Part 13 - Growing Feelings!

(Writer's POV)

"Nothing is new that I haven't seen before about Rishu's body." Madhu tells still focusing on the game.

"You know, Rishu has 9 moles on his body in total"

"What?" Nisha shouts in shock. "How do you know that?"

"Because I have inspected every inch of his body & made an accurate count of his moles" Madhu says with a shrug.

"Oh please stop that game & tell me clearly?" Nisha asks.

"Okay. When I was joining college, Rishu was the one who filled my college application form & there it was asked to mention any two birth marks or moles & Rishu wrote it correctly without asking me. I know he used to run me a bath & dress me when I was a kid so he might have noticed then but surprisingly he remembered it even after a long time. So I asked him..."

"Did you ran him a bath & dressed him?" Nisha asks in delight.

"Chee... No. I just asked him to show his body so that I can see his moles."

"What? This 'touch-me-not plant' let you see his body?"

"Well. Not so easily. I had to put a little wrestling with him & then he surrendered" Madhu says shyly.

"Okay, tell me where all he has moles?" Nisha asks curiously.

"Hmm... Left ear, left calf, midriff, back neck, right on top of his mid spine, chest, left upper arm, right wrist,.. & then my most favorite mole, the little one..."

"Where? There huh?" Nisha asks grinning, shooting both her eye brow up.

"Where?" Madhu asks confused.

"That part" Nisha says blushing.

"No. I mean his little finger. He has a small mole on his left hand little finger. I love that" Madhu says smiling making Nisha scowl at her.

"So nothing on his front & behind?" Nisha asks disappointed.

"I didn't see what's beneath his underwear. How could I ask him to show that part?" Madhu asks innocently.

"Gah! Then it's not an accurate count because you hadn't seen every inch of his body. You left the main parts. I will go find the hidden treasures on his cute butt &..." Nisha winks & walks straight to Rk's changing room. Cute butt? & what?

"What? No" Madhu panics & runs behind Nisha.

"Nisha, I m hungry, come lets eat." Madhu says & drags her out of Rk's room before she could start her examination on Rk's body.

"Hi Sultan. Morning Dipali" Madhu says excitedly joining them on the breakfast table. Sultan glares at her while dipali smiles politely.

"What's that bruise on your cheek Sultan?" Madhu asks innocently making Rk & Nisha chuckle.

"Dipali, Kissed me" Sultan tells grinning & earns a kick from Dips under the table.

"Oh. Such a sound kiss huh? I though she punched you." Madhu tells giggling.

"Why don't you shut your mouth by stuffing this sandwich?" Sultan asks pissed & stuffs her mouth with mushroom sandwich.

"Ah!" she gags & rushes to the bathroom to throw up.

"Sultan, don't you know she is allergic to mushroom?" Rk scolds him.

"I don't have super memory to remember all that. If she don't want to eat then fine, I will have the rest." Sultan says & takes the rest of the sandwich from her plate but only to be snatched by Rk.

"Eat what's there on your plate" Rk admonishes him & starts eating the snatched sandwich.

"You okay, baby?" Rk asks when she joins them back after wiping her mouth with a towel.

"Yes" She nods & takes the peanut butter to put on her toast.

"Rishu, you too don't like mushroom right?" Madhu asks.

"Nisha introduced me to this taste & now I started loving it. Mushroom sandwich is my favorite food for breakfast now a days & that's why she makes it daily for me" Rk tells her while enjoying his sandwich.

"Oh" she nods.

"Rk, I asked you for a favour, remember?" Nisha softly asks Rk.

"Yeah" Rk nods.

"Then come" Nisha grabs Rk's hand & takes him to the bar counter in the living room.

"Here, hold this" She hands him a flute of wine & takes one for her & perches on the bar stool besides him.

"What they are doing Sultan?" Madhu asks looking at Rk & Nisha from the breakfast table.

"They are doing exactly what you are seeing" Sultan replies irately. Madhu pouts & turns to see what is going on between Rk & Nisha.

"Rk, I want to take a selfie" Nisha explains when Rk gave her a puzzled look.

"Then take, why you need me?" Rk asks.

"I want to take a close up picture of us"

"Why would you need that?" Rk asks.

"I want to make Micheal jealous. That duffer is showing so much importance to his work than on me" Nisha pouts.

"Duffer? Do I come under that category?" Rk asks curiously.

"Of course" Nisha grins & ruffles his hair.

"She is ruffling his hair, sultan"

"If u want i will ruffle yours" Sultans says & ruffles madhu hair wildly.

"Ahhnnn... " madhu pushes Sultan's hand off her head.

"We need to work for a living, sweety" Rk tells twitching Nisha's nose.

