Maan kept his eyes focused. He would not let this opportunity go coz he had planned everything for the day. He stayed away for one long year but the moment he met Geet he realized he was wrong. He did not care wat the future holds for him but right now all tat mattered was his Geet and if it means to go against his own words he would do it. He closed his eyes for few seconds and then raised his head and focused on the road and tats when he saw the car and next moment he was driving so fast tat probably made him to shiver with the reminder of his destruction but then this was not the time to think anything else. He just kept driving and almost knocked the car coming towards him and if not the driver in the other then there had to be collision.

Jaan. Maan was too fast for Geet to even realize wat just happened and before she could understand she was being pulled out of the car and hauled into a hard body. You ok..did you get hurt.

Geet baby. The driver was out and was shocked to see Maan. Aap. He tried to clear his mind first and then stepped closer. Please let go Geet Baby.. aap yeh theek nahi kar rahe hain.

He knew tat Mohinder had given orders but since last few days after his first meeting he had been keeping an eye on the Handa House and knew tat this time Geet was to be travelling for office. With this Maan walked holding Geet by her waist but the moment she was settled inside his car she realized wat just happened.

He closed his eyes just by hearing the word and in fear tat she would break down but nothing came and wat surprised him was her words. Pata hain kitne accidents hote hain aise rash driving se.

Don't you remember our accident Jaan? Geet smiled sadly at him. Don't you remember what we lost?

I remember. His heart ached and he feared coz there was nothing tat showed Geet remembered anything. Mera naam Geet hain Maan. She smiled at him copying him she too cupped his face. And I don't like anyone calling me anything else. Pata hain Vicky bhi mujhe ajeeb naam se call karta hain and I hate it so please call me Geet and now drive me to my office. Bahut kaam hain.

Hmm. He did not say anything else coz he feared tat he would break down in front of her and would start crying. All he did was concentrate on the road and try to reach the place as fast as possible. He was sure tat Geet's driver would inform Mohinder about him but he did not care and just drove fast taking different roads so tat if the driver was following he would miss him.

Maan why are we here? Geet asked as she studied the surroundings. Maan why are we..

Dr. Sareen. Geet eyes popped out hearing the name. Tell her Maan Singh Khuranna's here. The nurse nodded who just stepped out of the Doctor's cabin.

Dr. Sareen. Geet murmured the name. Yeh tho pagalo ki doctor.. na I mean psychiatrist hain na. Why are we here Maan?

So tat I know wats wrong with you. Geet just gaped at him. She for few seconds did not get wat he meant. The way you are behaving... there's something wrong and I want to know wat it is?

Main pagal hoon kya? She asked with a pinch of anger in her words. Do you think tat I have lost my mind haan?

No. Maan cupped her face trying to get some warmth from her. But I think there's something wrong. Please Jaan just for me.. just for me meet Dr. Sareen once. Geet tried to deny but then the nurse came and told them tat Dr. Sareen was waiting and without wasting time Maan grabbed Geet's hand and pulled her inside.

Mr. Khuranna. The doctor smiled. She was his Dadima's friend's DIL and so Maan was relieved coz nothing would go out. Their accident had become big news and so was their separation for long and now he wanted to keep everything away from the media. How are you Geet? Geet smiled at the doctor taking the chair next to Maan. Wats wrong? The doctor asked seeing Geet a bit angry.

He thinks I have lost my mind.. main pagal hoon. Dr. Sareen smiled but she knew tat Maan was serious and the way he had described about Geet's state she too feared something was wrong so she asked him to get her. I really don't think he has his own brains now..kuch bhi kehte hain.

Let's forget about him. Geet smiled hearing tat and teased Maan who just smiled sadly. Tell me wats going in your life. Ghar kab wapas jaa rahi ho?

She remembered the minute details of the accident but she did not say a word about wat happened when she was dragged out of the KM, wat happened in the car and the baby, nothing about the accusations and the pain she went through days finally to be thrown out of the KM by her own husband.

