Kanak tells Dashrant that she went to Ashram apologized to widows, Vip at first than last minute he changed his mind.. Dashrant challenges her motherhood, she lacks trust in her own abilitie,he scoffs at her being a mother who can't even bring back her son home.. he rubs it in if she can't be trusted to do this how can she be expected to carry out other duties.. Dashrant even calls her a liar.. he thinks she probably never went to the Ashram. she's lying to him deceiving him, so she can win his trust again. Kanak defends her self ,fairly distraught.. why would she lie she did go , he can check with Viplav and the widows. she had said to Viplav , she won't leave with him will stay with him..but he said he has to fight their case and collect his fees.. he swore he'll return.. but sent me away. believe me babu ji she pleads ,but he had enough! not interested he thought his viplav would return ,he had great hopes from kanak but you dashed them all! Kanak stands alone her pride bruised as she is rejected by Dashrant. she is at a point where even the truth she speaks is considered a lie..
Viplav.. gives the widows a ripple of joy. see in this scene how he celebrates a smile a laugh totally.. one smiles and the rest follow, Viplav is found sleeping in the courtyard.. widows stand around him gaze down at.. he yawn finds them all staring down at him he asks, whats up what's happened? Suvarna tells him Dhani told them what happened that you returned and he replies didnt you believe her that you've all gathered here to frighten me? he sits up and says, maa ji what did you think that I'll leave so easily? tell me did you ever try to smile with all your heart? Inderani asks put of what do you mean and he replies I meant can you smile at all? and if you can, then show me he says , with a sweet smile. a little? He urges and she forces a wee smile.. and he takes a snap on his smart phone and goes.. ahhh! now let me show ,here take a look! she looks and he comments doesn't it seem some one's put a gun to your temple and ordered you to smile or you are constipated ?she frowns.. and then looks at the others. Raj laxmi and co giggle! Viplav bites his tongue ..then goes come let's take another one, this time make sure you smile with all your heart..she goes , look that's enough but he cajoles her ,please maaji.. then he goes 123! and inderani smiles and Sita maa gives a thumbs up!and all giggle and smile.. then encouraged he invites others for a snap the young ones pose readily, Dulari declines.. he snaps one with the young girls and then one with the oldies.. and Dhani stands to one side looking down.. and then he sits on the bed with the young and old widows looking over his shoulder as he shows them the snaps.. Dhani gives them a sided glare at them.and she says is that rakhsas showing my photo and laughing at it she goes grabs it and sees bugs bunny and he cackles at her reaction as she looks and chucks the phone across the bed where he sits,.. then she goes and sits rolling wicks in her palms and he gets up and goes towards us. stretches his arms sides ways his and sits on the end of the bed she sits on.. then he pulls his leg up on the bed turns and asks ,why do look so flustered? and why did you the phone at me?she ignores him and calls out Suvarna.. come we have to get to the mandir and gets off the bed and she picks up the basket and he asks her sarcastically.. say a prayer for me too ,that I can get my money back soon! he smiles impishly and watches them leave.. By small things he seems to give the message that being happy, smiling is making their world better he wants to break the spell for them of being a dim ,grim, widow..
Tripurari .. gets threats x2.. who is clean can only threat and put fear out of the wicked! gets a phone call it's Phool Chand .. hey Tripurari where are you? I am outside your house ,indeed to see you urgently.. Tripurari says I am not at home! Phool Chand loses it and yells you better tell me the truth !you were behind getting me beaten up! he denies it point blank don't know what you're talking about? you better not play dumb with me tripurai! I know full well that you do all the dirty deeds for Dashrant Tirpathi ! you just tell me the truth that you got me beaten up? otherwise I'll ruin you! threatens Phool Chand but Tripurari chuckles devilishly and replies ,a half dead man doesn't scare me!and don't even dream about destroying me! stupid and he cuts Phool Chand..
Kanak a woman with a purpose..her car pulls up.. she has a go at Tripurari ,I know it's you who turned babu ji against me. and don't interrupt I'll give you another chance to prove your credibility.. at bringing Viplav home! how you'll do that is not my problem but yours! all I am concerned is that my Viplav should return home. and if this doesn't happen then I will destroy you Tripurari! Threatens Kanak!
