Athiya Shetty, the newest kid on the block, is a bundle of nerves as the release date of Hero is fast nearing. In an interview to one of the leading dailies, Athiya Shetty said that being a star kid is really tough. According to her, though you get platform and visibility, you also get criticised for the smallest of things.

Athiya admits to have felt a little bogged down by the pressure exerted by the industry wallahs and also masses on star kids like her. She says,"Being a star kid is tough. You get the platform and the visibility but you also get criticised for the littlest of things. People pinpoint these things, criticise it deeply and rip you apart because you are a star kid. They feel you should know everything before coming into the industry."

She also further rubbishes the usual pre-conceived notions people harbour about the star kids.She states that being successful in the film industry is not easy for star kids. "We have to work equally hard. We have to work harder at times because you have a father and mother at home who are actors and are very successful and you want to match up to their expectations and what people expect you to be."

We wonder why Athiya is so apprehensive about her future in the tinsel town despite having a mentor likeSalman Khan who is doing everything to ensure that she and her co-star Sooraj Pancholi have the perfect debut! We wish Athiya takes a chill-pill and stops fretting about her film that releases on September 11

All these star kids especially ugly ones without any talent really should know , no one would even look at you twice forget taking u as a lead if it wasn't for ur mommy and daddy. So quit crying about the pressure and thank ur lucky stars everyday for being born in Bollywood family!!

The comparison with a famous parent(s) is present in every field. Though it is harder for non filmy kids but you have to work really hard, express well, dance well to make your mark in this industry.

Yeah it must be sooo hard having a movie offer served on a platter. It must be sooo difficult having one of the most known stars of the country backing you up. Oh the struggles...😭

Just yesterday someone was wondering why no one was talking about Athiya. Well, Athiya herself took care of that little problem now didn't she? 😆

Star kids complaining about their "struggles" is quite annoying for me as a mere audience member. I can't imagine how aggravating it must be for outsiders who really are struggling. In her case both her and her father have been open about the fact the she got the offer before even having had a meeting with Salman. This is almost as bad as the other one admitting he got the movie as a birthday gift, almost.
