I was so happy seeing Khushi stand up to Payal. There are times in life when it's disrespectful to your own self to stay quiet. Payal seemed almost desperate in wanting to get a rise out of Khushi. It was like she was deliberately needling her. Trying to prove to herself that her "perfect image" was just that - an image. More hurtful for Khushi was knowing her own mother was not able to see the love her daughter has for her Arnav. That who she considered "right" was more important. Even now.

Krabs (that's what my Arnav says ergo that's what I say) just comes across as a lovely guy. Feelings can't be switched off just because they're inconvenient. But he's handled himself so well. Been a good friend for his Koo as is evident in their camaraderie. I really liked how Arnav subtly let him know he was aware of his feelings. Without belittling or embarrassing anyone. I hope he is able to help Harshad in sorting out Rithvik's mess. (and sticks around long enough for our G to be successful in her endeavours ...)

Harshad and Khushi's conversation left me teary eyed. A father doing what he thinks is best. Sometimes you don't realise your children have grown up and don't need to be sheltered. It's painful having something he's spent a lifetime building up, disintegrating around him due to the carelessness of the very children you hoped to be securing the future of. I hope the situation is not beyond repair at his practice. And I hope he is able to demonstrate the love he has for Khushi, something which she's always known was there. Her grandfather had clearly been a very astute man. The promise he'd extracted from his grand daughter was as much to keep her connected to her family as it was to take care of his wife and son.

Khushi handled herself so well with an irascible Arnav. She sensed his behaviour was the result of something else. She kept her calm so so well even in the face of such determined incitement. "Hurricane Arnav" was ready to wreak more havoc. Another long night for Khushi yes, but one with a difference to the other ones ... her acute sense of loneliness has eased a little now.

Reading of her state of mind in the past was painful. Hurtful, thoughtless words searing an already open wound. Having people around her but still being alone in her grief.

But her present sense of certitude about her love for Arnav and for her marriage gives me hope that they will be okay. That the bare back he's turned towards her is only because he's being temporarily grouchy. Waiting for him to turn around ...

😲 did I beat choti oops Choti

Jigs with this update hope that your life is back to normal at your place😊

Enjoyed your update Jigs moreso because things are falling in its place😃. Khushi is fighting for her Arnav and is fighting for her right👏

Is this sister for real 😲 😲 😲 But then as they say its better that they spoiled one house only and not two as both Mr and Mrs Payal are alike👎🏼

I loved that kitchen scene where Khushi gave back to payal. It was about time it had the same effect as the one with Alisha. It was a silent slap.👏 👏

But what i loved most was the friendly talk between the koo and kubs😃 It was much required for Khushi. Atleast she met someone who wanted to her to be there. But then

"Nope he wasn't jealous he wasnot"

Really Arnav😆 that was the highlight of that meeting other than Arnav asking him to move on.

Oh when Kabir said about Roshni was Arnav thinking about this song: 😛

"Tere liye hi signal chod chad ke aya dilli wali girlfriend chod chaad ke" 😆 😆

Which category should I put Rithvik into? Can he be considered to be the educated rogue?😕 😕 The guy clearly have no idea of where he is and he is standing and despite him having the lower hand he still wants to fight back👎🏼 Oh I so loved Arnav when he asked him to shut up due to the party and place.

And then the highlight of the update: Father/daughter scene. I am glad Harshad is trying hard and trying best to his ability. The family drama about her elder daughter. My heart went to the father who had to go through trauma due to the failure of his kid. But then Khushi was there to give him his khushi 😃. It also showed us that Khushi knew everything that was happening in Arnav's family but was so blinded with what was happening in her own family. 😒

Sulking/Angry/frustrated young man is back and so is the husband of the wife back. It will be a treat to see how Khushi will pacify him now but as she said She has her HUSBAND so she does not need any one. It will be fun to read your next update😛😉

We witnessed yet another difference today: How different people use their profession to best of their ability. Loved it when you brought that people don't have food to eat whereas we here have a luxury to trash it👎🏼 There are people who can not afford primary health care and here we exploit it name of health👏 . Like Arnav your Kabir too is gem of person😃

And this is so apt for your forgiving Khushi

as is this on her journey

I love the friendship between Khushi and Kabir! They're actually really sweet- and even if Arnav is most definitely not jealous, it was kind of cute to see him watching them at the beginning. I really loved how Khushi reasserted how much she loves Arnav- and how he did the same for her. They were both so firm about their commitment to each other- it was beautiful to see between the two of them, and they made sure people had no reason to doubt their faith in each other in this update. I especially liked Kabir because he knew when to step away- it takes a lot of strength to do that, and not everyone does. But I respect him much, much more for doing so.

I really liked the confrontation between Khushi and Payal- although, I can't say I liked Payal any more than before after that one. I have always loved how every character you write is consistent in how they react to situations, and this was one chapter where that was showcased very well. Payal's reaction to Khushi, Arnav's reaction to Payal and his anger that Khushi won't let him help her, Khushi standing up to Payal without stooping down to her level- all of them were so well portrayed, and there wasn't a single consistency flaw anywhere. With this many characters, it takes a lot to be able to do that, and it's something you pull off week after week with ease.

