Mystery behind Rishi Mathur?

I just keep wondering many times that there is some or the other mystery behind this Rishi Mathur.

The name "Rishi Mathur" is quite a bit famous in banaras amongst everyone...but obviously in a bad way. No one seems to like him or often address as a fraud. What was his connection with GC...or Dev...kuch toh tha that they hate him so much...is it just because he married Sneha...or there is some other mystery behind it...

I somehow feel the whole mystery about the past of Rishi Mathur has not been revealed yet...any guesses what it could be ?

Even I wonder the same whether anything drastic happened in the past that GC & dev hate him so much apart from their marriage.😲

May be they were two friends who loved Sneha. But as Rishi was very poor he could never express his love for Sneha. But Dev knew the weakness of him for Sneha. So he hated Rishi all the time.
But I have another doubt...why GN thinks Rishi wanted his money? Just because he was orphan and poor , that doesn't mean he will want his money. If he thinks that is the reason then ...OMG! What an uncultured GN is! But I think may be Rishi used to work for GN or may be Rishi's parents. Most probably that is the reason why entire Banaras calls him "Ghapla Singh". He stole the daughter of that guy who helped him to survive. Or else what is the problem with these Banaras people that they insult Rishi this way? He married Sneha---so what?
But the reaction from rich people like Mr. Dubeyji is different. They asked GN ------So you've forgave your daughter, that's nice. So may be it is GN's problem. Pride of money etc.
I don't want to see Sneha and Dev's love story. But if they show how and why Rishi got involved in this scenario ----------that will be helpful. So far what I understood is Sneha is not a woman who can take care of herself. She is always a escapist. May be Rishi taught her to be a woman .
But yes-----------all depends on CVs. We can just watch and enjoy.
