Nobody can be absolutely selfless and so Mangala is also not - nobody said she is selfless, but yes a few people are calling her selfish. Anandi gave up Amol - but not instantly - she was not ready to even hear the parents. And when Anandi decided to give up Amol - she did not want to hear Amol - that is also somewhat selfish.
It is yet to be seen what Mangala will do when she gets to know about the girl's biological mother - till then on what basis she is being called selfish? Not giving away the girl to some social worker? What locus standi that social worker has to claim the girl? Or is it that a few people have rights to declare anybody selfish, weak, coward or what not? The allegations against Mangala are not true - and Amol analogy still premature.
