This discussion is abt how even younger and modern people as young as in their early 20s have cheap regressive thoughts and mentality. Akram(S1) and Amaad are such examples from Qubool Hai. They both call themselves modern but their thoughts are so primitive.
Akram of Season 1: Being a modern guy, he slapped a woman(Zoya), kidnapped her, tied her, drugged and almost married her forcibly. Initially, he sent goons after as his ego got hurt and family faced humiliation. In front of Asad, he talked like a gentleman that if she did not wanted to marry him she would have told earlier and foreign girls are like that only but in front of Zoya, he showed his true face to Zoya when he found her alone.
Amaad: He is seen as the most modern guy in the house wearing stylish clothes. But his thinking is so bad, he thinks that since his marriage is fixed with Mahira he will decide who she will talk and who she will not talk. He would have tried to rape her even if Sannu would not have given him sharbat as he said in last episode that what she did earlier she should not do again to stop him as she is now his property and everything. He thinks Mahira as his property just because he got engaged to her and according to him married her. He told Azad when he came to save Mahira that he can do with her anything as Mahira is his future wife. He kept taunting Azad that even if he force himself on Mahira it will be called as his right. He said 'haq' dialogue many times indicating Mahira as his property. This guy may be 22-23 as Azad is nearly 25 and Mahira is 25 but still he has such regressive thoughts. Azad slapped him and told him that a girl's no is no only(Rahat-Haya-Shoaib scene repeated). Azad being elder and not so modern lookwise is so good but Amaad being more modern is primitive.
We say that old people are puraane khyalaat ke and all but sometimes boys as young as in their mid-teens are very regressive while they show themselves as cool and modern.
