Epilogue
RK and Madhu lay on the roof as they both stared at the sky above. Finally feeling relaxed after months. From months they were fighting themselves even though they couldn't understand what it was. But today all those worries as if blew away now.
"Do you think Sultan and Dipali would not hate us? " Madhu asked innocently.
" I don't think so.. They seemed happy for us " RK shrugged though his attention seemed wandering.
" I hope so.. " Madhu said pursing he lips.
" hmm "RK sounded.
" you seem distracted.. " Madhu said with a frown.
"no.. You keep talking.." RK said with a smile. He didn't know how he should tell Madhu that he was actually trying to overcome his highly sensitised physical senses.
"no you tell.. What are you thinking? " Madhu said turning to him and as she did so her breath started touching RK's neck. He tried to get hold of his desires which were now going crazy. But feeling himself losing the battle RK quickly sat up in a flash.
" what happened? "Madhu asked confused.
" let's sleep in our rooms tonight.. "he said getting up.
" why? "Madhu asked getting offended.
"just listen to what I am saying.." RK said getting nervous.
"I won't..! " Madhu said stubbornly.
" please.. " RK said as his breaths had now deepened.
" are you getting aroused? "Madhu asked as a smile played on her lips and her eyes shone with excitement like a child.
RK looked at her shocked." you are so delighted about that.. ! " he exclaimed.
" of course.. I have that effect on you.. Why should I not get delighted.. " Madhu said with a giggle
"unfortunately I clearly can't say that.." RK said with a slight frown.
"no that's not true.. " Madhu said shyly.
RK looked at her innocent smile and smiled at her as she fluffed her hair with a chuckle.
" that's why I am saying.. Let's sleep in our rooms.. "he said getting up.
Madhu held his hand from behind." I know you can never do any thing that wrongs me.. " she said as she pulled him back to lay down again.
RK took in a deep breath. He knew it was useless to argue with her. He laid down beside her and looked at her with a slight smile. " why do you trust me so much? "
Madhu looked at him amused." that's like asking why did I stay alive the day I understood that I was actually abandoned by my father.. " Madhu said shrugging.
RK looked up again.."I would have killed you if you tried anything stupid ."
Madhu laughed hearing him..
"Rishu.. " she said after a few seconds of silence..
" hmm.. "
"finally we will have a family.." she said with a mixture of excitement and pain in her voice.
RK looked at her as he tried to smile but he felt too emotional thinking that himself. "we will do everything to safeguard or children.." he said.
"see your parents are so happy for you.. " she said looking at the two stars which they had always regarded as his parents. The stars seemed to shine a bit extra today.
"you know Madhu.. Why I was so protective of you when we were kids ?" he asked.
"why? "she asked.
" I always thought that you are the angel that they sent from above after my uncle left me here.. "
Madhu giggled hearing him."you were so naive,.."
"I still believe it.. " RK said with a smile as Madhu smiled back at him with slight tears in her eyes.

A week had passed by and they both now decided to compete the vows officially and unite in their bond for eternal togetherness. The sudden decisions had two reasons. All the people who mattered to them were with them and most importantly, it was getting practically impossible for them to hold back when being so close to each other day in and day out.
So finally today RK stood in the decorated lawn of the orphanage with others as he waited for Madhu. Sikky was busy in making arrangements. All the kids were excited for the sweets they would get after their RK bhaiya and Madhu Di would be done with their talking. It seemed amusement to some as they discussed about how today's talking was different from the normal days.
Even when it was uncomfortable for both of them, somehow it turned out to be Sultan who was giving RK company.
"Tough day.. Nervous? " Sultan asked trying to strike up a conversation to ease the awkwardness.
"a little.." RK said with a nervous smile.
After sometime Madhu appeared from the corridor. She wore a long white gown though it was very simple still she looked ethereal. She had a small crown like ensemble on her head that was made by some girls of the orphanage as gift. That made her look all the more like the angel RK was thinking about.
Their warden stood between them as they faced each other. All they could see was each other.
"say your vows.. " she said looking at them happily.
RK started "I promise to be with you in your good times and bad times and in your innocent ways and naughty ways. I will stay your partner in crime in whatever mischief you do but don't worry I will also smack you back on the right path if you ever go astray. I will give you all the happiness I can. And I will be fiercely loyal to you just the way you have. 16 years ago I held your hand and dragged you in my life without asking you, but today I wish to take your permission, Madhu will you allow me to hold your hand and walk the journey of life with you..? " by the time he finished the were tears and Madhu's eyes. Trishna was not behind though.
"I give you the right to hold my hand forever and drag me wherever you want the way you did 16 years back. And I promise to be with you in all your star gazing nights and all your tea thirsty mornings.. I will never let you feel lonely by always sticking around when you need me and even when you don't need me.. " she said with a slight chuckle. "I promise to give you your family.."
They looked into each others eyes for a few seconds and in those moments they did feel something growing stronger for each other. Just then all the people around stated to clap and hoot. The children joined in for the fun of it and started jumping about. They both exchanged rings amidst the claps.
