Schwarzenegger to Play Baddie in Rajinikanth's Enthiran 2'?
It was Rajinikanth who introduced motion capture technology to Indian cinema via his film Kochadaiiyaan. Now, he's all set to give his fans a similar experience again with his upcoming 3D film Enthiran 2, which will also be shot in motion capture technology. The team has already started prepping for the shoot which will start early next year.
"Some important portion of the film will be shot using motion capture. It'll be a full-length 3D flick. Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson are already on board and the makers are in talks with Arnold Schwarzenegger for the antagonist's role," a source said, and added that the team will shoot the motion capture sequences in a studio in Hollywood.
The pre-production work on the project started a few months ago and Lyca International, who recently produced AR Murugadoss-directed Kaththi, will be bankrolling Shankar's Enthiran 2, and it will have music by AR Rahman. According to the source, Enthiran 3 is also on cards but adds that it's too early to comment on it.
Rajini is currently shooting for his 159th film Kabali at breakneck speed. Inspired by the life of a Chennai-based don, the 64-year-old actor plays a gangster in the film, which also features Radhika Apte as his wife.
