Ishra OS : Was it necessary ?
Part 1
( Raman's POV)
He could see her on the edge of the terrace, trying to jump off. He could see her in red saree trying to stop her.
Everything, everything was getting messed up. From the start of the day he found something was amiss. As the day progressed, he found his whole world amiss, and as he saw the women carrying his and his wives child at the edge of the rooftop, he found his life was amiss.
He knew God has always been rough on him. Since the day Shagun left him to the very moment when he saw her trying to jump off - he was sure God played him really rough. It's been an eventful month for him, first the death of his own baby, then the surrogacy and again death of his beloved sister. People say two deaths in a row brings another, he didn't believe it till now, but today...
The moment when Shagun became pregnant he knew he was doing wrong by involving Shagun again to their lives, without informing Ishita. But he didn't care about it, neither he cared about what others will say when they would find out about surrogacy, he only cared about what his Ishita would say.
And today her reaction gave him the answers...All her insecurities exposed, he was somewhere deep down, happy to know that how much Ishita loved him, maybe God wasn't that selfish. He knew he would soothe her by telling the truth...But as he saw Ishita trying to stop Shagun, he knew their was no point in telling the truth now.
He could feel someone trying to drag him to the building...maybe that was the ACP he came with. He didn't care cause it was useless to try to stop Shagun. He had tried it once and had failed miserably as she had left him never to come back again. He was sure that when Shagun decides something no matter whatever happens, she would do it.
He could hear Ishita shouting , begging Shagun to stop. This women never stops amazing him, just a moment ago she was so upset with Shagun and now she was trying to save her life - such a golden heart she got. But if only her fate was as golden, then she won't have been infertile, then she won't have to mingle with his messed up life.
And...there she jumped...right out of the nine story building, she jumped.
For a moment his breathing hitched, all the moments he spent with her, their marriage, love, her betrayal and their separation flashed at one go in front of his eyes.
He ran, ran and ran only to witness her blood stained body. She was dead - no he wasn't a doctor, but he didn't needed to be one to declare her dead after watching her body.
Yes, she, the biggest curse, biggest mistake of his life was gone. He did consider her as his biggest bane only until she came back to his life again and tried to fix what meant to stay broken, their relationship.
But today as he saw her blooded stained body, there was a smile on her face, no not the usual smile of guile she always wore, but something new, something familiar...yes, the smile his Ishita have.
But how was it possible? May be while fighting with the lady, she became like her only. He couldn't believe, such a great human his madrasan was, who turned her worst enemies to her well wishers, if not best friends and he himself was one of them.
But today, he didn't cry at the death of his 3 weeks baby, neither did he feel any joy or sorrow of her death.
No, today he wasn't a judge, he decided to be a witness. He didn't try to judge Shagun's or Ishita's or his own did. Afterall he knew life isn't a court-room and we are no judge to pass verdicts.
He just looked up and hoped... no witnessed her soul going into the land of stars. No matter how vengeful she might have through her life, today he just hoped she got there fine.
He only asked God one thing "Was it really necessary ?"
As always, buddy me for PMs.
