Why Diganga's accent is worthy of ridicule but not Mandana's?

So it's ok to make fun of Diganga's English which btw isn't even as bad as people here made it out to be.
But gently poke fun at a foreigner's Hindi and lo and behold, cries of cruelty and racism abound.

If that is the case, then Indians practise the worst form of reverse racism where they ridicule fellow Indians if their English doesn't meet their exacting standards.

People were making fun of her because she wasn't comfortable in her own skin. Trying hard to portray something she isn't. They weren't making fun of her because she was mumbaiyya, or saavli. Nobody called her an outsider. That's exactly what happened with Mandana. That is racist

Actually I find Diganga very comfortable in her skin. So she's trying to get the perfect accent, whatever that may be.

Umm, same thing. I was talking about accents per se not the implied ramifications of said things on someone's soft feelings.

Diggy will remain an Asian wherever she goes. Girl need to speak English in Asian Accent as majority of Indians do.

Mandana is an Iranian. Her accent is real.
i like her Hindi too. Good Effort.

It's not about ridiculing but tbh, every time Diggy speaks English, I get offended. The difference between Mandana's accent and Diggy's accent is that Mandana is Iranian and her efforts at hindi are appreciated because she doesn't speak the language at all.
Diggy can speak English but it just sounds like she's trying too hard to not sound Indian. Mandana knows she can't speak hindi and is trying her hardest. This is the same case as Elli Avram and Lauren Gottleib where they both don't speak hindi but the effort can be appreciated. Diggy's english...well to be honest it's painful to my ears and to my friends. It's just too forced.

Edit:
I was born and raised in Canada.

Because her accent is faked, if she wants to learn a certain accent and speak that way, I'm all for it.. But her abba dabba. jabba accent sounds ridiculous. It's some accent invented and practiced by the princess only!
