Saif wants Kareena in Agent Vinod
Saif Ali Khan wants to cast Kareena Kapoor opposite him in his home production, the desi Bond flick, Agent Vinod. This despite the fact that the director Sriram Raghavan has scripted the film with two leading ladies in mind, one Indian and another, a foreigner. For the Indian girl's part, Deepika Padukone has already been finalized.
Confirming this, Sriram says, "Yes it is true we had set out to make the film with an Indian and a foreign actress. We have a few names in mind but we haven't signed any body yet. I cannot comment about Kareena's inclusion or changes being made in the script of Agent Vinod to accommodate her. It is too early for all this. Saif wants a final script ready before we set out to do the casting. Once I am done I will be in the right position to talk about it."

Meanwhile, our Bollywood sources inform, "Sriram is busy re-scripting Agent Vinod on Saif's insistence because he is extremely keen on having Kareena on board. The maker had initial apprehensions having already completed the script with no role for Kareena in it. But it's the Chote Nawaab's home production after all and Sriram's first lavish break having done two medium budgeted thrillers, Ek Hasina Thi (with Saif in a negative role for the first time) and his soon to release, Johnny Gaddar. So he has no other option but to squeeze in Kareena in a big substantial role even if that means reducing Deepika Padukone's role."
The source adds, "Saif and Bebo hit off well during Tashan's Ladakh schedule. Their fondness grew in the next schedule in Jaisalmer so much so that it led to a reported break up between Kareena and her boyfriend, Shahid Kapur. Saif would obviously want to spend as much time with the Kapoor Khandaan girl as possible. With Saif's next film to begin after Tashan's completion and Kunal Kohli's yet untitled next with Rani Mukherji, he would like to have his new found affection by his side as much as possible."