"You are earning more than a living, honey" Nisha chides him.

"If we didn't earn then how can we lavish on you shopaholic girls? If we didn't then you will ditch us right?" Rk winks at her.

"Okay. Okay. Enough. Just give me a selfie" Nisha says.

"With pleasure" Rk smiles & holds the champagne flute in one hand & pulls nisha closer to him with other hand, their cheeks touching, lips pouting as Nisha clicks the picture in her mobile phone.

"What the hell? Can't they do their romance in private?" Madhu cribs & turns to see Dipali sitting on Sultan's lap as he feeds her.

"Ugh!! I hate PDA couples" She bangs her fist on the breakfast table & stands up to leave to her room. Well, not before messing with Sultan.

"Sultan, Didn't you tell me, Dipali is getting fat & even asked me to tell her my fitness secret while coming in flight? Then how you are managing her weight on your lap?" Madhu asks curiously & before he could kill her she runs in jet speed to her room & locks it.

"Am I fat?" Dipali stands & asks in a murderous tone.

"No. Baby"

"So u started lying too?"

"No, baby"

"Tell me honestly am I fat or not?"

"I swear, you so slim & perfect, my cutie pie" Sultan woos. Dipali pours the orange juice on his head & walks away.

One weekend, Madhu, Rk, Sultan, Dipali & Nisha all five went to cinemas to watch a movie.

Nisha steps into the row of seats first & before Rk could walk & sit next to her, Madhu jumps in & takes the next seat to nisha & made Rk sit next to her & then sultan & dipali takes the next two seats.

Being a foodie madhu finishes her pop corn first & turns to dig in from Rk's bucket of pop corn & there she notices Sultan & dipali kissing like wild teenagers.

"Oh God! What they are doing?" Madhu asks hiding her face on Rk's arm.

"Just ignore them & watch the movie" Rk tells her.

"At least ask them to not make noise" Madhu tell Rk.

"Stopping making a fuzz with this simple thing. Couples mostly come to cinemas to steal some special moments. You just focus on the movie, baby"

"Why can't they do all this at home, in private?" Madhu cribs & turns to the other side & her mouth drops wide open seeing Nisha kissing some other guy.

"What the hell? Rk...Rk" Madhu scraps Rk shoulder.

"What's your problem madhu" Rk asks irately.

"See, this" Madhu leans back on her push back seat to show Nisha kissing someone else.

"So what?" Rk asks coolly.

"She is kissing someone else instead of you?" Madhu says in shock seeing Rk so calm not at all bothered of the happening.

"If you sit in between us then how she will kiss me? So she got to kiss the man next to her as she cant kiss you" Rk says teasingly.

"Uh-huh... No, this is wrong. She should not do this to u. You are her boyfriend but she is kissing someone else in front of you. Go fight" Madhu insists.

"I'm not a brawler" Rk says & turns his attention back on the movie.

"Rishuuu..."

"Watch the movie" Rk says sternly.

"No!" she shouts & turns to nisha & rudely pulls her apart from the man who has his hands draped around her back & tongue injected in her mouth.

"What the f**k" The man growls.

"What you are doing Nisha?" Madhu asks angrily.

"Kissing" Nisha says innocently.

"That I can see"

"Madhu, stop it" Rk tells her but she ignores him.

"Who are you man?" Madhu asks the guy.

"I'm Nisha's boyfriend"

"What? How many boyfriends you have girl?"

"Madhu, Shut up & come with me" Rk scolds gently & drags her out of the cinema hall. Sultan & dipali remain blissfully ignorant of the happening as they keep on romancing.

"What the hell is happening? & why you brought me out?" Madhu asks.

"Lets go for a walk"

"Rishu, answer me? Did You & Nisha broke up?" Madhu asks.

"Yes"

"Oh. I'm sorry. But till yesterday you both were happy right? Even just sometimes back she was happily chatting with u but how so quickly she found another man?"

"Don't talk rubbish madhu. We were over long back"

"When?"

"Before I got married to you. It was you who meddled in our business trying to patch us up. Remember once you said you saw me & nisha in a mall? Yeah, on that day itself I told her clearly there is no room for her in my heart as a lover but she wished to be my friend"

"But that's long back. After our divorce, after coming to Singapore, I thought..."

"Yes, everything is in your head but there is nothing between us. I have told you this over & over again but you didn't hear me, then I got fed up & let u assume whatever damn well you feel right to u."

"But you told, you both hang up, go for dinner & daily she comes to your house to make breakfast for you... even in gym she told you both make out without caring for the world?"

"Nisha is my friend. Just friend. She did all that for me because she cares for me & I for her. In gym, when u assumed we were making out, she just carried with your assumption to tease you. Clear!"

