Chapter 1
The serene silence of dawn was broken by Chachi's shriek when she noticed Nandini wasn't in her room. Where is Nandu? She searched the whole house, still no sign of Nandini. She went to search her on terrace were Nandini was sleeping under the sky with Manik's photo and his dark blue jacket which he had given her in storeroom where they were locked together by Harshad.
Chachi understood that Nandini was crying again and terribly missing Manik which was evident by dried tears and puffy eyes. She left leaving Nandini sleeping peacefully.
Unknown to Chachi, Nandini was awake. It was impossible for her to sleep peacefully anymore.
He's missing. He left me. How can you do this to me? Why aiyappa? Why me? First Ma and Appa then Manik. No. I will not lose hope. I will smile, laugh and be strong in front of others. Give me strength.
She held his jacket closer to her.
Manik tum kaha ho? Agar tum jaldi nahi aaye na then I'll not forgive you.
Aryamaan reached Nandini's house, he knew she was alone and he was trying to help her cope because he was still guilty for all the things he did to her even though she had forgiven him. He couldn't leave her alone knowing her friends were busy with their own problems. He saw her playing with her breakfast with an empty look in her eyes.
A- Arre Nandini. Akele akele nashta kar rahi ho mujhe bulaya bhi nahi. Not cool.
He distracted her enough for her to notice him and was successful in grabbing her attention.
N- Tum yaha itni subhe sab theek hai na? Aryamaan kuch hua kya?
A- Tum itni hyper kyu ho rahi ho bina baat ke? Dude chill, I'm here to pick you up.
N - kaha?
A- Kyu college nahi jaogi? kab tak aise chalega?
N- but..
A- Im not gonna hear anything you are going that's it? Ready ho jao varna aise hi chalna padega.
Nandini had stopped going to college after the incident and rarely left her house. Chacha, Chachi were very worried for her. So when Aryamaan called her, chachi had received his call and asked for his help. He immediately agreed.
A- What will Manik think? Uske gham me tum devdas ban gayi?
N - Like Seriously Devdas. Kuch bhi..
Smiling after a very long time. Nandini was working towards completing her promise- to her aiyappa and most importantly to Manik.
