What? No way! No way.. come on Arnav man up and stop this! At least you have a heart.. Mahabarat mein to the five brothers were at least good.. it wasn't heir fault that their mother told so.. par yahan.. Arnav I am getting highly.mad and before the catastrophe strikes stop it dude!

Years passed by, but Arnav and Khushi's love never lessened. In fact with every passing second of their life, their love for each other just grew. While Arnav promised to never marry again in his life, Khushi could never fall for Anant no matter how much she tried to. Because she knew that he could have stopped the marriage from happening but didn't let it happen for his own profit. For her, Anant was madly in love with her but even with the passage of years, Anant had never begun to love her. It is, was and will be just lust which will cloud his eyes when the sight of her came in front of her eyes.

They named their sign of love, Aarushi combining the names of the star-crossed lovers and naming it just as a name which Khushi liked. The happiness which they found every time they saw their sign of love made them feel as if they had absolutely no pain and no sorrow. But they were like a fish, which floated on the surface of the water to see the light, only when it died.

Anant, who was immensely in love with gambling had fallen into the trap of Shyam and Karan, who wanted to usurp the kingdom and humiliate Khushi who had reject Karan during the Svyamwar. Though a lover of gamble, Anant was just a novice at it and soon found himself losing everything he had including his brothers and himself.

: I don't have anything to stake now." Anant stated with a dropped face while Arnav and Akash were grief-stricken by the immaturity in their brother who couldn't think of getting up before losing even them.

" Of course you have something very valuable to stake, Anant Bhai." Shyam evilly smirked at him while hinting at his revenge.

" What is it dear Shyam?" Anant was too stupid to realize at the fact which they were hinting and he neither was in a frame of mind to think anything straight.

" Your wife, Khushi. I mean Bhabhi Sri Samragyi Khushi, Bhai. And if you win this time, everything will be yours. Its worth the risk, Bhai. I am sure that you will not lose your lucky charm." Karan spoke while eyeing at Anant with a fake innocent face and convincing expressions on his face.

" Bhai, you cannot do this!"

" You cannot stake Khushi, Bhai!"

Akash and Arnav shouted out their opinion but were soon shushed by the person who had won them, Shyam. Multitude of feelings broke in Arnav's heart resulting in the tumultuous conflict in between his respect for his brother's word and his love for his wife. Again, Arnav had forgotten that his duty of a husband was placed way above that of a brother because Khushi was his better-half and Anant was someone born along with him.

" I stake my wife, Khushi." stated Anant, while it destructed Arnav from inside but he chose to take shelter in the painful, dark den of silence so that people would stop taunting Khushi to be a woman, shared between two brothers. He couldn't let her reputation down, could he?

" Bhai, you cannot stake Bhabhi! You have no rights to stake your wife because she has feelings and is not a property." articulated Akash, while he was shushed by Karan who wanted to take revenge from Khushi for rejecting him in the Svyamvar, where her destiny got a new direction.

" Akash, I have all the rights on Khushi. She is my wife and I can stake her." declared Anant, while Arnav's blood boiled in raw fury as he heard his brother trying to defend staking of his wife as a good decision.

" Bhai, by staking my mother like Khushi Bhabhi you have committed a sin. I am shamed to call myself as your brother." Akash, who was extremely fond of Khushi and worshiped her like a mother found it indigestible to take a deed as heinous as this against an epitome of purity and love.

Destiny had planned the events which would take place before hand and the plan was put into action the minute the game began. With every throwing of dice, Anant grew closer to defeat but not even a single sign of remorse appeared on his face much to the disgust of Arnav and Akash. They were truly ashamed of themselves to be called as his brothers.

Finally as anticipated much before, the side which had wit and intelligence won. Shyam had won over Anant and now Anant had lost someone who he called as his wife. Ritualistically since he never fulfilled any vows taken with her, he was not worthy to be called as her husband. But now even his illusions were disillusioned because he had lost all the rights on her; the rights which he snatched from his brother, Arnav.

The laughs of victory and the sighs of defeat resonated in the royal hall, where every person well-versed took a vow of silence. The grandfathers, the uncles and the brothers, everyone chose to be silent because it was the calm before the storm. They all knew what awaited them. And all they could do was to embrace the punishment of being in the royal hall when a disastrous incident would take place and they were ready for that.

" Karan, go and drag that maid of ours, Khushi. Extinguish the burning fire of your vengeance by insulting her, just as she insulted you. This is the time to avenge our insults." Shyam laughed wickedly while Anant stood there crying on his defeat and Akash stood disgusted at what was going to take place.

But the most damned person in that court hall was Arnav. The warrior who never tasted defeat was defeated in the most worst way possible. He could do nothing to save his wife, because voicing out a word now would mean that he was going against his brother's word, which he couldn't bear. And also, if he spoke now he knew that the people assembled would listen to him and would free them all, because they were terrified of his wrath but that would mean that he would lose his brother, and by doing that he will have to lose even the small glances of his wife and his life.

Will Khushi understand Arnav's stand? What was going to happen when Khushi will be dragged to the hall? What will be her reaction?

WOAHHH the chapter is very good so far! i loved the way asr finally spoke up. it feels like the story will end soon though, but its ok! it has been short and simply awesome

is arnav spineless?...listening to his mother...ok understood...but here??? y...didn't he promised khushi while marrying her that he will protect her...be her shield...this is how he's fulfilling it...by getting her humiliated...his wife...mother of his daughter...?????
