Hey everyone! I can't believe this has actually happened, This thread has also crossed 100 pages.đ„ł. I mean this was fast! I opened this thread less than 2 weeks ago and it's already past 100 pages. I seriously don't know how to thank you all anymore. It's all so much to take in. 100 pages of encouragement, appreciation, criticism, suggestions and lots of love! đ€ I only know how to thank you all but giving update which I will do today like I do everyday!
And today the update is special as well since it will be 50 updates today! Let me tell you all something honestly, I thought this story would end in 15-20 updates or even less if I didn't get readers and this Mumbai trip, I had planned out as a 3-4 update trip which has now extended to 30+ updates! All because you all have loved this so much. I had gotten a request, more like order for this to be a romantic update, but since I left the last one a bit suspenseful, this one wasn't as romantic as chapter 49, but I tried to add in some moments and I hope you all like this 50th update like you have liked the previous 49...
She couldn't believe he was here. Maybe it was just someone else and she got confused with him. She ignored him and looked for Raman when she saw him walking towards her. She looked at him as he waved to her and waved back excitedly. The shocked look and smile she had as she saw him when walking out of the store grew wider as she was sure it was him. She quickly walked to him as her excitement knew no bounds...
Ruhi spotted Ishita and tried to reach out to her only to be held tightly by Raman. When being kept from her mother who kept on walking away, Ruhi started to cry in her dad's arms. Trying to stop Ruhi from reaching out too far and falling, he got up rocking Ruhi and looked to where she was reaching out for. He looked over and was left shocked.
Ishita...his madrasan was there hugging another man. She had her arms around him tightly as the amn hugged her back in the middle of the mall. He looked again to make sure it was here and it was no one else. He felt a pang in his heart as she broke the hug happily talking to the man and the man held her hands laughing along. He walked closer and something evoked in him that he wanted her to let go of his hand. He was the one whose hand she held as she walked into the mall then why was she holding this man's hands? As he stood behind her with a calmer Ruhi, he heard her exclaim happily to this man...
"Oh my God Mani! I missed you so much! Gosh I can't believe you're here!"
She missed him so much! Who was this man and why was he giving his madrasan a hug again?! He didn't like this sight in front of him anymore at all. He had stopped himself from interrupting and being rude as he saw Ishita laughing so happily and care free like never before, but now he didn't care about how happy this Mani made her, he didn't like his closeness with Ishita. So he tapped her shoulder and got her attention...
"Umm excuse me...Ishita..."
"Raman..." she looked at him as she turned around and looked at Ruhi's red face wiping off her tears.
"Ruhi was crying because she saw you walking away." He tried to explain how he saw her and handed Ruhi to her as Ishita cuddled her repeatedly telling her she was there. Raman kept staring at the tall man who wasn't thin, he noticed as he glared at him with his arms crossed. As Ruhi started to smile again, Ishita looked up to notice the awkwardness between the two men and began to introduce them to each other...
"Raman meet him, my best friend Mani, but you might know him as Abhimanyu Raghav, one of the biggest businessmen in our country."
Abhimanyu forwarded his hand for a hand shake while Raman stared at him while shaking his hand. He realized the hand he was shaking was that very hand that held Ishita and it made him mad would be an understatement. He looked at the man and back at Ishita as if trying to figure out if this man was one of her cousins or relative, then while figuring out who this man was, he remembered...
"Abhimanyu Raghav...Abhimanyu...wait I just signed a deal with your company 2 days ago! But I've never seen you...you weren't there for the actual signing."
"So you're Raman Bhalla. PSR? I know you, actually I was abroad for some important work so wasn't there to deal with your company. Anyways my team works with the smaller companies and talk to me afterwards."
Very few things made Raman Bhalla mad and talking about his company was one. He knew how hard he had worked to get his dad's business to the point it was today and such words hurt him. Seeing his anger and knowing what is work was and seeing his obvious offence taken on Mani's words, Ishita stepped in to defend her husband...
"Raman doesn't have a small company...it's a multinational company! He is known in America, Austraila, England, and many other European and Asian countries as well!"