Pata hain. The doctor shook her head. Sometimes I can't sleep.. I feel like my head will burst anytime but then Maa makes me sleep by singing my favorite lullaby.

Geet don't you think you have lost something precious in tat accident? Geet stared at the doctor in confusion. Something very precious tat you'll miss for life.

Sachi. The doctor nodded and giving her a smile Geet walked out but not before warning Maan tat she was getting late for office.

Its not normal. Maan knew it but hearing from a professional was something different and it killed him. I don't know how to explain the case but its like memory loss but there is no memory loss in real.

I don't get you Doctor. Maan's heart was sinking. He feared tat he was unable to breathe. He had to take in deep breadths so control him. Wats wrong with Geet?

Sometime people suffer from amnesia Maan where they force their brains to block certain part of their life... as in something tat would hurt and give pain but in Geet's case her brain and mind have worked together forcing her mind to block the past one year. Her mind refuses to let it out. It's not tat Geet does not remember, she very well knows but her mind does not let her reach tat part where she would hurt herself. So you can its like amnesia but here there's no memory loss but the pain and hurt is locked inside her brain to keep her away from pain and hurt and its dangerous. Its very dangerous coz this is leading her into a world of darkness and depression yet there are no signs of it... its all complicated Maan.

How can I help her? I can't bear to see her like this Doctor. Maan felt tears burn his eyes. Every damn thing tat he felt upon meeting Geet had come true and now he just wanted to kill himself but tat was not in his hands. He wanted Geet to punish him. Tat day when I saw her first after one year.. she was quite happy.. talking to the kids... I don't know may be..

Then it might be tat your presence forced her heart and mind to work together and block her from reminding the painful truth. Maan just stared at the doctor. Did you ask about her condition to her parents? It might just help us to know wat actually triggered this. Maan did not know wat to say coz he hadn't spoken to any Handa's after the accident. Maan nodded and though the doctor could not exactly tell him the reason he too felt tat may be he was the reason for this condition. And in this case Maan you might not be able to help her. The more you try to force her remember about the baby and the pain she will retreat herself into this fake happy life and there will be a time when she can lose her memory... its like a time bomb Maan and even can burst. We can't help and in Geet's case its only her who will help herself.

Only time. Dr. Sareen said with a sad smile. We can't force her brain nor we can force her to talk about the baby and loss coz it can have reverse reaction. Maan listened to the doctor carefully. And all you can do is just wait and you might find it shocking but she'll do things tat will shock you and the rest but don't fool yourself Maan coz its not her but her heart and mind tat are working against her now... They think tat Geet had enough and anymore pain, she would die so you see its like a reflex action to save her from the pain and hurt and there's her wish in it too.. she's also working towards the same and running away from the pain and hurt.

So you say all I have to wait is for time? The doctor nodded. Even if it's years.

Yes.. but you never know something tat's very important in yours and her life would force her to break.. something tat she feels is breaking you and her apart finally... so all I say is wait for time and do not force anything on her Maan.. you might damage her more. The time tat was snatching away something he already lost but he still had a hope tat she was his and would forgive him one day and come back but now all he could see was losing Geet forever and ever.

He walked out lifeless. All he could hear was doctor's words that she was on the edge, tat she was living a fake life even though she remembers everything. There was no memory loss but this was far dangerous from memory loss coz you knew everything yet you don't want to acknowledge it. All his life he had wished for someone who would love him and when he met Geet in college he knew she was the one he was waiting for. The one who would love and keep him sane from his family's power and richness but wat he did. He destroyed her coz of some selfish reasons, the lies tat he was fed and finally he did wat his parents wanted. He destroyed the one thing he kept safe near to his heart and was living a fake like just like his parents, a show off life to the world with money and power but in real he had nothing coz he was the poorest of the poor in the world.

Wait na... Maan aate... dekho he's here. Maan stopped seeing Geet smile at him and he just kept staring. It was the same angelic face tat he had seen years before when she had bumped into him on the college premises. Maan... kaha the.. you know I have been waiting for you.

