.
Once a Romantic Jack and Josephine Play was organizing by their Drama club..Each Student has to give their Auditions for the upcoming drama... The selector named Abhimanyu Raghav was a Young Actor and Alumni of their College..He finalised Ishita for Josephine after watching her audition, the calmness and innocence of her face made Abhimanyu to choose Ishita considering all this as a Character's Demand. Raman was absent at the day of Audition because of Shagun (who was not a part of Drama Club) she took him with her for filling a beauty contest application form.Later Raman got to know that its Ishita who will be the Josephine..and he was cursing Shagun for not letting him attend and give audition for the role of Romeo.
'Yaar Jack ke Role k liye Ab de sakte hai kya audition' Raman asked Mihir running behind him.
'Nahi..Par chhord na..Big deal Next year jo play hoga tab de dena audition.. Tab tak let's work at backstage' Mihir winked at him.
'Par tab Josephine Ishita nahi hui toh kya fayda' Raman's tongue slipped making Mihir watch him curiously.
'Aree i mean..you know na Meri aur Ishita ki chemistry.. Humse acha koi saath me ACT(stressing on the word act) nahi kar paega' 'thats what am trying to say..' Raman mumbled.
'Ishita ke sath Jack koi bhi ban jaega' Mihir and Raman heard the sentence from their back.
'Excuse me? Raman asked.
'I mean Ishita acts Josephine so well..i have seen her in rehearsals.. That now am thinking to do Jack myself' Abhimanyu Raghav made a flirty face and left..making Raman dumbfound.
'..teri toh...iski himmat kese hui..What does he meant' Raman was about to reach for Abhimanya when Mihir stopped him 'Selector cum Alumni cum Actor hai yeh.. Panga mat le.. Drama club ka head hai..koi baat ho gyi toh they will choose him over you..so better hai jaane de' and Raman left fuming.
Drama Preparations were going on full swing.. Ishita got super busy in Dialogues and their Execution and Mihir-Mihika got back stage responsibilities..and Raman ..since nothing left for him..he always took audience seat and proudly watches Ishita doing rehearsals.
One day before the Play..He was going through Ishita's script when He read at last 'and Jack and Josephine kissed and shown dead' He was already having enough of Ishita and Abhimanyu's closeness which was discussed by all Members of the Club that How they look made for each other during Rehearsals. He cant take those words as a symbol of an ending but took it as that Ishita and Abhimanyu will kiss in real. His Possessiveness was transforming into jealousy and jealousy was turning into anger at that moment.
Before the play Raman barged into Abhimanyu's vanity and held his collar in his hands our of anger and frustration.
'Hey Mann.. What are you doing?' Abhimanyu said
'What do you think? Play ke naam pr MERI Ishita k sath kuch bhi karoge and i will see as a spectator? Raman shouted.
'Wait wait wait! Meri Ishita?? Umm...You are Raman'? Abhimanyu askes smilingly.
'Yes i am! And Dont u dare you show me those teeths of your's...You better know ek Actor ke liye uska face kitna important hota hai' Raman warned him.
'Ofcourse i know! And Ishita is your's dude...Fikar not! Its just a play' Abhimanyu ensured him.
'Its better if this is so' Raman left his collar and about to leave when Abhimanyu gripped his shoulder.
'You love her? Dont you?' Abhimanyu asked with his famous flirty looks.
'Thats NOYB' Raman informed him.
'Well! I was about to tell you what Ishita always talks about you...how she eats my head ranting about Raman this Raman that'
Now its Raman's turn to stare Abhimanyu.
'and??' Raman said looking all excited.
'First you tell me that you love her or not?'
'I do..from the bottom of my Heart' now will you speak ...plsss' He was all polite while uttering those words.
'I think she loves you too' 'All day she talks about one person who is you' 'and i can read facial expressions very well..she is not in love with u then no one can ever be in love with you' Abhimanyu explained him.
Raman was speechless for the moment..and Abhimanyu thought to help him.
