Arhi O.S - Ebu's Photograph

It was Saturday day afternoon when all the members of Raizada family were relaxing after their lunch. Khushi particularly loved Saturdays because it was the day when Arnav came home early. Since arrival of Ebu, Nani made a point, he should cut work little bit and spend at least weekend with family .While other were busy chatting, NK and Ebu were taking selfies in his phone making weird faces .

"Khushi bitiya"

"Haan, Hariprakash ji"

"I found your wedding album in the poolside"

"Oh thank you HPji . I was watching it and suddenly saw Ebu walking towards pool , in haste to stop him may be I had dropped it there" Khushi lovingly caressed the album sighing. Such precious memories.

"Uh your wedding album khushiji ..i havn't seen it ,Can I?" NK asked for the album

"Sure Nanheji"

"But Khushi bitiya, why were you suddenly seeing it ?As far as I remember when album came you said it's so bulky that you can't even lift it"

Khushi smiled and shook her head looking at monster size album , "Vo Nanjiji , Ebu by mistake broke the photoframe on bedside table which had our engagement picture , I was thinking to frame a new photo this time with wedding picture .

Ebu as soon as got glimpse of his beloved Amma and Paa's pic on the cover got excited and sat into his chahchu's lap eagerly waiting too see what was in it.

N.K opened and Ebu squealed with delight seeing his amma looking so beautiful keeping her hand on his Paa's heart , smiling .

Pic after pic Ebu scrutinized all of the pic carefully. Sometime laughing , sometimes touching it..but after a while his tiny brain got into action and he noticed he was not present in any pic .

He touched NK's face and asked "Aachu ..bu where ?"(chachu where is ebu?)

Laughing, NK said, "Your Paa didn't take you with him in the wedding , as he wanted your Amma all by himself" NK said and winked at him.

"Haww Nanheji, aap bhi naa, No ebu chachu is lying" Ebu buried his face in his Amma's neck clearly indicating he was sad.

"NK bitwa you shouldn't have said that , see he got sad" Nani scolded him gently.

"Sorry Nani"

"Ebu baby" N.K tried to gain his attention but Ebu was in no mood.

"Khushi , Abeer" Arnav entered the home calling out for his two most favorite person in the world..

"We are here Arnavji"

"See Abeer what I got for you ...train!!!" Ebu scowled at him and buried his face in his Amma's neck.

"What..what happened to him?"

"Nothing Arnavji, he is not in mood today"

"Something wrong ? is he okay ?"

"Yes he is"

"Khushi bitiya take Abeer in the room. Arnav you also go freshen up .I will send refreshments in your room only"

"Ji Naniji"

After changing when Arnav returned, he was surprised to see his son was not in his beloved toy compartment throwing out toys or rummaging into laptop bag searching if his Paa has brought some new toy , instead today he was lying quietly on the bed.

"Ebu did you see what I brought today for you" he showed him the toy train but Ebu simply ignored it and turned his face .

"Not only this I brought a car too" Arnav tried to cajole ,yet Ebu didn't paid any heed.

He tried to lift him and cuddle him but he stubbornly brought his hand in front of him criss crossing it, clearly don't want to touch him and turned his face again .

"Khushi tell me truly what happened with him"

"Why? Is he still not talking ?"

"Not only that , he is neither cuddling to me , nor showing any interest in the toys . You know if things were normal , he would have immediately started throwing all around the room.Tell me !"

"Today he was watching our wedding album ,and he asked why he is not there in any picture ?"

"And ?"

"Nanheji said its because you didn't take him to the wedding . I think he is angry with you for that"

"What the! That nuthead N.K I will.."

"No swearing in front of Ebu, Arnavji"

"I will handle him later but for now , bu..look at Paa" he touched his tiny chin "Chachu is lying"

"Ha Ebu paa is right" khushi cuddled her precious baby.

Ebu turned his tear filled eyes towards Arnav and yelled..

"Bu ..no...photo..only...ammma..paa"

"What should I do to make my Ebu happy ?"

Seeing Ebu still ignoring him he tried to sit inside toy compartment thought quite uncomfortably and started throwing toys all around , he hated mess, yet he could d do anything for his baby.

Ebu looked at him once and turned his face again.

"Bu...no...photo...only...ammma..paa"

Arnav's face fell at his failed attempt but he was too Ebu's father ,more stubborn than him.

Thinking of another idea .He ran towards poolside and plucked a perfectly bloomed rose ,sat near abeer and started caressing Ebu's face with its soft petals "Look Ebu what I got for you"

Ebu instantly smiled seeing his and amma's fav flower but as if thinking something he took it from arnav and thrust it into amma's hand .

"Bu...no...photo...only...ammaa..paa."

Arnav still not deterred, started thinking of another idea while khushi was amused and having a hard time to control her laughter .To see Harvard Grad ASR thinking of silly ways to manofy Junior ASR.

"Khushi why are you laughing ?"

"This is so funny Arnavji"

"Laugh as much as you want later on, but help me first" Although he knew he is not at fault and he could have simply left , but he seeing his normally enthusiastic and naughty baby lying so quietly tore his heart.

Mentally thinking to make another copy of the all the wedding photos with adding Ebu in all the pics through Photoshop..

"Khushi do something"

"

Ebu should we ask paa to become horsey .?"

"Ooorsey?"

"Yes then we will take a ride on it Amma and her sweet bu ."

Ebu smiled & clapped his hand. "oorsey...paa oorsey"

Arnav now desperate to do anything to cheer up his child obediently got on fours , while khushi made Ebu sit near his neck then sat herself.

"Chal mere ghode...tik ..tik...tik."

"Yeth ..thal mele oodhe...ik..ik...ik" ...ebu repeated .

And arnav sweetest horsey in history moved around the room.

"Oorsey..." Ebu clutched his shirt tightly and nudged him to move fast . After 10 min, Ebu was squealing, laughing along with his Amma and Paa forgetting why he was sad.

After the ride ended Arnav smilingly cuddled Ebu, and this time Ebu cuddled back ..

"but...why ..no ebu...in ooto?"

Arnav helplessly stared towards Khushi for the answer, she whispered something in his ears..which made arnav's face lit up.

"Vo kya hai naa ebu , you were with Godji at that time and you are so sweet that he doesn't want to leave you very easily . Me and Amma prayed a lot to get you, see we are doing that ,showing him a photo with their hands joined in prayer during wedding ritual.

Ebu satisfied with explanation gave him his 4 teethed smile.

Playing for few more minutes they got downstairs as Nani was calling for afternoon snacks.

"Hello hi bye bye ,hamere raizada mansion k rajkumar ka gussa thanda hua?"

"Ji mami ji"

"Abeer let me take your photo with your mom dad, you can add these pics in that album" Arnav khushi sat on the sofa with ebu between them . N.K took his position.

"Uko..(ruko){wait }"

As preparation of ganeshutsav festival were going on, garlands were lying all over the living room , Ebu picked 2 garlands and made his parents wear it.

Then he took khushi's duppatta and put it on her head just like their wedding photo then he sat again in between and them and said "aachu...oto...( chachu photo )"

Arnav was so overwhelmed seeing this that they tried to take photos in every pose as possible like wedding album.

Few days later -

As planned a new photo frame was adoring Arshi's bedside table but as a new addition a poster size photo frame was hung on their wall with arnav khushi and ebu sitting together on sofa . The pic N.K clicked on that fateful day .
