"Betiya apne pati ya pita ke sath bahar jati hain, pati tera hain nahi aur pita ke sath jane ki teri umrah nahi rahi"

**I totally disagree this dialogue on personal level in our generation, we can't even think like that.

BUT I liked the dialogue the way her mother told her, it was so perfect on her situation at that time.

Anyone else liked it?

As the story is happening pre independence times, it is perfectly acceptable.

Even today there are houses where girls are restricted in many ways compared to boys.

Since the story is based in pre independence times, so the dialogue was according to that period. In those times majority of ppl had such thinking.
