Dear Yo Yo Honey Singh, you have blood on your hands for massacring Dheere Dheere Se from Aashiqui

I can't forgive the rapper for destroying every possible melodic memory we have of this epic track
Rahul Roy strumming a guitar. Anu Agarwal in a lovely dress looking all coy. If you were a 90s kid like me then Dheere Dheere Se track from the 1990 blockbuster Aashiqui would be forever etched on you mind and soul. There is no way you could get away from hearing this track back in the day. The album sold a zillion copies, the film went on to become a blockbuster, and every boy in town wanted to flip his hair like Rahul and romance Anu to the tune of this simple yet hauntingly melodic song.
Cut to 2015. Yo Yo Honey Singh decides to give the song his spin and make it current. While the rapper has swag and usually gets his crafty lyrics right, this time he stands guilty of ruining one of my favourite songs from the 90s. I don't think Nadeem Shravan would approve of this either. I mean the video looks neat, more than just neat. It's lavish, shot in Turkey with T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar pumping in loads of money and making sure his leads - Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor look like a zillion bucks (and yes they do!).
My beef is not with the modernisation of the track, but how the basic hook and melody is missing. While Honey Singh's rap is just about okay, the whole song looks more like an advertorial for a product Hrithik and Sonam might endorse and less as a youthful love song that talks about the innocence of a beating heart.
How long before Honey decides to smuggle Nadeem Shravan's entire catalogue (the best music of the 90s) and give it his spin? Dear Honey, stick to the smart rhymes and slick limericks of vodka and bottles and leave the 90s music alone
