Chapter 7

Rey stare at her as she descended down the stairs, dressed in beautiful off white Dress which was making her looking like an angel came from heaven. Her beautiful long hair open, flying in air added more sparks into her eternal beauty. Rey was staring at her without blinking, she was looking so gorgeous that he couldn't avert his gaze away from her.

"Beautiful." Rey whispered as she came and stand before him. Unknowingly, she blushed feeling his penetrating gaze roaming over her body. It gave her a jittery feeling. Her gaze roam over his greek god like body, dressed in black armani. She gaped at him, he looked so..handsome. She had never seen someone so perfect like him. She bite her lower lip when she saw, she was caught while checking him out, he was smirking down at her.

"Don't be embarrass, I was doing the same." Rey whispered, Taani blushed and lowered her gaze causing him to chuckle. She looked around, trying to find any other family but no body was there. Rey followed her gaze.

"They had already left, to attend the guests." Rey answered her unasked question. Taani nodded, then she stare at him as he step close to her and wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Lets go."

Taani nodded at him slightly as they both left the house and drove away to the party venue. As car moved forward, nervousness bubble up inside her. Their marriage wasn't a normal one and she is not ready to face people's question about her marriage with him. When she herself doesn't have any idea why he married her, then how will she explain this to others?

His bodyguards surrounded them as they walked inside the party venue, preventing media to approach them. They walked inside the hall, hand in hand. She tighten her grip on his hand, feeling all the eyes were on them. Rey gripped her hand tightly, assuring her. People were in awe, seeing them. They looked so made for each other, complimenting each other perfectly. Guests came and greeted them, Rey introduce her to his friends, business associates & some relatives. Feeling proud whenever people compliment her , for her pure beauty or sweet nature. He had a firm grip around her, claiming his right over her.

She had a small smile plastered on her face whenever people would come to them and talk but from inside, she was feeling suffocated, pretending to be happy when she is not.

"Smile wifey, your father is here & I'm sure, he will not like it when he will see you sad." Rey leaned and whispered in her ear. His breath tickling over her ear, she shivered slightly. A small smile, a real smile appeared on her face when she saw her father approaching them.

"Papa." Taani whispered, with her moist eyes. she stepped forward and hugged her father. Feeling happy that atleast, he is not misunderstanding her like her mother & Sister.

"How are you, beta?" Gautam asked her, breaking the hug. Gautam glance at Rey who was giving him a sly grin. Taani nodded in response, she didn't wanted to worry her father unnecessarily when he already have one broken daughter to handle.

"Rey, can I talk to taani for a moment in alone, please." Gautam asked him, Rey looked thoughtful, he looked at taani who was staring at him, wanting him to agree.

"Alright." Rey agreed, gautam thanked him as he took taani to a room near by, where singhania's had kept all the gifts & other things.

"Now, Taani beta, please tell me what exactly happened that day?" Gautam asked his daughter. Taani stare at her father debating whether to tell him or not. After having an inner battle, she decided to tell me everything. Her eyes scorched with hot tears as she started telling what happened on th day of wedding. How she got a call from him, then she went to meet him and how he married her by blackmailing her.

"..and i still don't know why he married me, dad. He said, he isn't doing all this for revenge, then what? He didn't told me anything." As she finished telling him, she was in her father's arms, crying silently.

"I know, I know, Taani, why he married you." Her father whispered, she got the biggest shock of her life. She stare at her father, with wide eyes.

"Why?"

"Because of my mistakes, he married you to save you." Her looked guilty as he spoke. She stare at him with confusion and surprise, having no idea about what he was speaking, she just stare at him, waited for him to continue.

"When Rey's parents came for wedding alliance, It wasn't for Kria but for you and at that time, i convinced them for kria because I'd fixed your wedding with someone.." Gautam started to disclose the truth. Her hands turned cold, she wasn't aware about this.

"I was forced to fix your marriage with my business partner ravi's son, But Rey knew that guy is not right for you. he argued with me but I was too blinded to listen to him..Ravi's son is not a right guy, he was a drug addict, was involve in some murders but he wanted to marry you, he was obsessed with you, and he forced me to agree with his marriage with you or else, he will kill smriti & Kria and i agreed, to save my family I agreed." Gautam was crying by now, accepting his past mistake in front of his daughter. How to save the two, he was ready to sacrifice his another daughter.

Taani cried, when the truth hit her hard. She didn't knew what she should do? Hate her father for taking such decision or Be thankful to Rey, for saving her though he chose the wrong path too.

"Rey knew about the deal between me & ravi and he was constantly fighting with him to stop this wedding and after his & kria's wedding, we had planned to keep your wedding but Rey was determined that he would never let me ruin your life by getting you marry to ravi's son and I guess that was his way to stop your wedding. He took advantage of Kria's betrayal and married you." Gautam told her. He joined his hands together before her.

"Forgive me, beta. I know what i did is not forgivable, I wanted to save my family.." Gautam cried infront her. Taani turned her face away from her father, she knew he wanted to save her mother & sister but at cost of her.

"And I'm also part of that family.." She shouted, her voice cracked. She felt betrayed, hurt. When she couldn't take it anymore, she rushed out of the room leaving her father behind who was crying, begging for her forgiveness. Taani ignored everything, she wanted to stay alone, and without getting noticed by anyone, she went inside the washroom which was just few steps away.

After some time, She stepped out of the washroom after washing her face. She didn't wanted to ruin his reputation by going missing from their reception party. He had done so much for her so atleast she can do this, in return. Though, she is still confuse about his behavior but now, she knows the real reason behind the marriage so she was sure very soon, she will come to know about his side of story too. Why he wanted to save her? Why he cared if she was getting married to a wrong guy? Why he was so worried? What does he exactly feel for her?

She had so many questions and only he could answer them.

"Wifey-" She was brought back out of reverie by his husky voice, she looked up and found him staring down at her. Surprisingly, she didn't felt angry seeing his cocking smirk, nor felt betrayed or hurt by him.

"Are you okay?" Rey asked her, concern lacing his words as he stare at her blood shot red eyes.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Taani whispered, Rey nodded at her in response, knowing she must have some emotional talks with her father and wouldn't want to share it with him.

"Alright. Where is your father? I didn't saw him anywhere.."

"He left, some important work come up at home so left." She was quick to answer. Rey nodded at her in return. He wrapped his arm around her waist and brought her close to him.

"Waise, you are looking quiet irresistible tonight, if you want we can have some fun together." Rey suggested, he wink at her. Taani rolled her eyes, but couldn't deny the funny sensation in pit of her belly.

"You & your big dirty mouth." Taani mumbled causing him to chuckle at her.

"You are saying as if you don't get all excited down there after listening to my dirty talks." Rey smirked at her, Taani gaped at him. She lowered her gaze knowing he was saying truth. His talks turn her on.

Shrugging her thoughts off, she walked toward hi family along with him.

"Taani, you are looking so beautiful." Purvi squealed like a kid, hugging her. Taani giggled and hugged her back. This time, she was more comfortable than before. Unknown to her, her heart has already accepted his family as hers.