Phool Chand a man with a purpose...is outside Tripurari house with a containor of petrol.. Dashrant tripathi I will finish you! have enough proof against you.. slowly I'll depower you! for starters I'll destroy your right hand! now you can't be spared from my rage Tripurari! he douches Tripurari's house with petrol! And sits the house alright and a devil he growls watch Tripurari you'll burn down to ashes! See Dashrant Tirpathi from today I begin your end! yells Phool Chand like mad man!
Kanak snaps her fingers at Tripurari .. he realizes that Phool Chand was outside his house.. where are you lost? asks Kanak he doesn't reply but answers his phone .. pardon me mistress, some man informs him,Tripurari where are you? your house has been set a light! Tripurari is shocked! and he tells kanak he'll have to go! Kanak curses him, give him a job and scrams!
Viplav..a ray of sunshine in the Ashram and grey skies for ingrates!.. sits laughing with Sita maa both look at her husband's picture. Dhani stands over them tidying up. Viplav tells Sita maa her husband despite being in the army still had a lovely smile. She confesses he loved her a lot and Viplav says I am sure he did you must be a beauty in your young days.. Suvarna interrupts that chaiya kaki's children are waiting to see her.. Dhani ,Viplav and Sita maa leave for the courtyard. Outside Indrani , Dulari welcome chaiya kaki's children, sit them down and serve them water. Viplav too strolls in a big keen smile on his face. chaiya's son asks where his mother was and that today is their mothers birthday .. and they've got a present for her. Viplav gets excited and says Dhani you didn't mention about chaiya kaki's birthday ,surely they could have arranged a party for her. One ofchaiya's Son asks, Viplav who he was? and before he could reply , Dhani tells them ,he's the Ashram's watchman ! and he checks what? you liar! and she argues I am not a liar you are! before their bickering gets out of hand Indrani warns Dhani and Viplav tells them.. but the children are impatient and insist on meeting their mother soon, after wishing her , they want her thumb print on a stamp paper.. Viplav suddenly poses a question to them.. she'll come, but why don't you keep her with yourselves? Viplav being a lawyer perks up his mind especially at the mention of the thumb print on as stamp,she is old and feeble .. the son gives the answer of financial constraints , plus lack of space in accommodation.. Viplav challenges the children's motives them we'll get a bigger house and then keep her with you.. he'll pay for her expenses.. and I am serious.. he tells them to give it a though while he goes to collect. chaayia ..kaki
Tripurari watches his mother Durga asleep in the hospital bed, He clearly looks worried... he reflects , hope I am not the one to burn my own house down in this dirty game.. should anything happen to my mother! I'll destroy every one!
Viplav comes to get chaaya kaki and finds her morose. Full of good cheer he wishes her for her birthday and rebukes, you wait for the day when your children will visit you, and here you are standing and weeping?she looks up at him sadly as he cajoles her to come out and sit with everyone. chaiyaa kaki replies , look child , my sons and daughter haven't come here to wish me.. they've come here only to get my thumbprint on the stamp paper! Viplav tries to dissuade her, surely you misunderstand , they've brought presents for you ! besides why would your son behave in such a manner? Sullenly she says, when they kicked me out of the house they were not aware that my late husband left all his estate in my name..when they found out ,they hassled me ! and forced me to transfer the inheritance in their name !nowthey have turned up here using my birthday as an excuse, so they can once more try and force me to transfer everything on their names! she cried and Dhani tried to comfort her. Viplav looked at the old widow and thought of a plan.. Viplav uses divine wisdom to solve this problem, now or never! and he explains two options to chayiaa kaki.. either you chose to cry for the rest of your life like you're doing now! or you'll do as I suggest! Dhani sneers, you don't need to get involved ,just stay out of this! and he warns her with a finger raised up in her face and scolds her, be quiet Dhani ! I