because you're in it and your life is better because I'm in it."

RKB in full throttle alpha male mode...Every good story needs a powerful antagonist(s) to balance the conflict. YHM started with a clear line of conflict between Raman and Ashok over the latter's affair with Shagun and Shagun deserting him and Ruhi. Their conflict was as electrifying as the IshraRu story was because Ashok was always there to create hurdles of all kinds, especially some that played with Raman's insecurity, his impulsive nature. He was the original villain. Then came Param and Suraj. Then somehow they got lost in the Wedding fiasco and Sauten saga..where Ashok was literally turned into a comic relief. That led to Raman looking like a side character too because the conflicted shifted to from Raman v Ashok and Ishita v Shagun to just Ishita v Shagun. After months finally we see in this track the return of original Ashok and inevitably RKB was back too...he was the impulsive guy giving into Ashok's mindgame at the party ...then his love for Ishita triumphed over his fear of losing Ishita...And today we saw the man, who is fiercely protective of his wife beat Ashok at his own game without a fleck of stigma being attached to Ishita's name. Shagun's Raman had witnessed helplessly Ashok stealing his family from under him...Ishita's Raman planned and beat Ashok in his own game even before he realized he was being played...What a significant scene..where the guy who always lost his calm and lunged for Ashok...stayed calm and knocked him out without throwing a single punch. I loved that scene...!

YHM was always about Ishita and Raman understanding each other's thought process even when they used to fight like crazy. That had gone missing too..and was replaced by empty promises of trusting and being open to each other ..only to be broken in the very next episode. Today the whole conversation between IshRa after his return home and ssshing a frantic Ishita down and talking to her clearly...like a couple should have..and him reiterating the part about their promise of being open to each other and knowing from her face that she's trying to hide something from him. He also little hint that he listened to her advice about maintaining his cool and controlling his impulse. How cute was that conversation and then the followup banter about her being rendered speechless and boy it was good to see Biwi challenging hubby to silence her mouth 😉 something which he was more than eager to accept..Ishralicious !

And now that the line of couplehood is crossed, romance is in full bloom...and Puttar doesn't care anymore who sees him romancing his wife!😉 ...But Haddi and Ishra that a constant story...and today it was Ruhi...who saw her parents for the first time in an intimate embrace...What followed was a hilarious situation with a kid's innocent question and her parents stammering reactions..It was funny to watch Raman's effort of trying to teach his daughter about 'birds and bees' and Ishita making a hasty retreat with her daughter as obviously a 7 year old probably is better off thinking hugs and prayers brings babies in mom's tummies.
Loved :
- touching family moments indicating scars are healing and soon Bhallas will be together again
- Scary pre-cap..yes it was gut wrenching to watch Raman being beaten ruthlessly and Ishita caught between trying to make sure he's ok and trying to get him help...Perfect precap to whet audience appetite to tune in.
Overall a satisfying day in YHM land
Notes:
- The acting again was at the supreme level...with Sangram, Karan, Divyanka, Ruhaanika at their usual best..Rest of the ensemble cast was bang on!
- Wishing speedy recovery for Karan who got three stitches because of injury during fight sequence
Sorry I will not be able to participate in the convo today as I cant stare at the screen too long. Since no one took my offer of opening the post..I opened this. Please carry the discussion, gushing...I'll peep in occasionally.