'Batana hai Ishita ko that u love her??' Abhi asked
'Sab kaam tu hi kar le.. Kiss bhi tu karega... Kabootar bhi banja tu..sandesh pahuchane wala'
'Hahahahaha OMG! You really thought i will kiss Ishita in real?? Bhai Jack and Josephine will be SHOWN kissing ..our position in darkness will be that and it will look like a kiss'Abhimanyu was having a fun time in his vanity.
'Aur meri toh girlfriend bhi aaegi play dekhne.. Ghar ujadwaega tu mera!' He said couldnt stopping himself laughing like mad.
'Ohh!! Achaa...Umm..ohkay ohkay' Raman was embarrassed.
'See..kuch socha h maine tum dono ke liye...since you look like me in physique.. So esa kar sakte hain ki end part mein when light would go off...u can be there at my place being the Jack..' Abhi said winking
'And do what' Raman was confused.
'You dont have to say anything as Jack..because there are no dialogues..thats why am giving you my role for these minutes..all u have to do is to stand extremely close to Josephine or Ishita..that it would look like a kiss..and then you have to make Josephine or Ishita lie upon you' and curtains will fall..Bas itna hi.. I would take all artists and crew from back stage.. And u can have a perfect moment to confess..since we always wanted that Ending to leave a great impact on audience.. I think tum meri jagah honge toh it would be more real.. If you know what i mean! Abhimanyu smirked.
'Really?? Yeh ho sakta hai! Dude you're great ! Thanks a lot...tumne itna socha mere liye Raman was amusing that what he thought of Abhi and what he actually is.
'Ishita is a friend yr! I was already looking for you to talk but then i was not sure that this love is two sided or not' 'but now am glad..you both will rock together'

Ishita was ready as leading lady of the Play..with oversize gown having puffed sleeves and bun over her head and minimal makeup on her face. Everyone was drooling of her looks but one person she was searching for was Raman.Raman was preparing himself for confessing..Abhi had made him realize his feelings for Ishita and he now dont want them to know as "just friends" title!Couldnt able to find Raman..Ishita calmed her self and went to stage to perform..during the whole play her eyes were searching Raman in audience...Josephine was getting out of her now...she was Damn worried for Raman.As the End part is about to play...Abhimanyu called Ishita and said
'Ishita..As you know lights will go off... Whatever happen at that time...u getting? WHATEVER happens ...you wont shout ohkay?
'Why would i shout?' Ishita who was already worried for Raman was now confused.
'Ohkay bye..we have to rush from both ends of the stage' 'Go to your end' Abhimanyu said and ran towards different direction.
Lights were dim... Shadows of two person was visible to audience.. A slow music was playing in Background.. Josephine (Ishita) was coming to the middle of the stage and Jack (Raman) too. Ishita was deeply hurt by Raman's non presence in her whole play..She was all looking down and tears were flowing through her eyes when Jack held his Chin.. In her dreams she cant even imagine that Raman can be in front of him..Her eyes were closed...and She was praying for Raman's well being. 'Be in character Ishu' Ishita was reminding herself but was not able to control her emotions. She was shocked would be an underestimate when the person in front of her traced her lower lip with a tongue. She opened her eyes furiously and found Raman. Her Body which was stiffening earlier, calmed down and Raman took her lower lip in his mouth. She was not letting him enter further due to presence of so many people at the hall, to divert her attention he pinched her waist...which made her to yelp and open her mouth and that opportunity was grabbed by Raman. He took her into soul stirring kiss and break apart before so she wont feel breathless on stage. She tried to question him again but before that he made him self laid down and simultaneously taking Ishita on him...They heard people clapping ...and Curtains falling!
She opened her mouth to ask him something and He again kissed her back shushing her...saying 'I love you Josephine' in between of the kiss. She blushed crimson and tried to getup but ending back on him..'your turn' he said on her chin.
Whatt? She pretended to ignore.
'Dont be shy now...what people do after confessing ..we have already done that..now do the formality part' He winked.
'But i dont think i love you' Ishita tried to irritate him 'BTW who said to you that i can be in love with someone who has a pathetic PET NAME ?'
'I think you should stop pretending Madrassan coz your Blush rests your case here only' He said smugly and Ishita couldnt deny anymore and hugged him 'I love you soo much My Jack'

She was teary eyed remembering that Golden period of her life not realizing Raman is noticing her.
