I have heard dadi compare Savitri with Pragya always.

I don't know how many of u know the story of Savitri and Satyavan.

some similarities between Savitri and Pragya but ..

1) savitri was also rejected by many men. No, not because her sister was more beautiful but because of her righteousness, smartness, honesty , will power. Men feard to marry her.

2) Savitri married satyavan knowing he will die in an year. Pragya married Abhi knowing life is going to be complicated. She was with him knowing he will leave her soon .

So these are the similarities , may be they are others too , I don't know read it 6-7 years ago in school , I don't remember.

But the difference is Savitri was never expected by her in laws to save her husband. Savitri never gutted her husband and the most important Savitri was smart.

When Lord yama ( the God of death ) was leaving with the soul of satayavan she argued and talked so much about every right and wrong , good and bad etc that Yama granted to fullfull any of her wish except the life of satyavan

She used her to wit to ask to bless her with babies of her husband.
Impressed by her smartness. Yama gives back life to satyavan.

I don't think dadi read this properly. May be she forgot due to her old age or may be she is using it to her convenience.savitri never followed Any one plans. She was smart and she saved her husband.

Stop expecting Pragya to be Savitri. Don't force ur half baked plans on her.
