Hello Forum Members! I'm Sana...Some of you must have seen me around the forum here and there, I have been hooked onto SwaSan for some time now and with this post i'm officially boarding their ship ๐Ÿ˜† I have been a Varun fan since his Laado days and have followed him through HHL and SC and I have no idea what took me so long to follow him through this show too coz SwaSan have sizzling chemistry But anyway Der Aaye Durust Aaye! ๐Ÿ˜†

So, i have tried to write a One Shot based on the upcoming marraige track. Its the first time I have tried to write something instense, I usually stick to writing funny or romantic stuff, but Sanskaar just makes me brood with his mysterious expressions. I think I got into his character way too much while writing this ๐Ÿ˜† Anyway, hope you like it:

The storm raging outside matched the one in his heart. The events of today played over
and over again in his mind. Maybe, that's why he couldn't make sense of anything right
now. The guilt was suffocating him...guilt towards Lucky, Swara and Kavita. All he knew
was that he needed to get away, now, before Swara got out of her numb state and
questioned his actions because what would he tell her when he himself didn't understand
why he did what he did.

"I have some work. I have to go", Sanskaar muttered into the silent night, as Swara and
him were making way towards their tent, before changing route and walking towards his
car.

Swara barely acknowledged his words, busy battling the strom raging within her too. She
continued to make her way into the tent before finally sinking on the bed. All she could
see was Sanskaar's face when he filled her maang, all she could hear was Lakshay's
accusations, all she could feel was the weight of the sindooor on her forehead and all she
could think was what had he done?!

A while later, Sanskaar had parked his car on a deserted road. He had no idea where he
was, nor did he care. He just wanted answers from himself on one hand, but refused to
acknowledge what his heart was saying on the other hand. He needed logical answers.
When everyone was accusing Swara for getting into a fake marraige just for revenge,
why did it hurt him? When they questioned her character, why did it make his blood boil?
And why did he take such a drastic step to get them out of the situation? Why was
stepping up to defend her and filling her forehead with sindoor his first instinct? Why,
why had he married her when he had made that promise to Kavita, the girl he loved, the
girl he will always love?

Sanskaar slammed his hand on the steering wheel in frustration. How could he do that to
Kavita? And to Lucky? He realized that maybe now he has lost whatever little chance he
had to redeem his relationship with him and possibly ruined Swara's chance to mend their
broken relationship too. He ignored the jab of pain he felt when he thought of Swara and
Lakshay together.

"No, I cannot feel this. Its wrong. I love Kavita. She loves Lucky. But then, why does it
hurt so much?", Sanskaar thought, leaning back into his seat and taking a deep breath
before getting out of the car and slamming the door shut.

It was drizzling now, but he ignored the rain drops and started walking aimlessly. He
came across a park and decided to go inside. It was again deserted, because of the rain
storm, apart from a few people here and there. He noticed with surprise, that they were
mostly couples enjoying the rain.

He looked up at the sky and sighed, "Great, the world is playing a cruel joke on me".

He sat on a bench and tried not to look at the couples but his eyes automatically drifted to
one. It wasn't the couple dancing in the rain, it wasn't even the one talking animatedly
like they hadn't talked in weeks, his attention, instead, was captured by the couple just
sitting there in each others arms, comfortable silence prevailing between them like they
didn't need to express what they were feeling at the moment, it was understood. Their
expressions, so blissful, like they held the entire world within the protective circle of their
arms. It made his heart ache.

Sanskaar glanced at the empty bench he was sitting on and thought about Swara, alone in
their tent, freaking out too, probably more than him. Another instinct struck him at the
thought, the instinct to go back to her. He realized he was being selfish here, the one thing
he promised to himself he would never be when Swara gave him the chance to redeem
himself. Here, he was battling his own emotions when he should have been calming down
Swara. He had to assure her nothing had to change between them now that they were
essentially married and if she wanted to go back to Lucky after Ragini's truth came out or
simply, didn't want to stay with him, she would be free to do so, how much ever it hurt
him to let her go. Maybe he wasn't ready to accept that he might have feelings for Swara
yet, but he had come to the conclusion looking at the couple that she filled some void in
his life, he didn't feel as empty as he did before. She gave him a purpose, a chance to
become the Sanskaar again that Kavita and his family once loved and he owed everything
to her for that. Sanskaar gave a last smile to the couple before starting to make his way
back to their humble abode.

Meanwhile, Swara was still lost in her thoughts, staring absentmindedly at nothing in
particular, going over the events of today again and again. It was becuase of this that she
didn't realize someone had entered her tent until the person put a hand on her shoulder
and squeezed it in sympathy. Swara broke out of her trance and turned to face the person,
expecting it to be Sanskaar, but her eyes met Ragini instead and her mood deflated
further.

"What do you want now?", Swara said, her intolerance clearly showing in her voice. She
was fed up of Ragini and her games.