I loved the scene between Khushi and her father as well. I absolutely loved seeing Harshad take steps towards breaching that distance between his daughter and him. His reluctance to burden his daughter with his problems was such a parent thing to do- but I'm glad they talked. I respect him for owning up to his mistakes- when clearly, not everyone in his family has the capability of doing that. He has integrity, and while I may not agree with how long it has taken him to realize it... he did, and he's making the effort to fix it. I can respect that.

I won't say much on the flashback- not because I didn't like it, but because words for that scene won't do it justice. All I will say is that you really, truly made me feel Khushi's pain- and you did that absolutely beautifully. It was poignant and so damn well written.

You did a phenomenal job with this chapter. There were so many parallel storylines- but not once did I find myself confused or wondering why someone reacted a certain way. You handle them all with ease.

Love always,
Choti.

Res for my SS
----------

Dear SS, please please please do accept my apologies for un-resing so late.. What can I say, its been brutal lately. As I wait for the sands of these mad times settle, I will continue to apologize for this tardiness.

Sometimes the most powerful move in a fight is not striking, but staying silent and opting/choosing to not fight. Silence is a symbol of strength, not weakness. You have shown your Khushi to be the strong, yet a silent one in her family. Having said that, I am glad to see that she stood up to her sister. I am not surprised that she did, you never portrayed her as a wimpy one.

There were many things that stood out to me, in this update. That tension between Arnav and the others in the party. You made his discomfort palpable for us. He didn't fit in (and rightfully so), but was valiant in his efforts to make it work for his Khushi. In that context you showed him as a good husband.

Khushi, who continued to play the dutiful daughter for her father and her grandmother, couldn't have done that without her Khushi's support and here, you showed her with that knowledge. That was a very nuanced portrayal - the slow healing that is taking place between these two battered souls. That she is able to find her friend/lover/husband in Arnav is a testament to that healing and you have done such a fantastic job of writing that transformative process. Kudos!

Now, it was sad to see that conversation between the father and the daughter. But these are relationships that can and are often salvaged. It has everything to do with their natures - after all Khushi is a just a piece off of that Harshad. :) . That estrangement you showed between the father and his daughter tugged at my heart strings. But this is one relationship that is built on the strength of its endurance and support - through tough times. Harshad is caught here between having to take care of his grandchildren (emotional duress) while also enabling Payal and her husband. I see that.

What I don't fully get yet is the mother... I am sure you have your plan and I will wait for you to unveil Khushi's conflicted mother. That must be some story there...

Ah... but there is a whiff of a storm on its way, I expect and anticipate. Yes! between these two protagonists - Khushi and her Arnav ... all is not all hunky-dory. There is a build up to a crescendo and we have been witnessing an escalation in the plot development here (I am speculating here :))... I wonder what you have in store for us.

This is one heck of a story and I am glad that I am able to be a part of it this way... in my own pathetic, shoddy, tardy way. (I apologize again)...

Thank you for writing this.. with love always..

First of all, let me just...

That's for Payal and Rithvik getting there just desserts in the next few chapters. I am so glad the clinic will be headed by Kabir and not these two idiots.

Kabir and Khushi's relationship was heart-warming. He reminds me on NK in IPK. For me NK and Khushi's relationship (hypothetically speaking) is the easy one. They get along great, have the same ideals and make each other happy. The same, I feel, applies to Kabir and Khushi as well. It would have been easy to take the path her parents wanted her to and marry Kabir, but it wouldn't have been right, it wouldn't have been love. And that's why Arnav and Khushi's relationship wins out every time.

Coming to Payal...

She needs to be taught a serious lesson. I hope DM teaches her some humility soon, as well as manner while she's at it. Her words made my blood boil but Khushi's reply made me clap in delight. I so wish she would bring out her claws more often.

The stress of staying with the parents, and the atmosphere is starting to get to ArHi and I do not like it. I hope they make up soon, especially because Khushi did stand up for herself this time, and Arnav has no reason to be upset with Khushi for letting Payal walk all over her.

There was a bitter-sweetness to Khushi and Harshad's talk. While I am glad he's finally seeing the error of his ways and trying to make it up to Khushi, I think the scars left by her unfair childhood and life will always stay with her. A broken mirror can be put together but the cracks will always be there.

As always, lovely chapter and I look forward to the next one.

Nice update with no cliff hangers. Enjoyed reading Kubbs and Kush catching up with not so jealous Arnav in the vicinity. Like how Arnav jumped at the first chance to show his stance on his marital status to Krabs.

Rithvik is real scumbag with no basic manners and Payal and he are match made in heaven. Payal has real venomous tongue and I hope she won't make riot on big day. Love the way Kushi gave back to Payal and I wish Arnav eavesdropped into complete conversation. I guess Mr & Mrs Khurana will be shown doors at office next Thursday. Did Harshad and Avni realize goodness of Arnav after Khurana mess or before?