He did not seem to hear a word she was saying and just kept looking at her. It was his favorite pastime. He would often hide himself and stare at her in college. He would bunk classes just to look at her smiling face. He had gone from mad to crazy and finally when he could not take it more he had gone down on his knees and proposed her in front of her friends and his but least did he expect was for her to cry like a kid. He smiled sweetly remembering the moment of his life.

Maan.. aap sun rahe ho.. where were you? Do you know the nurse was asking me so awful questions.. she was asking me how much sex we have and tat. does someone questions like this.. Maan... Nahi Vicky. Maan eyes blinked. Maan's gone crazy but he thinks m the one crazy.. pata nahi kuch bhi kehte aur karte hain. Geet frowned and then pouted seeing Vicky smile at her. Tum jaisa smart kyu nahi hain Maan haan.

Vicky. Maan finally was out of his reverie when he saw a hand reach his Jaan's face and caress her face. He felt a sudden rage and jealousy tat he never ever felt in his life but then he saw hi Jaan smile at him.

Haan Vicky.. you know I had a day planned out with him but you spoilt.. aapne kitna time waste kiya.. I just had to go and sign some papers in office and then Vicky and I would have had our day but na.. you spoilt it and I hate you for tat. Something died inside him coz even after the accident she had not said she hated him but today she probably said it for the first time and he realized tat he would not bear it but he deserved it coz he gave her worst.

Are you ok Maan? Maan just nodded his head. Maan.. you seriously look lost.. are you fine?

When did you come to Delhi Vicky? Maan ignored his words. He knew Vicky was Geet's best friend and he had even come down for their wedding with his parents. Its been long..after our wedding you did not even show up once.

Reason hi nahi tha. Vicky smiled wrapping an arm around Geet's waist and she willingly rested her head on his shoulder. But there's one now. Maan just stared at them. He never felt any type of jealousy like the one he was feeling now. He knew how close they both were but seeing his love his wife leaning like tat and seeking someone else's warmth nearly killed him. So you see I had to come down.

How did you know we were here? Maan heard him questioning.

Yaar Geet ke driver ne HH call kiya tha after he failed to reach Mohinder uncle and luckily it was me who picked the call and then wat I called Geet and she told me where she was.

You stay at HH? Vicky nodded with a grin. And you reached so fast here.

Yaar yeh jagah jyada dur nahi hain and I used some shortcut.. fast driver ho main Khuranna.'

You know Maan Geet looked so excited and happy Vicky's here for a big holiday.. hum dono na.. we'll have so much of fun and I strictly told him no hotel or anything.. itna bada ghar hain so why should he stay somewhere else.. right.

Anyways wat did Dr. Sareen say?

Nothing.. you are perfectly alright.. I was just fussing about. He did not want to share anything coz right now all he wanted was to be alone and think about Vicky's arrival but somehow he felt he knew why he was here. Mohinder's words rang in his ears and he closed his eyes for a moment. He had never known Mohinder Handa would do as he said but right now seeing Vicky he knew he was the one whom Mohinder choose for his Geet and somewhere deep he felt good coz he knew Vicky was a good man. He would keep his Geet happy coz when he had met him first all he said tat Geet's happiness meant everything to him and tats when Maan understood why she had cried when he had proposed her. He had ran after her tat day and when he saw her crying sitting under a tree he slowly walked up to her and murmured a sorry but then she sobbed louder saying tat she too loved him but she did not tell her Vicky about her secret love and all he did was laugh but soon realized wat Geet and Vicky shared was beyond his understanding coz even miles away they shared every single moment of their life.

So can I go now.

Hmm. He smiled at her and then looked at Vicky who stared at him as if he was searching something in his face. Take care of yourself.

Aap bhi. She smiled and then turned to Vicky. Chale. Vicky nodded and then holding her hands they walked away from Maan even without giving him a second look and it hurt, it badly hurt Maan coz all he could see was his Jaan going away from him leaving him all alone in his world of redeeming love.