Ragini looked at her with fake sympathy in her eyes, while Swara looked at her with
distaste at how she was here to act innocent and sympathetic again and try to convince
her to leave the house. What Swara didn't know was that even Ragini had realized that
her efforts to get Swara out of the house till now had been futile, that's why she had
changed her game plan. She wasn't going to target Swara's character or intentions infront
of the family anymore, she was going to target her support system...which was Sanskaar,
because if Swara lost trust in him, there was no way they would be able to work together
to bring her truth out. And Sanskaar had just given her the perfect opportunity to do so,
she could just make out the vulnerability in Swara's eyes behind her mask of distaste.

"Today, I do not want anything from you, Swara. Today, I am not here infront of you as
the girl who ruined your life, but as your sister...", Ragini began and Swara tried to
interrupt her but she continued on, "No, just please listen to me this one time, Swara, I
mean it. I know what i did to you was cruel, but i wasn't alone, Sanskaar helped me in
ruining your life. Up until this moment, I thought that he regretted it..."

"He does", Swara broke in, her voice wavering.

"Really? You really think so, Swara? After what he did today?"

"He did it to protect me...because he had no choice" Swara protested, trying to convince
herself more than Ragini.

Ragini let out a humourless laugh, "Do you even believe yourself when you say that,
Swara? He could have told everyone that you both didn't need to prove that you were
married or he could have just let you go and admitted that the marriage was fake. I'm sure
you both would have found another way to unite Maa and Baba and to expose me. There
was no need to make the marriage real, unless..."

Ragini trailed off and Swara's anger rose at what she was implying. There was no way
that was true.

"Listen, Ragini, whatever you want to say, just say it and leave. I don't have time for this"
Ragini sighed, "Swara, please don't misunderstand me this time. I just really feel that
Sanskaar has an ulterior motive. You and I both know how vengeful he is, maybe he is
still going on with his original plan to take away Lakshya's love from him. He keeps
shoving the relationship you guys have in Lakshya's face and he married you infront of
him today, I think he still wants his revenge and you are just collateral damage to him. He
doesn't care about you or your aim to unite Maa, Baba. Trust me, he doesn't. You have to
end this marriage, Swara, or he won't let Lakshya move on and he will ruin both our lives.
You are trusting the wrong person, Swara, but its not too late yet. Think about it"

Ragini glanced at Swara and smiled on seeing her lost in thoughts...confusion, doubt and
fear clouding her eyes. She gave one last sympathetic pat on Swara's shoulder before
making her way towards the exit of the tent, though her steps halted abruptly when she
saw Sanskaar standing there. His expression as stormy as the weather outside.

Ragini gulped, "Sans...Sanskaar"

Swara perked up at the sound of his name. She stood up from the bed and glanced at him,
tentatively. Their eyes locked, but Swara couldn't make out what he was feeling. His
expression had turned blank. Swara briefly went back to the time he had told her how he
had mastered the art of not showing anyone what he really felt in the past 5 years. At that
time, she had just laughed it off, but now looking at him she realized what he was talking
about.

"I will leave you two alone", Ragini muttered, excusing herself.

Sanskaar didn't even acknowledge her as she moved past him, his eyes fixated on Swara,
trying to understand what she was feeling but she had already looked away, avoiding his
eyes as soon as Ragini left the room, leaving behind just the weight of her words.

The tension grew thicker and an awkward silence prevailed between them before the
cracks in Sanskaar's facade started to show without his will. He tried to reign in his
unjustified hurt, but before he could, the words slipped out from his lips, "Do you believe
her? Do you believe what she said about me?"

He moved towards her, until they were a foot apart, and placed his hands on her shoulder,
making her meet his eyes, but what he saw took his breath away.
There it was, the doubt in her eyes. He had expected to see it many times, but now that he
had, it made him feel like someone had knocked the breath out of him. He dropped his
hands from her shoulders and took a staggering step back, trying to comprehend the
amount of pain he felt.

As he took another step back, Swara's hand automatically rose in the air as if to stop him
from going away and he felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, she was just confused. It was
natural to be confused in her situation and he couldn't really blame her for thinking that
about him after what all he did to her in the past.

He took a step towards her again this time and tried to assure her that he really regretted
what he had done, that she had really changed him and that he only ever wished
everything good for her now, but no words came out of his mouth. He seemed incapable
of speech at the moment.

His mind drifted back to the couple, he had seen in the park, and realized what he
couldn't convey through words, he could convey through his eyes. So, he let his practiced
facade slip and let her see everything he felt in that moment: the hurt, the fear, the
frustration, the vulnerability; hoping to see the trust in her eyes in return.

A tear slipped from Swara's eyes conveying her trust and Sanskaar moved his hands from
her shoulders to her cheeks to wipe it away. He sighed in relief and closed the gap
between them, wrapping her in his arms.

And as they stood there with their arms locked around each other, it really felt like they
were stranded in between the raging storm with only each other to hang onto.

Like seriously you portrayed both of their emotions soo soo beautifully. It felt realistic and soo very natural. I loved how she trusted him in the end. I wish this happens in the show too because anything less would leave me disappointed. I absolutely loved it. Thank you for writing๐Ÿค— and please do write more. I would love to read๐Ÿ˜ƒ
