CHAPTER 2
There sat a girl of around 24 years with a pleasant smile over her face as she remembered the times of her school days which took her 10 years back. Suddenly she heard her name being called ' Ms sharon rai prakash you're next for the interview' said the receptionist.
She got up with confidence and smiled back at the receptionist. She walked her way to the cabin. She knocked on the door and said ' Sir may I come in?' 'Yes you ma...'
The man stopped and stared at her dumbstruck and Sharon too looked on. She looked into those dark brown orbs, they were familiar to her. The man gazed at her intently.
He could sense a sweet scent. A scent he's been with many years. Now they weren't just looking on but actually scanning each other from head to toe to find another similarity.
While observing her his glance trailed to her hand in which she had a pen. Looking at the pen he smiled away to glory
*********
'Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday dear Sharon... Happy birthday to you'
Everyone present in the Rai Prakash mansion sang the birthday song with alot of joy in their voice's. It was a special occasion, it was Sharon's 14th birthday and her parents always threw a grand party for her on this special day every year.
'Happy birthday sharon' her friend called out to her and hugged her. 'Thank you simmi' Sharon replied hugging her back with a radiating smile.'Wow! You're dress is so pretty' simmi said in excitement. 'Hmmm.. Thanks' Sharon said with a faint smile.
Sharon never believed in materialistic gifts from her parents. A few words with her every day , or having dinner together was the best gift she could think off. Her parents were entrepreneur's. Her mom run her own fashion line and her dad ruled in the iron and steel industry.
So there was very little time they could give her. Business was something Sharon never gauged , her passion lied in computers and definitely was determined in pursuing that.
'Sharon, you know what really lucky to have your birthday on 25th December. I mean That's so cool aint it?' 'Yup' Sharon replied. ' On Christmas you celebrate your birthday. So waiting for Santa Claus, eh? ' simmi burst out laughing,
Leaving Sharon look at her with an expression of shock 'like really? Santa Claus?' I'm 14 not 5! I'm a teenager for heaven sake! In the name of lord! Can you not treat me like a kid walking with a Hannah Montana bag?'
'Hey! Hannah Montana is still my favourite, pls don't discourage that for you're sense of maturity!' Simmi said with a pout.
'Awww I'm sorry sim!' And hugged her and both were now left giggling at how they crazy they can be when together. 'Sharon there's a parcel for you at the door!' Her mom called out. 'Yes mom coming!' Parcel for me? She thought!.
She collected it from the delivery guy and simmi pulled her hand and dragged her upstairs to her room, so they could privately view the 'gift'. 'Open it! I'm excited!' Simmi was high to know as to what contained in the wrapped up box. Sharon opened it with least interest.
A note flew out from it which read
A girl with a beautiful smile
Making everyone love her all this while
With a golden heart
Knowing the life art
Celebrating her birthday is the duty prime
So here's the gift for a lifetime.
From your secret Santa.
'And you tease me with Hannah Montana when you have you're own Santa Claus problems to deal with huh?' Simmi tried faking an angry glare but laughed so burst out laughing
'Simmi!' Sharon shouted but couldn't control herself so joined her friend in their laughter tour. But after a while, they got serious. And tried hard to decipher. Patterns, handwritings, smell anything would do for them to find out who it came from. Simmi gave the most brilliant deduction her friend could ask for at the moment.
'Sharon' she screeched. 'Yes' Sharon replied as though reviving back from a shock due to her scream.
'I think.. Ummm...' '
You think?'
'I think..'
' yes simmi I know you think.. But after you think?' Sharon sounded a bit irritated now.
'I'm sure about this one though'
'what are you sure about'
' I'm sure... Its a GUY'
There was silence in the room. Sharon just thanked God that the ceiling didn't crack due to the fact provided by friend.
Simmi felt a thud on her head and realized it was Sharon who hit her by the pillow. Rubbing her head she said ' ouch. That's some way of returning gratitude' dropping a tone of sarcasm.
'Simmi my dear' Sharon took in a deep breath and after leaving it out she looked at simmi smiled at her and then changed her expression as though she was going to murder someone and shouted ' Do you think I'm that dumb NOT to understand its from a guy? It would've been surprising if it wasn't a guy. I'm glad that it's at least guy. What else do you expect for me? I'm not that bad too! It's a guy was your major dissection? That was really helping'
she started clapping her hands and looked away from her friend. Simmi realised and now spoke 'ok fine, I'm sorry! But I'm no experienced one in this. It's happening for the first time in my life' her tone was low.
Sharon raised an eyebrow at 'my life' simmi chuckled and said ' ok ya, you're life! Fine!' Sharon giggled and hugged her friend who can be adorable at times by her confused nature.
They finally decided to open the gift and found out it was a pen with initials ss. Something striked sharons mind so she ran back to the note and observed secret Santa also means ss.
So its definitely a guy with a name ss she thought. She revised every guys name from her class in her mind
' rakesh... Rohit.. Abhi... Manav... Swayam... Sunith...' 'Wait' Sharon screamed ' is it really?' She tried assuring herself.
Yes it was swayam shekhawat who had brought the pen for her.
************
Sharon saw him smile at the pen and realized it was him. It was swayam.
Coming out of there revive they both shouted
'Sharon is it you?? Am I dreaming or wait I'm sure I'm not high?? But you here how??'
'Swayam?? What are you doing here??'
'Well its my company, so I rather have the right to ask?' He replied with a sweet smile. 'So you've come for the job! Please have a seat'
'Thank you sir!' Swayam was shocked to hear that from Sharon. He looked at her but she didn't give a surprising expression for her own statement. Whatever said and done.
She knew how to behave like a professional during interviews. So she just used the appropriate ethics for that moment and pulled a chair and sat down. Swayam pulled his chair and sat right opposite Sharon.
They both just kept staring at each other without saying a word.
