Rajinikanth starrer Kabali' is slated to release during Tamil New Year in April 2016. The Tamil New Year falls on April 14th 2016 and Shahrukh Khan starrer Fan' releases on the same weekend. The YRF production venture is slated to release on 15th April 2016. So, this means that SRK and Rajinikanth might clash at the box-office in April 2016.
A source said, "The exact release date is not yet locked, but the plan is to release the film during the Tamil New Year week in April. The shooting will be wrapped up by January next year and the next two months will be spent on post-production work."
SRK is a huge fan of Rajinikanth. The latter had also done a cameo in SRK starrer Ra. One' and in Chennai Express', SRK had paid a tribute to Rajinikanth with the song Lungi Dance'.