'We need to talk' Raman said unable to see her in tears.
She watched him in despair 'And whats left to talk?'
'Everything' 'I want us to confess everything' He said somberly
'Your confessions! I know' she chuckled and blushed making him grin widely.
'Dad is on death bed' He said expressionlessly.
'OMG!Whattt???' Ishita was horrified.
'Cancer and guilt eating him up' There were still no expressions on his face.
'Guilt kis baat ka?'
'Of What he done to us!'
She was numb knowing that Raman knows that it was his Father who made her to leave Delhi.
'What?? Tum ko laga tha ki muje pata nahi chalega that Dad insulted you and Appa?
Mr. Arora (Shagun's Father) gave Mr. Bhalla an offer of 5 Crores Deal and whole business in name of Raman, if he can make Shagun and Raman marry.Mr. Bhalla who was always been greedy for money..excepted the offer casually thinking its not a tough task to make Raman ready to marry Shagun..and signed the contract papers...He further approached Raman to marry Shagun without disclosing him the deal between Mr. Arora and him.Raman clearly told him that he loves Ishita ,Shagun and He cant marry at any cost. Mr. Bhalla took Ishita's love for Raman as selfish move of a Middle class girl to trap a Rich boy. He called Mr. Iyer in front of Ishita when Raman was not present at home and insulted him and his daughter verbally...after insuling Mr. Iyer on phone he put the receiver down and asked Ishita to leave immediately. She wanted to meet raman once but Mr. bhalla didnt let her. Toshiji want to stop Ishita but she was not able to raise her voice on this matter watching anger of her husband. Ishita has to left after such abuses she received and now she was worried what her Appa would be going through.
'He wanted you to marry Shagun..and he was not wrong as a father..' 'He shouldn't be in guilt..if you want main unse baat karungi'
'That man deserves to be in guilt..(he shouted)...You didnt told me that time that he forced you to leave and neither u told me that APPA GOT HEART ATTACK AFTER HE WAS DONE WITH INSULTING HIM.
Tears started flowing like river from her eyes. she thought Raman didnt knew that Mr. Bhalla's words caused her Appa's death..neither she allowed Mihika to tell this to him.
'Appa couldnt take his best friend talking such things about his Ishu' and she broke down seating herself on her knees.He went on his knees and hugged her.
'Arora's made Dad to sign on his all property and business papers...I had no choice left but to marry shagun..tab tak muje yeh nahi pata tha ki tumhare jaane ki wajah kya hai...I was already broken and this marraige thing made me worse...i clearly told Shagun to not find love in this marriage' 'but she entered in this marriage thinking she will bring love out of me and failed miserably' he chuckled
'Then' Ishita was now getting story of other side.
'Then.. She tried her best that we can move ahead in our relationship.. Mentally..physically.. Emotionally but i just couldnt...i made myself a mess..drinking-smoking...Mumma couldnt see me like this and endup telling me, the entire truth' and 'from that day till today... Maine uss insaan se baat nahi ki..jisne Mere pyaar ka majak banaya...not even when he diagnosed cancer'
'Tumhe esa nahi karna chahiye tha'
'Muje nahi lagta Maine kuch galat kiya hai... He deserves this!'
'What about shagun?'
He laughed 'I started irritating her day by day...she was fed up of me and my behaviour and eventually asked me to divorce her' 'that was truly a dream come true moment' Ishita chuckled at his expressions.
'And ... ' she was finding difficult to ask.
Ruhi??? I adopted her Madrassan! I found her crying at dark night in heavy rain...I swear Ishita i felt like as if you are crying in that rain...Raman starting tearing up... And i brought her home with me' 'She is very Close to my heart..She calls me Dad and it feels so great to come home for her..and you know she daily asks about you' 'Once she asked me who is her Mumma and i showed her your picture' 'and you know what she said?
'What?'
'that she looks like her Mom' Raman told her.
She hugged him tightly after knowing that he was the one who was suffering too.
'I moved to Shimla after Appa left us...Amma used to cry a lot remembering Appa in that house..her psychologist adviced us to give her new atmosphere to live. Now she is fine.She said smilingly.
