Finally viplav managed to find his place in the ashram...or we should say..force himself into the ashram...the week was mainly focused on viplav's stay in the ashram...viplav was shown making efforts to fit among the ladies and managing to resuce himself from their tricks to make him leave...though all widows were objectionable to his stay except rajlakshmi and rachna, with rajlakshmi being a constant support, the strongest opposition was dhani...their bickering didn't stopped even for a moment throughout, whenever they were together...on dhani's suggestion, initially the ladies stood for a non cooperation moment hence also rejecting the grocery viplav bought for the ashram...viplav step by step started feeling the hardships the widows live with...from the insects to the boiled potatoes they eat...he tried to tackle these problems...he took all widows to a hotel to stay until the pest control in their ashram is over...He also took them to a restaurant for food, which came out as a totally new experience for the widows...on returning to their ashram, they found their ashram painted fresh with colours...this triggered dulaari and dhani against viplav and they burst on him..Indrani stood calm and patiently told viplav about their custom of being away from colors...due to pest control, the widows belongings and stuff was gathered in a room from where, sita mayi's husband's photo is missig..dhani against blamed viplav for this..viplav in anger moves out...but returned with white paint and started painting the tree with white...he is objected by dulaari on which viplav finally spoke up...he tried to explain to them, that the world has moved further and they too should not stay sticked to the ages long customs...the nature has given them so many colors and they should appreciate it...Sita mayi came in crying on not being able to find her husband's pictures..viplav is sad seeing her breaking down and suspects the pictures in garbage...he rushes there and bring back the photos with proper frames...and manages to please everyone...
Dashrath tripathi, on the other hand is getting very irritated seeing his grandson getting himself troubled...he is being opposed by the pandit group and they no longer have faith on him..according to them, dashrath is indulged into some wrong means and also his grandson living with widows is objectionable...dashrath proposes resigning from the post of mahant, but ask for sometime to prove himself pure...tripurari found it a good chance and provoked dashrath against kanak...he expressed that kanak is responsible for viplav's stay in ashram...dashrath goes against kanak and started avoiding her...he even went to insult her verbally and indirectly too, by using dadi..he started showing love and respect to dadi, pleasing the lady, and making kanak insecure about her position in the family..As a part of the plan to bring viplav home, dashrath tells tripurari to go to viplav with laddoos(sweet) made by his dadi and tell him that her hands are burnt in the chore...tripurari goes to viplav and purposely,tells him that dadi is suffering from fever..viplav immediately called dadi and she said her hands burnt..different answers opened up the plan failing it..viplav sends tripurari to find the person who got his and dhani's picture published..
Dhani comes up with her next step to throw viplav out of the ashram...she remember viplav mentioning that he feared ghost, and hence , dhani and swarna tried to scare viplav by doing a ghost at night...but ended up getting trapped by viplav in the same trick...whole ashram gathered hearing the noise..dulaari again pleads to viplav to leave but he plays another trick..he asked them to sign some paper and he will leave...the ladies without any second though followed..viplav read out the paper mentioning that the widows approve his stay in the ashram until they pay him his fees...hence viplav again taught them a lesson of not trusting anyone blindly and reading documents before signing...tripurari informs viplav of the pandit who clicked his pictures and viplav along with raj and pankaj went to him secretly and beating him by breaking into his house in disguise.
Kanak finds herself loosing everything and hence decides to go and apologize to dhani..she went to the ashram and apologized..though others were firm on not forgiving, but dhani ends up forgiving her thinking that she is actually repenting..viplav comes in and kanak asked him to come back to home...viplav was very hesitant to move, but seeing his mother follow what he requested, he did moved out constantly looking at dhani...as they reached their car, viplav changed his mind and convinced his mother for his stay in the ashram by swearing her upon himself..viplav returns back to the ashram...clashing with dhani again with his entry...he tried to scare her and also got scared seeing a cockroach..dhani held his weak nerve and used the cockroach to scare him...seeing him terribly upset, she laughs off wholeheartedly...but covers up soon and moves away...

