Akhlaque Khan: Actresses on my show were jealous of my beauty
Akhlaque Khan, currently seen in '2025 Jaane Kya Hoga Aage', is the latest actor to take on the guise of a girl.
"At first, I thought they were kidding when they told me that I had to act like a girl," says Akhlaque, adding, "I was not scared because it's an actor's job to perform every role to the best of his abilities. My only worry was whether I would be able to pull it off convincingly."
The actor took inspiration from Dustin Hoffman's Tootsie for his role. And the attire did half the job, he feels. "As soon as I got into the costume, my body language changed. I must say that it's a pain to sit through the entire makeup drill. Hats off to the female actors of our industry, who go through this every day.
The actresses on my show didn't help me with my look though. I guess they were jealous of my beauty," he laughs.
