A lot of women-centric films now do really well the box office. With this, heroines can now command a remuneration they deserve. All thanks to this trend,Kangana Ranaut has become the highest paid actress in Bollywood beating her contemporaries Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone in the race.

The Queen actress has apparently got a pay cheque of Rs 11 crore for her last film which is more than Dippy and PC. While the Piku actress gets anywhere between Rs 8 - 9 crore per film, Ms Chopra gets Rs 7 - 8 crore approximately for a film. Priyanka had spoken about the huge disparity in the remuneration for male and female actors in Bollywood. The Exotic babe had said, "male actors do get paid a lot more. There is a tremendous disparity in remuneration between male and female actors. The remuneration difference is insane as the disparity is big. I feel we have strong female performers, and the day female-oriented films do well at the box office it will lead to it (change in remuneration of female actors). "I think we will be able to command a remuneration that we deserve... It will be a slow and steady thing but it will happen."