She held his hand and looked at him with a smile while he was surprised as she was talking so highly of him in front of her best friend and it gave him an inner happiness knowing she was there by his side when it came to her friends.
"Well, I guess it is. But I never knew that you were friends with Mr. Bhalla here. When did this happen?" Mani wondered looking at their hands.
"I'm not friends with him! Okay let me do this again properly this time. Mani meet him Raman Bhalla and now meet me, Ishita Raman Bhalla and here is my daughter Ruhi."
Ishita Raman Bhalla... did she just call herself that proudly to her best friend? He smiled widely at her grabbing her waist bringing her closer to which was smiled back at him and looked at her friend as she presented her small happy family to him. But right now he was not his concern, he was frozen at how she introduced herself. It was the first time his name had been attached to her. He always wished for his wife to have his name with hers, but Shagun never wanted to that way. She was always Shagun Arora for the world, but Ishita had chosen to add Raman Bhalla to her name and that too with a sense of pride. She did such simple things and gave him all the happiness he had ever wished for. He continued to look at her until her friend spoke up again...
"Woah wait hold up, I go out for 2 months and you get married behind me and you have a daughter now as well?!"
"I'll you all about it! Why don't you join us for a coffee? Is that fine Raman?" he looked at him and he couldn't ever say no to her. He didn't really like this friend of hers. He was like those people who you meet and instantly know you two can be anything but friends, but since he was her best friend...
"Of course why not?"
As Mani lead the way to a nearby coffee shop, Ishita followed him with Ruhi in her arms as she talked to the infant happily while she got frantic hand waves back. And last but not least Raman went behind them and caught up with Ishita whose hand he held tightly which surprised her at first until she saw his stares to Mani's back with made her wonder was this a spark of jealousy she saw in him. She remembered what Mihika had said about Raman not letting her in the room last night and now his behaviour was screaming out possessiveness and she found herself laughing at his state in her head, but also once again thanking God for a man like him who was possessive yet sweet in her heart...

They were all seated in a corner of a coffee shop on Raman's request to keep her away from the crowds. He sulked in the corner seat quietly for a few minutes as she held Ruhi and chatted merrily with Mani about her life changing in 2 months. He could only smile when she smiled or had a shy look which only he caught a glimpse of as she would glance at him while talking, but that smile would vanish as she would turn back to Mani and start laughing with him which pricked him deep inside that it was going to only be them and Ruhi laughing together until that Shani fell from the skies randomly or so he imagined. The only time he really spoke up was when the waiter came by to fetch their orders...
"Now Ishita no coffee, the doctor has said no. Pick something else."
"Please..." she pouted and looked at him with a sad puppy look on her face.
"Ishita!"
"Raman, it's not me the baby wants it!" she looked at him with anticipation holding her stomach while he shook his head at her silliness, but gave in to her...
"Really?! Now if baby wants, we can compromise. Go ahead, but a small one."
"Ishu, have a bigger one. A treat once in a while is ok." Mani interrupted their conversation making Raman smack his hand on the table while Ishita held in her laughter and decided to tease Raman a bit...
"You're right Mani, but explain this to Raman. He never lets me do anything fun."
That one sentence of hers pricked his heart. She thought he was all strictness and no fun. He never wanted to make her feel caged and was only caring for her. He didn't know she didn't like it and if she had told him once, he would have stopped. Why did she tell this man? He tried to best the best he could for her, but she never told him what she wanted or needed, so he thought he was going in the right way by doing all this.
He felt horrible as she talked to Mani so openly and shared what she liked & disliked. He didn't like her telling Mani that about what he did and didn't do. He unknowingly found himself comparing her to Shagun. She had never introduced herself as a Bhalla like Ishita and which brought happiness to him, but on the other hand Ishita's words were hurting him.
Shagun would complain to her friends that Raman did this and didn't do this. She would continuously talk about the things he didn't buy for her and how he was in general to all her friends, but he never felt bad. He would easily change the topic or joke around the whole thing, but he just couldn't do it with Ishita's words. They affected him and hurt him. He wanted her to think of him as a good husband, not someone who restricted her or always imposed his decisions on her. And to hide his hurt, he tried to defend himself...
