Just finished watching the Friday episode for the third time. Can't get enough of it.

Hats off to all the contestants !!! Nobody here is qualified enough to find fault with anybody's singing today.

Amanat, the king of ghazals stood out, of course. No words can really do justice to his performance. He was in his familiar territory when singing the first ghazal. It came natural to him. But his second song was out of this world. It was like he was not aware of anything around - just singing his heart and soul out. He was in a state of ecstasy - as if some superior being had taken over - everyone was just spellbound - willing that the magician should go on and on...

Raja was mesmerizing in the first ghazal. But for Amanat's extraordinary sining today, Raja's first ghazal would have been talked about for a long long time. I think it should be bracketed along with the very top performances of the show. Raja's class was again quite obvious in the second song. I think Jagjit's comments were only relative to Raja's own standards. As Pandit Jasraj said - Raja is Raja.

Aneek is way beyond his age. During the second song, I was thinking that he had chosen too simple a song for the semi-classical round. But then came the culmination. And he went on and on in jugalbandi with the orchestra. It was of a very very high standard. I had started thinking low of this guy because of his mentor. I stand corrected and I won't be too sad even if he wins the show now.

Poonam's second song was also top-notch. The girl will be missed a lot. She was one of the best contestants of the show. The ending was very very sad. Her words for ID were very touching. May the light be with you, Poonam.

I just want to mention one name who was sorely missed today -Mussarat. I think he should have got a chance to showcase his talent today in front of the two musical greats.
