This show includes characters following Dharma. Let's try to understand Dharma.
Sanatan Dharma is the right word. It is a code of ethics, a way of living through which one may achieve moksha (enlightenment, liberation).
It is defined by the quest for cosmic truth, just as the quest for physical truth defines science. Its earliest record is the Rigveda, which is the record of ancient sages who by whatever means tried to learn the truth about the universe, in relations to Man's place in relation to the cosmos. They saw nature " including all living and non-living things " as part of the same cosmic equation, and as pervaded by a higher consciousness.
During their higher state of meditation ancient great Rishis heard the eternal truths of religion and left a record of them for the benefit of posterity. Smriti is a recollection of that experience.
Shruti means what is heard, and Smriti means what is remembered.
Shruti is revelation and Smriti is tradition.
Shruti never becomes obsolete but a part of Smriti may become obsolete and require modification or amendment.
Srutis are the four Vedas, Rig, Sama, Yajur and Atharva Vedas and 108 Upanishads.
Smriti is the shruti that is remembered and understood. Science, medicine, art, etc.
Smriti indicates our traditions revealed by Shruti. All the Vedas & Upanishads are difficult to understand for everyone. Hence their Scholars interpreted them for easy understanding. But while doing so these interpretations were influenced by the surrounding, thought pattern etc.
So understaning of Dharma, that we have today is not in its original form. It may be poluted, currupted by the interpreter's state of understanding.
If his pov is regressive, his preaching is going to be the same. Thousands of people believe such ideas as an ultimate truth & start following them without understanding.
Hence learning, understandingthese scriptures in their original form, implementing them in our day to day life can only help in not falling in trap laid by some people holding high position in important places.
Dharma also means "duty". It helps in maintaning an order in family, society, country etc.
Everyone's duty is different. Dharma's application depends on place, surrounding, state of people. Their progress depends on how best each one performs their duty.
Wrong application can result in a stagnant society, where one section fluorishes & other is deprived of basic needs.