Really what a day and how the few lone moments with each other got messed up for them. I hope they will have good time following day.

Dad and daughter conversation is heartwarming and welcoming for strong future bond.

Superb update dear :) In your previous update, you left us at the cliffhanger about khushi' best friend kabir entry, i was thinking if their story will take any wrong turn by this new entry but you are so kind jigs😆 loved this super cool jolly guy :) no wonder he loved khushi once, afterall hamari khushi hai hi itni pyari 😊 arnav's thought about that guy made me think once in starting whether he uttered those words but the way his thought turned to a confident n not jealous husband, i confirmed that this friendship is just as harmless as a squirrel :) n no way he can say something like this to khushi :) husshhh i was so relieved :) lol infact as an doctor, kabir's work towards needful gains respect :) the argument between kabir n ritvik told itself ritvik's ill behaviour :(

Khushi's hurt with the turn of event like she is not aware of things happening in her family, its very normal for a daughter to feel that way as if she is not the part of family :( but arnav know how to make things right by diverting her mood..!! Wah wah kya baat hai:) again payal say mean things to khushi, i dont know what is both that husband n wife made up of?? Why cant she just mind her own business?? As expected, its payal who said those words to khushi but i like that khushi takes stand for herself rather than taking this bullshit:) payal's is jealous of khushi from her birth, with her achievements from very start whether its her school, her college, her choice of partner, her career choice !! Oh my gosh.. :( she is so evil 😡 it was so right for arnav to get angry on payal's words but oh how i wish he was there to listen to khushi's back answer:) finally the lioness khushi comes in her full glory, n i so loved it:)

Arnav's anger made me feel good somewhere as in it reflects his immense love for khushi:) loved khushi n harshad convo!! It was good to see daughter n father sharing some moments!! :) finally payal n ritvik's deeds comes in front of khushi by her father!! God, they are untolerable.. They have created enough damage, still have no shame:( That sad flashback take me to the memories of her hurt n pain filled life which is still connected to her in form of not having her own baby but the difference is that time her arnav was not with her but now he is with her in every up n down!! It gives me sense of protection that arnav will not let any problem or harm come to her..!! :) if they are together, then everything's gonna be fine, infact super fine:) beautiful update jigs:)

Thanks for the pm:)

Jigs, thank you for giving us this wonderful update even in your busy schedule.

Every update, this story, its characters, the plot, all seem to be becoming a part of my life more and more, and sometimes I even forget that this is just fiction and try to analyse each character and their behaviours.

But you know Jigs, if we think about it, this is just not a story, we can find a Khushi or Arnav or a Payal or a Harshad right in our own families and we too have faced situations similar to what Arnav and Khushi or other characters are facing.

For me this update was about further revelations of characters and their natures, their fears, their weaknesses and strenghts and their regrets and losses.

Kabir is indeed a very good guy. A person who can spend his precious time with orphan kids and for their betterment and who feels for their pain is not an ordinary guy. He is truly a gem of a man and the fact that even though Khushi did not love him back as he loved her, yet he only wants happiness for her and is truly happy that Khushi found someone like Arnav in her life shows his good nature further.

And now he is here to even help Harshad with the clinic and helping the clinic build back its name it once had.

I can even understand the friendship between Khushi and Kabir and how they both might have hit on as friends with their similar natures and outlook towards life.

Payal - LIfe is not fair for most of the people, but that does not mean you bitch about it and you bitch about people responsible directly or indirectly for it. Real fighters take everything life throws at them in their stride and look for opportunities to better their lives.

Khushi did the same thing. She never got a loving mom or a caring dad or an affectionate sibling. Yet she rejoiced and bloomed in the care of her grandparents, worked hard to build a better life for herself and though she never got a loving family yet instead of developing bitterness within herself, she turned out to be a caring person.

Outer beauty is something not in anyone's hands but developing inner beauty is completely in our hands. Payal could have consciously made herself into a better person, but unfortunately she chose the wrong path in life.

And both Payal and Rithvik are pathetic losers. Thinking of making money through gambling itself shows what a low life Rithvik is.

Apart from the Harshad and Khushi bonding on the update, the other scene I loved was Arnav stopping Rithvik from insulting Kabir, Irrespective of the feelings Kabir harboured for his wife long ago, Arnav respected Kabir for the man he is. For me that shows Arnav's gentleman nature and I loved him for that.

I wish Kabir moves on and finds a nice girl to share his life with.

As many of the readers are predicting, will Kabir be instrumental in Arshi adopting a child from the orphanage? Also will Khushi help in the cases against her father's clinic?

I keep thinking what would happen to Payal and her family if Rithvik's medical practice license gets revoked? Were will they go???

Loved the father daughter bonding and happy that it happened even though it was a bit late.

Avni still thinking that Khushi would have been better off with Kabir than Arnav, its disgusts me that she still thinks that even after a decade.

And Jigs the teaser was in the flashback and so relieved with that revelation.

Now waiting to see what further drama will unfold on the day of the function.

And just like Khushi me too want to be a fly on the wall when Rithvik will be officially kicked out of the family clinic. 😉