"Finally they are together..! " Trishna said softly. " yeah.. " Sikky joined in.
" do you think we should also marry.? "Sikky asked confused.
" what makes you think that? " she looked at him with wide eyes.
"we are also childhood friends.. And besides all 4 of us can stay together that way.." Sikky said getting excited.
Trishna frowned at him. "that's your reason?" she said angrily.
"yeah.. "Sikky said getting confused again.
Trishna looked at him for a few seconds and then made a wailing face as she stomped her feet away while Sikky scratched his head in utter confusion.
Sultan was standing on one corner drinking juice as he watched Madhu smiling and giggling with RK. Dipali came to stand beside him as she too stared at the two sitting at one of the small round tables.
"You knew this day would come, didn't you? " she asked while still looking ahead.
"kind of.." Sultan said softly looking at his glass now. "but I always hoped otherwise.." he said now looking at Dipali and she smiled at him. Her hair falling on her face and the slight hint of tears in her eyes made her look like a beautiful painting. For a second Sultan was kind of lost.
"Did you? Expect this? "he asked after a few seconds.
"I was sure about it.. I just kept savoring those little moments.. Besides he never said or hinted at any romantic relation between us... And even if he did.. I knew that he was so full of Madhu that there was hardly any place for me.. " she said the last part looking away.
" let's try and be happy for them then.. We had seen this coming.. " Sultan sighed looking ahead.
Trishna sat on the juice counter as she gulped in apple juice in one breath and sighed looking down.
Madhu came to sit beside her pursing her lips to hold back the laughter.
" that's just plain apple juice Trish.. Don't behave as if you are drinking alcohol.. " she said sitting beside her.
"at least let me comfort myself in that assumption.." Trishna said with a frown.
"okay sorry.. But why do you want to do that.. " Madhu asked confused.
" Sikky.. "she said as her lips pouted into a cry.
"what did he do now?" Madhu asked angrily as she started looking around for Sikky to teach him a lesson.
"he said he wants to marry me " Trishna whispered.
" what!! " Madhu exclaimed not believing that Sikky could have decided that on his own.
"yes.." she nodded her head
"but you don't want to? Then don't.. He won't force you for anything " Madhu said holding her hand sympathetic.
" I want to.. I love him.. " Trishna said getting offended.
"then what is the problem?!" Madhu asked surprised.
"he wants to marry because you and RK married and he thinks that way all four of us can stay together.. " Trishna said with a sigh.
" uhh so? " Madhu asked confused.
" come on Madhu he doesn't love me.. He just wants to marry so we can stay together and we are childhood friends and because you both married... " she exclaimed pointing at RK and her as he approached them.
"so what Trish?" Madhu said softly holding her shoulder.
"even me and Rishu aren't sure if we love each other or its something else.. What matters is that he wants to be with you all his life.. He wants us as his family and he is trying to search ways to keep his family intact.. Maybe that's his love.. " she said.
" Madhu is right Trish.. And you know him very well.. It's just his way.. He doesn't know how to express.. " RK added.
"do you both think I don't know that.. Of course I understand his fear of losing any one of us very well.. It's his world and he will do anything to keep it intact.. And I know that he kind of loves me too but I am crying for my fate.. That man won't ever realise that it's love.. " she said sympathising with herself while Madhu giggled hearing her.
"don't go ahead with it if you don't feel like.." RK said with a naughty chuckle teasing her..
"are you crazy.. Sikky can't associate with new people easily and you think he can find a girl for himself.. It's apt that I marry him. He can hardly talk to other girls.. "she said confidently. Just then they heard a giggle and they turned around only to find Sikky standing with a girl as she giggled at one of his antics.
Their jaws dropped seeing the sight.
"enough! I will marry that man today itself.." Trishna said angrily as she stomped her feet towards Sikky. She entwined her arms around his arm as she gave a sarcastic smile to the girl in front.
"I want to talk to my boyfriend in private.. Would you mind if I excuse ourselves.. "she said as she pulled him away.
" boyfriend? Who is your boyfriend? " Sikky asked with a frown not liking the idea of Trishna having a boyfriend.
"you are my boyfriend, you dumbo.." Trishna said angrily.
"oh.. " he heaved a sigh of relief that she isn't planning on going elsewhere.
"hey.. You didn't tell me that!" Sikky asked with a frown.
"my fate!! " she cursed looking up at the sky..
RK and Madhu laughed looking at the two as they turned to each other while still laughing.

RK was now waiting for Madhu at the roof. They couldn't think of a better place to start the new chapter of their life. After sometime Madhu came through the door. She was surprised to see the roof decorated beautifully. She could never have thought this place to look so beautiful and different. There was a very comfortable mattress placed where they usually slept and it was surrounded by small curtains. Though it was open from above so as to have an uninterrupted view of the sky. There were jasmine flowers all around and their scent was mesmerising them.
"you did this? " she asked RK with a smile.
"yeah.. Who else..?" he shrugged with smile.
They both laid down on the mattress as they looked ahead. Madhu had her head placed on RK 's arm.
