Hello!

This is my first time on this forum and have a question.

I was wondering, just as there is a good ghost versus a bad ghost or a good witch versus a bad witch in Western folklore, is there such a thing as good churail versus bad churail, good daayan versus bad daayan or good bhoot/bhootnee versus bad bhoot/bhootnee in Indian folklore?

Oh? How is that? I always thought churails became that way due to unfortunate circumstances.

I do not know if you know about the serial, "Anamika" which ran on Sony Entertainment Television two years ago. The churail featured there, namely Anamika was a grey shade.

I see. I know the churails are good in nature. But people and media portray them as evil.