"Really?! Then who eats that huge jar full of treats at midnight, and all those bags of chips and popcorn?"
"You share with me!"
"Now you will say Ruhi also eats it as well!"
"Raman! Fine I'll have a medium one. How's that?"
"Whatever! I am too strict right? So now I won't say anything. Just take care of the baby... and yourself." He muttered the last little bit.
He looked away angrily as he was too upset by Ishita supporting Mani while Mani ordered. While the whole time Ishita wanted to hug that giant teddy of hers. He was so cute when he was angry and he was such a soft hearted person just like a teddy. She wish she could just hug him and pinch his cheeks right now. But before she could say or do anything, Mani spoke up again...
"Raman say whatever you want. But you're lucky to have Ishu. She will give up on coffee if you ask her too. She can do anything for people so close to her."
Raman finally found one good thing about this Mani. He knew Ishita well and said the perfect things about her. She was the kind to compromise anything for people special to her and she had told him the same, but talking about the negatives of it when she talked about Subbu. He looked over at her and found so much affection in them for him. She gave him a faint smile as if telling him Mani's words were true. She would give up on anything if he asked her to. And now he didn't care if anyone was watching.
He took her hand into his and entangled their fingers together before placing a kiss on her knuckles.
"That I am." He looked at her and gave a quick wink.
She looked at him scolding him with her eyes telling him of the people around while no matter what she couldn't stop blushing and couldn't look at his eyes any longer.
As they shared their small moment in front of Mani unknowingly, he chuckled at the couple in front of him watching their romance which he found childlike and funny. Ruhi who sat on Ishita's lap saw the new uncle laughing in front of her. She gave him a glare and then reached over for his fascinating phone knocking over his coffee on him in the process. He got up screaming about the coffee while Ruhi clapped her hands laughing while Raman looked at his happy daughter and held his laughter helping Mani. As Ruhi's latest target went off to the bathroom to clean up after himself, Raman pulled the cheeks of his daughter...
"My best bacha!" he laughed with his daughter while Ishita looked on confused and Raman indirectly told her...
"See my sweet baby supports me!"
"Bhaa...bhaa..." Ruhi gurgled agreeing with him making Raman give her a hi-5 while Ishita laughed at her daughter and her biggest child who was currently going through a phase of adorable jealously.
"But some people don't understand how awesome your Papa is." He looked at Ishita as he complained about her to Ruhi like a small child...
"See they laugh with others, but then laugh at your Papa." Ishita stopped her laughter thinking she was taking this little jealousy too far since Raman wasn't liking this at all now and could be hurt by her behaviour, so she decided to put an end to his anger with a little teasing...
"What happened Raman?" she pretended to be unaware of what was going on...
"Nothing." He looked away from her and tapped his coffee cup.
"Something is off with you, what is it? Did I do something? Or do you not like Mani?"
"No! Not at all, you really his company...then why won't I like him?"
"Raman...what's going on?"
"Nothing really..."
"I saw those stares poor Mani got from you. Why?" she held in her laughter looking at him seriosuly as if pitying Mani.
"Poor Mani?! That Shani deserved it. He was hugging you just like I do. And he holds your hand like I do. He can't do that, you're my wife!" he declared to her angrily.
"Murugan! Raman...you are so cute!" She hugged him from the side as Ruhi tried to jump in her spot looking at her parents.
"Cute?! First you call me thin and now cute?! And I'm sure you find that Mani is fit and hot now?"
"Offo Raman, the jealous bug has really gotten you. Such a cute pati I've gotten!" she pinched his cheeks as he brushed off her hands irritated at being called cute, but faintly smiled as she burst out laughing holding her stomach laughing just like she had been with Mani before.
"I told you, when I have a wife like you I need to be a bit careful."
"But why Raman? Why do you need to be so careful? Why are you jealous of my friends? Why am I so important to you?"
"Ishita..."
