There is a lot diff between the show and film

1) The characters ... Rk is a very sorted guy , pleasant personality ...

Padmini is vibrant , who is then reduced to a mere shadow of her former self

Shammi K the grandfather of Padmini was a powerful and learned persn , rooted in traditions

2) The love story ... Rishi and Padmini were friends right from childhood ...Rishi always loved Padimi ,,but stayed away due the diff in status

When she became a widow , his aim was not get her for himself ..but to brighten her life and bring bck the smile on her face ( In show as per promos , the guy is more interested in getting her for himself )

But its a guresome movie with some scenes that made shudder ...

I have seen it only once and that all I could handle

the songs of the film r very famous