"So you are not her boyfriend?" Madhu asks with a smile. She feels relief spiral through her body.

"You seems so happy for me being rejected by yet another girl?"

"It's not that Rishu. I m sorry"

"Yeah. Nisha loves me but she is a smart girl. Made a right decision by moving on in her life & chose the right partner for her. Micheal is a Doctor. Once Nisha met with an accident & he only treated her & from there they started dating & soon they will be getting engaged"

"Oh!" Madhu nods understanding.

"I have one more question, Rishu?" Madhu asks.

"What?" Rk snarls.

"Why you both took your selfie which she uploaded in facebook too & tagged to you"

"Being a Doctor, Micheal rarely finds time to take her out for date but this silly girl wont understand his work nature & always pesters him to take her out. Finally she wanted to make him jealous so she asked me to help her by taking a close up pic & she uploaded it on facebook so that he would see that & make him come running to her fearing he might lose her to me. I thought it was bullshit but strangely her plan worked out & see he is here with her to watch that boring movie"

"Like Nisha, did you too moved on in your life, Rishu?" Madhu asks in a mere whisper.

"That's more than one question." He tells & keeps walking ahead shoving his hands in his pants pocket.

"Rishu... I want to tell you something..."

"Yeah, tell me" he slows down his phase to her speed.

"I think I m changing"

"Yes, you are. I could see the changes. You have reduced your weight & become slim & fit. You have even become bold & brazen wanting to go for stripe club & all"

"Not that changes. My feelings are changing for..."

"Are you in love?" Rk asks surprising madhu. Madhu stares at him blankly. Am I in love? She thoughts.

"So you got a handsome boyfriend in your college huh? If so, my hearty congratulations. I m sure he must be of your age, young, good looking, a perfect match for u & as you wished you can have a love marriage, that too after finishing your studies, after having a stable job, mainly no one will force you this time, right?"

Rishu is not in love with Nishu but he is not in love with me too. He is happy for me to have a boyfriend. He is not feeling possessive for me like he used to be. Had he fallen out of love with me? Had I pushed him too far away from me? She thoughts.

"Will you get married again?" Madhu asks without replying to him.

"Mom is pestering me to get married." Rk tells.

"And?"

"Don't know. I m not ready for it yet" he tells her drily. She nods & they continued walking back home.

"You make it look like a magic

'cause I see nobody,

nobody but you, you ,you

I'm never confused..."

Madhu sings the song as she walks with Rk holding his arms.

"That's a nice song" Rk tell her with a smile. "You sung so well. Missed hearing to your sweet voice"

"Yes, I missed hearing you sing & play guitar too. Do you still play guitar?" Madhu asks.

"Yeah. I do. But not so often." By talking they both reaches his office building.

"Hmm..." madhu hums. They get into the elevator & Rk taps the code for the penthouse.

"When your work here will get over & when you will come back to India?" Madhu asks.

"I don't know. I m happy working here"

"Hmm... your parents will miss you right?"

"I m asking them to come & stay with me but they are not listening to me"

"What? So you are planning to shift your entire family here huh?" Madhu asks panic setting in her.

"Not really."

"Are you planning to stay here forever?"

"I don't know. But don't worry in case I decide to immigrate also I will come to attend your marriage." Rk tells chuckling. Madhu glares at him for a moment & marches to her room without a word.

Oh God...That was d story behind 9-moles! 😲 😆 But as Nisha said, it's not accurate, u see...Madhu had left out some places... 😉 😆
I'm I dreaming or Madhu is really doubting whether she's in love with her Rishu! 😲 I was close to giving up all hopes on this dumbhead...much like RK. 😆
RK is already shattered...so much that he's grown numb to d sufferings it seems...N, RK's indifference is hurting her...but she deserves it completely for hurting our darling, RK.
Di, I want Madhu to go down on her knees n ask for forgiveness n propose RK, whenever realisation of her love for RK, really dawns on our dumbo...N RK should walk away in shock, 😲...leaving behind, a hurt n bewildered Madhu...😳 I want her to feel something close to what RK had felt on d day she overlooked his proposal. Only after that will she really deserve d place she wants in his life...Although d irony is that she always had had it, unknowingly...

Commenting on both 12th & 13th update.. Both r amazing but I like the latest part more.. Why? Because of the kisses yaar simple 😆 Finally, because of that kissing our dumbo got the bulb in her brain lit & understood RK loves NOBODY. Well, though he's trying to show he has fallen out of love but we know he never will.. So Madhu feels her feelings r changing but she has pushed him so far. That jealousy trick worked for not only Nisha but for Madhu too. Her new baked up feelings are just because of it. RK should get more close with her ex-gf 😉
