Yet Again - A SAahil Fiction
Chapter 4 - Beginning is Afoot...
With the destination set in mind, he drove away from the village, with new happiness, new hope for a new beginning at their lives.
By the time he got home that they everyone were asleep, but as he approached forward towards his room, he realized that the kitchen light was still on. Curiously, he went to the kitchen instead of his room.
She stood by the stove, lost in her thought. He could tell she wasn't paying attention what she was doing as she was about burn her hand trying to pick up the hot utensil with her bare hands. Aahil rushed to her and pushed hand away just seconds before she touched the utensil.
"what in the world were you thinking? You could have burned yourself just now!" he whisper yells at her, mindful of others' sleep.
"I'm fine, why do you care?! You have your friend to be worried about leave me alone Aahil" she almost yelled irritated.
"What?!" he asked confused, yet strangely amused at the same time.
"nothing" she stated stubbornly, turning away from him to focus on her tea.
"what are you doing here, when everyone else is sleeping, ullu ho?" he asked, his voice laced with amusement.
"ha-ha very funny, hassu main?" she countered making a face at him exasperated.
"oh and I can ask you the same thing. Aap bhi toh ab tak bahar the. So Mr. Aahil...ullu ho? Yaan phir aapki payari dost ne aane nahi diya?" she taunted, throwing his own words at him.
"what is that suppose to mean?" he probed, eyeing at her suspiciously.
"what does it mean to you? Does it have to mean some thing, man kiya toh bol diya."
"are you alright" he asked concerned for her mental health, given the current circumstances and her mood swings.
"what does that have to do with anything, and for your information I am perfectly fine. Vaise...kahan the aap?" she questioned trying not to appear stalkerish.
He looked away at her inquiry, not wanting to lie to her, but at the same time not being able to tell her the truth.
"kuch nahi, voh bas ek zaroori kaam tha, bohut der se atka hua tha aaj poora ho gaya." He stated softly as if in a far away thought, as a way of explanation, not giving much away, at the same time expressing her the truth.
"Mr. Aahil, that was way too precise, care be a little vague. Batana hai toh saaf saaf batao, varna khuch mat kaho." She retorted sarcastically.
He just shook his head at her, a light smile gracing his lips, not replying to her comment, ending their conversation with his silence as he moved to the fridge to get a bottle of water for himself before leaving for his room.
The entire time she stood immobile in her place, even when he brushed past her to reach for the water bottle. She stared at him confused as he left the kitchen, offering her an askew glace and shaking his head slightly, while at the same time holding a small amused smile on his face.
The next day we were all in the dinning hall, having breakfast, when his highness graced us with his presence. What does he think of himself? she thought to herself, the guests of the house are here before him and he just woke up. Why wake up so late? Of course if he will sleep this late, this is what is going to happen! She huffed annoyed at him, more at herself for thinking so much about him, when he wasn't even bothered enough to look at her.
He left quickly after, only a few words exchanged between them, courteous at its best, leaving in a hurry. He wasn't saying much to anyone today, looked like he was needed somewhere else, she noted.
He had gone to check up on seher again, to see if there was any change in her health. He was worried, she was his responsibility now, even rehan wasn't here yet. He need her, he needed his brother to win this battle of love and hatred. Sanam needed them all together.
As soon as he entered the house, he could hear her screaming. He dashed to her room, to see the cause of her distress.
Seher was thrashing around on her bed, she was having a nightmare, he was sure of it. He rushed to her, trying to wake her up.
"nahi! Leave me please, please don't touch me. Rehan! Help me, help me please. Sanam!! Aahil!!" she repeated for the nth time trying to free herself from his hold, but he couldn't let her go, for he knew if he did let her go, she would end up falling on the floor, hurting herself more in the process. Moreover, he was aware of the fact that this dream, this nightmare was a reflection of what may have occurred with her.
"seher, seher bacha wake up, sweetheart you are ok now, no one is going to hurt you now. I promise. Please seher wakeup." He pleaded.
She had calmed down from her nightmare fit, subconsciously affected by his soothing words, relaxing her, but her breathing was still heavy and her heartbeat erratic.
He was gently caressing her hair, when she stirred again. Her forehead creased, she tried moving away from him, pulling her arm away from his hold with a substantial amount of force and turning her from one side to the other.
"sanam, san..." she whispered, her breathing starting to elevate once more.
"Seher! Wake Up!" he almost yelled at her, not being to think of anything else to do. He knew this was a start of a new nightmare, and he had to stop before it got too far.
As if his voice had hit a nerve inside her, she shot awake, looking at her surrounding wide eyes, not recognizing anything, believing that her worst nightmare had come to life of being sold off to someone to use to their pleasure. She held her face in her hands, crying bitterly, as she sat there moving back and forth, wishing death upon herself.
"Seher" he whispered softy, trying not to shock her with her current state of mind.
She thought she was starting to imagine things when she heard his voice, she looked around trying to place a face to the comforting voice of his. As soon as she spotted him sitting beside her, she wondered why she hadn't seen him before. In her haze, she had failed to notice him, did that mean she was free?
As small smiled graced her face as she launched herself at him, clinging herself to him, not believing her luck.
but where was she? Where is sanam...oh god she must be worried sick for me, and rehan, where is he?
To be Continued...
Until later, hope you all enjoyed that little dose of SAahil. This was the third part to the prequel. Very intriguing. Seher is awake!
I enjoyed the conversation between Jannat and Aahil, where she is at sniping at him and he is just completely ignoring her subtext, not giving her more the way she wants.
Can't wait to read what happens next. Where will you go from here? Update soon!
