Coz this is an open Forum so we are bound to have different opinions
Even if we had no IF and ppl supporting all the misplaced feminism shown in the serial still CVs wud have shown us this absurdity.
I am talking of times when shows like Kyunki anf Kasauti were ruling the TRPs. At that time there were no or very few online portals and CVs then did not take feedback from those any which ways n yet they went ahead with their brand of feminism.
Anyways as far as the show is concerned I feel they have shown us wrong portrayal of feminism or womanhood almost from the point where they showed Ishita tying Rakhi to her molestor.
For me feminism would mean Ishita-
-being angry and talking it out with Raman for manhandling incident
-being angry on his Get out n u r not the mother of my children incident
- Lohri where he was readily going and doing Puja with Shagun
-talking out with Toshiji when she called her an outsider in front of guests during Rinki wedding
- or not giving in to Rinki's demands of buying a flat
Instead we see
- Manhandling incident ending in comedy
- Get out lead to confession with no proper closure
- Lohri, she was wallowing in self pity in a corner n Ruhi had to put some sense in elders, y cant woman raise voice against the injustice done to them? If they do then SP's agyakari Bahu tag will get tarnished.
- Well Toshi calls her an outsider and then comes and begs to fix Rinky's marriage after she is thrown out by Raman. Ishita character never questions Toshiji for calling her an outsider or talking about her marriage going through a rough time and never asks her "here I am at my mother's place and all u can think of is ur Daughter? " Instead we see her forgetting her pain and working Rinky's marriage out.
- Lot of family drama was going on when she was insulted out right by Rinki and Romi yet she forgets her hurt and strives to work for them? Asks her husbannd to pay for them?
Can a woman not be selfish for once and stand up for her own self respect and rights? Ya if she does that then it wud go against SP's delusion of ideal woman who have to compromise their self respect to make their husbands and in laws happy. 🥱In what way is this Nayi Soch or Feminism?
For me feminism is not about Ishita beating her husband or asking him to do uthak baithak, its about her standing up to her own rights as a Woman.