"I couldn't have thought of my life any differently.. " RK said thoughtfully after a while of silence.
"Even me.." she replied.
"how did we think of going else where.. Being with someone else.. " RK said with a slight laugh.
"right.. Tonight I am feeling so relaxed and so complete.." Madhu said snuggling closer to him.
After some time of silence RK tried to turn towards her. He was finally not able to hold himself back anymore. As soon as he tried to kiss her, he found Madhu was already asleep.
"Madhu we had to.. Come on.. You can't do that.. " he exclaimed.
"Yeaah" she said in a half asleep tone as she didnt hear what he said and then she slept away.
"Madhu.." Rishabh looked at her. "Arghhh she always has to sleep midway..." he snorted as he hit his elbow on her arm in frustration.
"Dont disturb Rishu!" Madhu shouted in her sleep.
Rishabh laughed as he too straightened his head and went off to sleep.

6 years later
RK woke up as he scratched his head. Not finding Madhu by his side he went on search of her and finally found her sitting in the office of the orphanage. After the wardens death, she handed over the responsibility of the orphanage on them.
"Madhu.. " he said in his usual tone from the door with half closed eyes .
"yeah I will get it. Just wait for 10 minutes please.." she said while focusing on her work.
RK saw the wrinkled bridge of her nose and came forward to kiss her head. As soon as he kissed her Madhu's wrinkles were replaced by a bright smile. RK smiled satisfied seeing her.
Just then they heard a voice from the door.
"Mumma... " came Srushti's voice. Exactly the same tone as RK 's.
"oh my baby woke up.." she said looking up. "Mumma has prepared chocolate shake for you.." she said getting up.
RK held her hand from behind. She turned around only to see him frowning profusely.
"what? " she asked softy.
"when I came, you asked me to wait and when she came you stood up right away.." he complained
"you know her tantrums na Rishu.. Once she starts crying.. " madhu said helplessly.
"so even I should start throwing tantrums.." he said with a smirk.
"no..! "madhu exclaimed dreaded. "I will listen to you.. Now leave my hand or she will start crying."
"no.. " RK said tightening his hold on her..
"ouch," Madhu sounded.
"leave mumma! " Srushti shouted in her little anger with a sweet frown on her face. "you can't hurt her when I am here!"
"mumma 's little warrior.. You come here.. I will see you.. " RK said running towards her while she ran away laughing. Madhu smiled seeing the two of them.
She went to the kitchen with the smile still persisting. Trishna was already there preparing tea.
"Good morning Trish" Madhu said with a smile.
"it might be good for you.. " she said with a frown.
" what? Did they fight again..? " she asked surprised.
" they fight all the time! " she exclaimed.
"what is the reason now ?" she asked with a laugh shaking her head.
"me! " Trishna replied exasperated. "Sikky wants me to get his tea first and Arjun wants his milk first.. And they won't even let me decide it.. They are fighting among themselves..!" she said exasperated.
Madhu thanked in her heart that RK at least knows where to draw the line in that argument.
"Trish I am telling you.. This time you have to bring tea first.. " sikky said as he came in the kitchen.
" Trish.. I want milk..! " Arjun said with a frown matching his father's.
"milk or chocolate shake?" Madhu looked at him through the corner of her eyes.
"Trish is making chocolate shake? " sikky asked with a frown that she had already decided to make him lose.
" no.. I am making it.. " Madhu said quickly and sikky heaved a sigh of relief that Trish hadn't betrayed him.
" I want chocolate shake.. " Arjun declared and then walked off satisfied
"Sometimes I am forced to believe that he is more mature than you.." Trishna looked at him with a frown.
"I do believe that.. " madhu said pursing her lips.
" that's not true! " sikky said exasperated.
" you are only strengthening my belief.. " madhu said teasingly.
" I will show you that you are wrong" sikky said with a frown.
"and he will go and fight with Arjun within the next five minutes.. " Trishna said shaking her head disappointed.
After sometime madhu and Trishna went to the lawn with breakfast.
RK was playing with Arjun while Sikky had Srushti sitting on his lap as he straightened her hair.
"I will drink from Sikander's hands" Srushti declared. Sikky had made her call him Sikander as it made him sound like a hero.
"I will drink my own milk because I am a big boy " Arjun declared happily as he took his glass. He looked at RK who gave him a thumbs up and an appreciating look.
"you are his ideal.." Trishna said laughing while shaking her head. RK and madhu smiled.
"Sikky behaves so responsible when with Srushti .. " madhu said shaking her head as she saw sikky carefully making Srushti drink the milk.

The four of them lived in the orphanage. Sikky was not insecure anymore. Though they had given birth to one child each but they were parents to nearly 20 kids. They could never discriminate between those kids and their own kids. RK always felt that even though he loved Srushti but he could thank fully not relate to her as much as he could with these kids.
the four of them were sitting on the tea table in the garden seeing all the kids including their own playing.
"I had always wanted a family.. A small place to call home.. " Madhu said looking ahead." I am so glad that God gave me such a large one instead.. " she said with a slight happy tear in her eye as all of them smiled in approval
