Part 12

" I know that it will be really difficult for all of you to believe me. In fact even I could not believe that I have fallen for Khushi, the girl whom I once hated. But ever since I saw tears in her eyes due to me, something in me wanted to see happiness in her face due to me. And yesterday after listening to her words to Mumma, my feelings found their name as that of love.

I know that by just one mistake of mine Khushi's whole life got changed. And I know that the society in which we live will not question me, but will kill her from inside with their taunts and questions, which will be an obstacle to pursue the career which she dreamed of.

"Once again, I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart, Khushi. I know that your anger is very justified. But I promise you that I will give you all the luxuries and happiness that you deserve. I will never stop you from doing anything and I will make your every desire, every dream and even every pain my own. You may not believe me Khushi, but one day you will. Because Jeeyenge Toh Aapke Liye Aur Agar Marna Bhi Padhe Toh Aapke Khatir. " Arnav said while looking Khushi with true love and concern, while she was not even looking at him, owing to the hatred present in her for him.

While on the other hand, Garima who already wanted the marriage to turn real, felt assured that she didn't take a wrong decision.

" Garimaji, I wanted to ask you something. Can Chotte live with all of you till the time we convince Maaji?" asked Arunima, thoughtfully.

Seeing at the growing confusion on everyone's faces, Arunima continued,

" In this way, convincing her will be a easier task, and even you all will be able to test CHotte if you want, especially Khushi."

" Nahi..." Khushi whispered almost instantaneously after Arunima completed her statement, while Garima's silent glare stopped her from continuing it.

" Yeah sure, why not. After all, Arnav is family now." said Garima, while moving to Arnav and kissing his forehead with affection while it burned Khushi from inside.

" He destroyed my life and with just one statement of his, Mumma is loving him. Love, my foot. This is a new way to play with my life and satisfy his ego." thought Khushi, while shedding invisible and silent tears of anguish and agony.

--FLASHBACK ENDS--

" Now you only tell me, what to do Renuka Aunty? I clearly don't want this marriage and it is unwanted for me. What do I do in this situation where literally everyone is on his side?" asked Khushi, resting her head in her palm while Lavanya held her shoulder assuring her, of her support.

" Khushi Beta, you are like my daughter and I would definitely not want anything wrong for you. But even from your words, which were clearly showing hatred for Arnav, I could feel that his feelings are for real and not unfeigned. Why don't you give a chance to this marriage, Beta?" asked Renuka, while looking at Khushi affectionately, though she knew that this decision was definitely not easy for Khushi.

But it surely takes guts to say things against society and that too in front of ones parents. It also needs courage to accept your love in front of two families even after knowing that the person you love, hates you.

And that's what convinced Renuka that Arnav was genuinely in love with Khushi.

" Mumma, even you are..." started off Lavanya, who was disappointed with the advice her mom was giving.

" Maybe you are right, Aunty. I will surely give it a try from my side too." said Khushi, shocking both Lavanya and Renuka, who believed that Khushi will never agree to it so easily.

"That's great, Beta. But if you need any help, you can always come to me or Lavanya, without any hesitation." said Renuka, still looking at Khushi suspiciously.

Khushi bid Renuka bye and started wearing her sandals when Lavanya stopped her.

" Khushi, what are you doing? Just because everyone is saying something, it doesn't mean it is the right thing. Please don't become the abla naari which you never wanted to be and bend down in front of taunts and comments of this society." Lavanya who knew Khushi right from the childhood knew that it was against the heartfelt wishes of Khushi.

" You really think I will give this marriage a chance, Lav? If yes, then I am sorry to disappoint you. This so-called marriage means nothing to me and whatever I said to Aunty was just to postpone the debates and discussions which would follow. All elders will say the same thing, husband is the god and marriage is the most sacred institution, which can never be a joke, because our society never looked beyond this.

I will not be a victim of this stupid belief, Lav. Never. I know what I am doing but I need you help, Lav." said Khushi, with strong and determined voice.

" You will always have my support in whatever you do, Khushi." assured Lavanya, while holding Khushi's hands in hers, gently.

" Thanks a lot, Lav. Mr.Chotte, it is the time for payback." Khushi spat out while her eyes blazed with pain and anger.

Gupta Mansion,

" Aunt...I mean Sasu Ma..I mean Auntyji..." started stuttering Arnav after seeing the varied expressions on Garima's face with his different ways of addressing.

" Let me decide on one thing. Umm...I will call you Sasu-Aunty, because abhi Sasumaa banne main Khushi ki 'haan' ki kammi hai." said Arnav, while giving a exquisite smile to Garima, with whom he began to bond like his own mother, in his mother's absence.

" Enjoy Mr.Arnav Singh Raizada, because soon you will have to leave all this. So enjoy as much as you can in these few days you have to live with us and after that you will meet us only in your memories." thought Khushi, while she fumed in both jealousy and anger.

What was Khushi's plan?

Arnav realised his feelings and is ready to give their relation a chance.But but but...Khushi is so adamant, ok she has her own thoughts candidate views about this whole thing but atleast giving him a chance is not bad option.