am a lawyer and I know what I am talking about!.. then he looks at The old lady , tell me then, are you ready to do as I say so? Dhani with a supportive arm around the elderly widow brings her out to meet her children. They exchange furtive looks and then smile at each other. They greet her and present her a white sari and ask her if she likes it and she says it's lovely. Viplav looks on anxious, will chaiya maa , do as he 's asked her? if she does then they are in for a nasty surprise! and then the crafty son says here are some photo copied papers , they need your thumb print! Then they rally before her pushing the papers, and insisting, go ahead! put your thumb print! Viplav waits for the right moment then just as chiyaamai is about to press her thumb, like a flash of lightening Viplav snatches the papers from under their very noses! Just a minute maa ji! he yells and the sons protests , hang on! who are you? but Viplav says to chiyaa kaki.. how many times, I have told you not to sign or put a thumbprint on any paper without checking the content of the paper! all stand confused ndviplav continues, maa ji at least find out what you're signing ?the widows look at other each other as Viplav's last tutorial on this subject.it now makes sense and they wait for the outcome! The son is irate and he yells how dare you touch these papers and who are you the anyway? Viplav replies I'll tell you in a minute and with a doubld chin he perused through the paper.. and then folded them ..while all wait in apprehension. He smiles and turns to chaiyaa' children.. you asked who I am ? well I tried to tell you before but your avarice came in the middle and you cut me off! I am the lawyer of each and every person who is a resident of this Ashram! which means I am your mothers lawyer too! and as such being her lawyer have every right to know the contents of these paper! argues Viplav.. and after reading I have discovered that without her knowledge you wish to take her signature to transfer all her estate on to your name! now may I also inform you that should I inform the police ,then for sure you'll end up in jail! the children look shame faced and Raj laxmi flies at them in utter rage! how did you dare to think of doing this with her? you need a good hiding! she threatens.. and one of the son protests at Viplav how can you do this and Viplav says, fine give them a hiding first and then we'll call the police later! and he rips the papers in two! with smug defiance! Also when the police get here you won't be able to celebrate her false birthday ,in fact you won't even celebrate rakshabandhan! Sita maa says, chaaiya let the police come, but chaaiya grabs the sari and throws it back in the hands of her daughter and warns her take this as well and what's more from today never come back here again! she cries bitterly and Rachna threatens now get out of here! before we throw you out! and the girls pounce at them with punches, shoving ,rolling pin and all ! pushing them out.. as Viplav laughs and gets the last laugh!.. but his laugh.. ends up in chaaiyamaa's tears.. Viplav was cruel to be kind.. the truth about such greedy ingrate children had to be exposed.. but then this small broken community picks up the pieces and support each other..in a place where the vulnerable huddle together, offer comfort and support and each one of them ,never walks alone.. Viplav looks on but with moistened eyes.. he needed to replenish his strength..he rings his dadi and shares the incident with her.. thrashes the question , how can one's own children become so selfish, cruel and hard hearted? she makes him aware to the fact that widows come to this city only after losing everything.. because no one accepts them.. except Kashi.. he is puzzled , does a women forgo all her bonds and relationship, family ties?when she becomes a widow? have they no other choice.. at a time when they need their children the most at that point how can her children become so callous? Dadi reveals, usual age old practice where women are subjected to such treatment by society.. and this attitude will continue.. women only give.. there is nothing to receive for us.. Viplav is not perturbed by the broad term society.. he is cut up by the treatment an elderly woman /widow gets by her own small immediate unit..her immediate family..