So here comes my favorite section...it can be bitter for few... ...
The concept of the week was viplav's entry into the widows world...their hardships...and his efforts to resolve them...and first of all, appreciation to the writers for bringing out this concept..though the concept is not anything unique and majority of us would have had predicted this earlier, but the essence lies in the portrayal...the concept didn't got limited on any particular emotions, but got us through a roller coaster of emotions...viplav's stubborn behavior, forcing himself upon widows, their annoyed reaction, tricks to kick out each other, getting struck up in pain, gloominess, pleasure, smiles, viplav teaching them few lessons for life...a complete masala package added four moons by the humor...beautifully written and nicely executed...
Viplav was at his best..his stubborn nature never impressed me much but this time, he used it as his weapon for good...applause for this..the way he was shown exploring things and making honest and innocent efforts to resolve their problems was a treat to watch...but the best part were the realities to which viplav took the widows..he took a big step in teaching the widows some lessons for life - not to believe everyone blindly, welcome the changes...it was sad seeing him being brushed off each time and his genuine efforts not receiving the positive feedback they deserved...dhani got nothing much to do this week...she was swinging on the same swing as viplav...stubborn, ready to do anything to kick him out...but her bickerings with viplav, their tactics to win over each other were a treat for everyone...but still her constant bickering was annoying specially when everyone else is quiet and she takes lead to annoy viplav...taking decisions on behalf of whole ashram without a single point of concern from them...i felt really sorry when she forgave kanak..she found her repenting genuinely...the question that kept on bombarding me was, she can see everyone repenting though majority re fake from them, but she is always blind to the genuine repention and concern...and the self declared second in command, dulaari was annoying, as usual..always trying..oops..taking the lead and bursting her throat out even when indrani is present...indrani came as a refreshment this time..when dulaari was set on shouting her throat out, she preferred staying calm and peacefully making efforts to make viplav realize things...I was wondering till Friday, rajlakshmi didn't do anything impressive...and I guess they heard me...the next day, raj came out with a bang...brushing off the widows for not ready to accept the changes..no doubt, she is the strongest female character of the show...
The parallel track, though short, but was more impactful than the main one...finally tripurari got the nerve right and succeeded in getting a small payback from kanak...kanak, the lady doesn't bother for anything except her position and reputation, specially in the family...tripurari succeeds in getting dashrath hitting hard on kanak throughout the week...and this was the best part of the week...first step towards kanak's downfall and breaking her off from her backbone...dashrath did all his efforts to show her from where she belongs and he used dadi as his prop...as much as I was happy to see kanak and dashrath, I was equally annoyed on him for using the poor lady for his motives...dadi looked no more than a puppet whose strings are in hands of dashrath...tripurari finely managed two timings dashrath and viplav and still able to mend things according to him...kanak's fakeness still continuing...when something can't change a mother, I wonder what will change a lady..
The cast were good at their respective spots...though Mishal took the cake once again with the variety he got...this week was enjoyable...the couple's bonding is slowly being developed...the week ends on a very beautiful note...viplav achieving what he requested his mother, moving out of the ashram..and then returning back..did anyone saw the symbolism?..viplav is moving out of his previous tagged reason to stay, moving out from those memories and entering once again purely for his own desire, ready to start a new chapter of this journey...and the first thing he managed was getting dhani smiling...the pleasure inside her blossoming out...effortless..and this turned out very beautiful...perfect ending...

Last week, the character of the week was durga devi, tripurari"s mom...
But this week it is none other than our beloved vipu!!!!

This week was replete with vipu vipu and only vipu...
His actions, naughtyness, crazyness all made us go gaga over him...
Seriously, kudos to him...this is a major transformation from the carefree guy to the serious and responsible man who took care of the people around him...
He was always doing something or the other to make the life of the widows a little less miserable...
First the pest control, then a night in hotel and dinner in restaurant...
Then finally a wonderfully painted renovated ashram...
It's a different matter that he got literally thrashed for his deeds...poor vipu!!!!
There is a wonderful symbolism over here...
First, the pest control signifies that vipu will drive out all the nonsense systems and rules binding dhani...
Then he will expose her to a completely new and different environment of his own world...
Needless to mention, he will also fill colors in the mundane and suffocating lives of the widows...
A huge thanks to the cvs for making the show run in such a wonderful manner...
So, at the end of the day, saare gawaho aur sabooton ko madde nazar rakhte hue ye newletter viplab tripathi ko Character OF THE WEEK ghosit karti hai...
