Raman wants to celebrate and ishu running away, understandable, does not want to hurt him, that may be the last thing on her mind with regard to her current situation. She is trying to figure out out, how to tell Raman,trying to buy time, before all hell break loose. Finally she comes upstairs only to be heartbroken, seeing the room decorated and a sleeping husband. Her talk " I'm sorry Raman I cannot give you the happiness and fulfill your desire" was painful. Normal circumstances she would have enjoyed her husband's attention, but the phone call threw her off balance. Puttar receives the call and is heartbroken and feels guilty for giving hopes to her, recollecting their moments at Romis wedding.
For ishu it's not new, yes she's shattered as she was given a ray of hope but short lived. She will feel guilty or better yet insecure, only this times she will be dragging Raman into this whole mess. This will her her even more now. Both are in same situations, as they themselves are trying to accept it, only then, they can console each other. Both are aware that her chances are minimal, but when reality hits it's hard for either of them to digest.

My interpretation of consolation: Ishra in room, both are aware of the situations, looking at each other with tears, just hugging and crying their hearts content. No words no bgm. This will be powerful, sometimes silence is more effective than words. What do u guys think? Do comment.