Tripurari with his mother in hospital.. a son who stays with his mother through thick and thin.. but then he gets an unwanted visitor.. Kanak to me she sounds so much like Tripurari .. a man who stirs and winds a person into frenzy, digs pits for his foe. Kanak comes to see him.She harbours her own grudge against him. He dethroned her before her Dashrant, now it's pay back time.tripurari! she ,looks at him full of venom. He looks at her suspiciously.. how is your mother? he is surprised to see her and tells her if he had got to his mother, a little later she would have died due to smoke inhalation, and she gives mock sympathy.. and then sneers at him ,yes sad incident but still he should be thankful to god that her face is clear ,unblemished ,unscathed! otherwise she would have a problem in tying down babu ji with her radiant beauty..and babu ji would have spurned her out of his life like a fly in his milk she mocks him. Kanak is embittered as babu ji seems to have tossed her aside, she who is the apple of his eye..and Tripurari ..this low life is to blame. Tripurari snarls at her, it's clear she did this to his mother ,to his home..and she says , how could she? as she was with him when the arson incident happened..besides why would she burn his house down ..as she's on his side!kanak runs rings around him..like he does to others!..he is puzzled..she mocks him , she came for his help so why would she do such a thing.. she jeers, calls him a bull with a thick brain.. she cleverly tells him , he is babu ji's special man.. but despite that, what has babu ji done for you and your mother.. nothing! only gave you a small house? has he done anything else after that? and now the house too has been reduced to ashes! What are you going to do huh? he gives up and says he can't grasp what she mean? Kanak says you slog for babu ji day and night and what does he do for you.. nothing! think of your role in his life?she's touched Tripurari's raw nerve as he muses.. you wouldn't know but that's all I think about day and night!.. so Kanak is out to get back at Tripurari and Dashrant has a new foe! Then she accepts , that Tripurari is babu ji's son but she has seen with her own eyes that babu ji treats him like a stray dog! she scoofs it's hurtful but it's the truth! and the other truth is that in babu ji's life your mother life is worth only a tuppence! Now think what I dare to insult your mother? I know you two have no value in babu ji's life! he doesn't care two hoots for you! now if babu ji had given honor and respect to your mother.. no one would dare to look at your mother! its the trith isn't it? Tripurari says he doesn't need to be told he knows every thing! he just wants to know what she wants him to do?? then slyly she asks him.. try to understand , what would do to get what is rightfully yours??would does Kanak want.. ?..she says ,there is nothing wrong in getting what is yours by conspiring and duplicity and making a fool out of others.. it is babu ji's personal responsibility to give you and your mother protection and your due full rights! at the moment you don't have a house.. you need one! now surely you are intelligent enough.. aren't you Tripurari? says Kanak, and her revenge against Tripurari for making her fall from grace.. and against Dashrant for dethroning her is underway Kanak has spilt them for good.. more so Dashrant his dog's body! in fact seems now ..Tripurari is Kanak's Alsatian now!
Viplav returns to the courtyard after chatting to dadi.. the girls smile at him, and he smiles back and say's at least someone smiles at me in this place. otherwise in this house some people just flare their nostrils at me and Dhani turns to look at him ..vilplav wants to compensate for the sadness that chaaiya maa suffered ..so he suggests having a celebration, getting a cake but she declines and he insists we need to make good use even the small doses of joy! dulari asks chaiya ,should she make puris and viplavs says I 'll get the cake.. and they are all reluctant an dhani says vehemently don't get cake! he retorts back at her did I ask you? and he ask, chaaya.. she says, she loved cutting the cake before, so he says ,that it's done! t today cakewill be cut! and he leaves.. Viplav returns with the cake and sets it upon a stool and chaiya maa cuts it , he sings happy birthday! they all feed each other.. usual Dhani refuses and he asks what does she call her mother she says maahh! her mouth is open and he pops a bit of cake in her mouth, and he has the rest of the piece . they all decide to go the mandir to hear the recital of Ram khata.. Dhani refuses at first but gives in at the end.. as he will be protecting all of them
Outside a widow asks the way to a mandir.. she says shes' new to the area.. Viplav leads them and the local police meet him and tell them there have been recent robberies in the mandir..there is thud a widow, falls to the ground the widow is turned over.. given water she revives.. Hamlet53 6.10.15
Overall I couldn't understand why this maha episode was done? on a Monday.. may be because colours felt it's nearly 50 episodes, and they haven't tackled the issue of specific widows who's children want their estate.. and then abandon them.. Kanak's scene was powerful.. at least to me.. Viplav's keep happy ,make people smile was key today..
Precap: a live wire dangles over a drum of water, Dhani walks towards the drum with a pot.. a woman watches from the stairs.. she shouts at Dhani not to fill the pot with water and just in time pulls Dhani away from getting electrocuted ..
