I had started loving the character of Binti from the time she was introduced. And today I loved her more. My love was not because she stood up for herself and shouted at her mother. My love was because of the way she dealt with Chander.
Binti loves Chander. But unlike Sudha who wants to give or Pammi who wants to snatch, Binti understands the true meaning of love. It's transforming power.
Pammi allows the degradation of Chander. For her pleasure she have pre marital relation with Chander. She knows his soul belongs to Sudha, yet she is happy that he shares his body with her.
The upright Chander who Sudha had nurtured goes on falling in the pits and Pammi least care about the reputation, the talent she is allowing to waste for her carnal desire. And even getting Chander, she cant feel security, she is still insecure and doesn't want to accept the presence of Sudha in his life.
If Sudha was Amrit, Pammi is Vish. When Amrit went, Chander ends up consuming Vish pe Vish.
In comes the girl Binti. She doesn't accuse Chander. But she talks in such a way using Sudha's name so that he introspects. Binti goes on doing the duty Sudha has entrusted to her. To take care of Chander. Binti knows the place Sudha occupies in Chander's heart. And she doesn't have any intention to take that place.
To take out Vish, she uses Amrit, which in excess quantity has become Vish itself. Because she is the woman who has understood Amrit and Vish co-exist. One cannot be above other and if Amrit also become excess in quantity it becomes Vish only.
So Sudha has to remain in right element for Chander, but she cannot be an obsession because he cannot correct what happened. Binti is removing that obsession in Chander so that he becomes saner and a better person who understands life or rather grows from a boy to a man.

wow shruthi. i always luv ur posts. very well said.

removing sudha from chander's mind is a foolish thing which pammi is trying to do. bt she is so much into winning this battle that she has crossed all d boundaries n she does realize that she has won chander's body bt lost his soul. she has intentionally destroyed chander's soul.

sudha is far away n if we look from kailash's perspective she is cheating on him by giving him her body bt nt letting him in her hrt. kailash may nt be as gud as chander bt he loves sudha n takes gud care of her. bt sudha is cold towards him bcoz she is obsessed wid chander n thus ruining 3 lives. she is neither moving on herself nor letting chander also by writing those letters to him.

bt binti knows chander d best. without even chander telling her she knows everything abt him. she can read his eyes n his soul. she knows luv n lust both r imp bt excess of nythng ruins d life.

i av said it before that wen binti will enter d show we will see a whole new def of luv. whr luv is neither luv nor lust. its sumthing which can't be described in wrds. wen u luv sumone truly u knw wat will benefit them n wat will harm them. its their happiness which becomes more imp for than urs.

@sneha the problem with Sudha is, she is unable to take life for what it is. Reason being she was so much a protected girl. She got whatever she wanted. But the most important thing Sudha wanted life denied that choice to her. But Sudha unlike Pammi suffers silently because she is supposed to safeguard her reputation as well as her father's. Sudha if wanted could have refused Chander, she could have rebelled with her father. But in not doing that and also by not accepting her new life Sudha is also destroying herself and those around her. Pammi also is a woman for whom life was not fair post marriage, but she decided to cross all boundaries and try to get what she wants.
Look at Binti. I would say her biggest advantage is the fact that the girl got nothing. From the time she remembers her mother keeps on cursing her telling she is responsible for her father's death. She is called names, taunted. But the girl from childhood had silently suffered all this and has grown into a maiden who knows what to take and what to throw for survival. Because her survival till date has been on that technique only. If she has allowed her mother's curse to affect her , she wouldn't have lived this long. Binti knows life is not fair, but she also knows how to make best use of what life has given her.
Because she has made best use of life, she is in a position to give direction to others to make the best out of the choices available to you.
My view about life is simple Sneha. You cant control other's action. You can control only yours. So own your actions and any day that will give you peace of mind whether the action gave you the right result or the wrong result. If it gave right result well and good, if it gave wrong ok you understand the mistake, correct it. But either way it is your action taken by you with free will.

I agree 3 women perspectives.
But I don't agree that Binti is in love with Chander or even that she loves him.

I haven't read the book, so perhaps I don't get the nuances of love that you are all talking about.

But Binti is compassionate. She is observing the lives around her in a very compassionate way and she learns to be true to herself from observing two/ three lives who have not been true themselves.

Sudha and Chander have committed treason unto themselves-
Whether their intentions were noble or not doesn't matter: they let themselves down too too badly.

@amslucas Binti's love is very subtle. I would say it is more respect and admiration for Chander. She sees the conflicts in him and in her own try to be a balm to those conflicts. Binti does not have any intention to take Sudha's place in Chander's life.
I have also not read the book, but it is just my take on the character Binti. Binti has a type of samarpan for Chander without expecting anything from him in return.

amslucas binti's luv for chander was more like meera's luv for krishna.
she used to worship him like a god i.e. devta.

dere is a seq from d book which i woukd like to share wid u guys to explain binti's luv for chander.
so jst before binti leaves for her marriage chander has turned bitter towards women n starts behaving rudely wid binti so binti is left heart broken.
one day wen chander returns to home he was having a bad headache n binti asks him to sleep so that she can give him a head massage. bt chander gets angry n pushes binti n throws away d oil. he tells her that he is going to get mad. n binti tells him that if he will talk like dis she will not go for her marriage . he doesn't know her. she can fight wid nyone n everyone n ll never leave him even if he disrespects her.

so wat i want to say is binti was ready to sacrifice her life for chander n that cannot happen without luv. i wish they would av shown this seq in d show.
