Virika OS: Feeling More

This one was requested by Millee, after Virika's oh-so-beautiful performance to Mar Jaiyan

Viren was quite content to lounge in his armchair comfortably, watching his wife removing her jewellery by the mirror. They were both slightly tired, but extremely happy after the day's events leading up to Virat and Manvi's wedding. So many preparations had to be done, yet...Viren thought to himself smugly, that hadn't deterred him from seeking opportune moments to romance his lovely wife.
Jeevika had now managed to get a strand of hair caught in her earring and was struggling to remove it. "You'd think," he began lazily, "All that jewellery is too heavy and confining for a woman's comfort."
She replied sweetly, "All the better to look pretty for our husbands."
Viren raised his eyebrows, a wide smile spreading over his face. He got up and approached Jeevika from behind, gently removing the cumbersome earring. "I'm sure some husbands would argue the fact that so much jewellery makes it much more difficult for us to remove."
Jeevika blushed becomingly as he left her earrings on the dresser and worked on the clasp of her necklace. He glanced at her reflection in the mirror and smiled, "You looked beautiful tonight. Especially in this lehenga."
"You bought it for me, didn't you?"
"That's why I like it," he grinned.
The clasp of the necklace proved unexpectedly tricky. He carefully swept her long hair to the side and quickly became exasperated at the tiny thing that was near impossible to undo. "How in the world did you manage to put this on in the first place?"
"I bit it," she tried to stifle a smile at the look of surprise on his face, "Women's trade secret."
Well, there was only one thing for it then. He unhooked the miniscule latch and caught the thin chain with his teeth. He felt Jeevika's jolt of surprise and he smiled mischievously against her back. The metal tasted awful, but the trick did work. "Clearly not a secret anymore," he murmured in satisfaction. Her skin was sweet.
She pulled away the necklace, "Now, just the tikka," she gestured to the headpiece. He used his current position to his advantage, pressing a light kiss to the nape of her neck, before removing the tikka. He could see her expression in the mirror, looking just as he knew she would. Warmth suffusing her cheeks and her eyes large and knowing. She knew what he was up to and she would make haste to escape as soon as she could, he could tell.
The tikka was a much simpler management and Jeevika quickly put that away and moved aside. But, it seemed fate was in Viren's hands that day, for as she took that step away, her bangles snagged on the sleeve of his kurta. He looked quite pleased with himself, "As you can see, Mrs. Vadhera, it's not so easy to rid yourself of me."
She was caught and both knew it.
"Virenji, it's getting very late and we should go to sleep," she told him. Not much of an argument. As soon as he'd seen her getting dressed for the function, all he could think of was how he could try to romance her. And his plans had already been halted once by an apologetic Dabbu. Not again.
He tugged his arm forward, pulling her to him, "Precisely. Which is why I should remove my sleeve from your bangles."
She raised her hand to do the job herself, but he couldn't resist pulling her an extra inch closer, so that every word he spoke fell upon her lips like a kiss. "You know how beautiful you looked tonight?"
"I thought I always look beautiful to you," she said defiantly. At that, his fingers closed over her wrist and she let out a sharp breath.
"You do, you always look beautiful," he murmured, his touch gentle as he pulled each bangle slowly and painstakingly over her wrist, but his voice a low growl, "Every day, every night. I can never get enough of you. It was practically torture today to perform with you. Every touch of my hand to yours, pulling you close to dance with, your body against mine, but not too close, feeling the soft skin of your arms, smelling that perfume of yours that would wreak havoc upon any man's mind, do you know what that did to me?"
Her breaths were coming in quick, harsh gasps. No matter what she did to him, he could always evoke the same reactions out of her.
"Every moment, every second, I had to remind myself we had an audience," the bangles slipped over her wrist, thudding to the carpet. He let them fall.
"It's Virat and Manvi's wedding coming up, not ours," she managed to say, a weak protest.
"No, and thank God for that," he agreed, "Otherwise I'd have to wait till then to do this." His fingers entangled with hers and he brought her slim hand to his lips. Though it wasn't a chaste kiss by any means, all heat and passion laced over her wrist, replacing the cold finish of the bangles. It tensed her entire body, sending a wave of tiny shivers. Was it possible to shiver from heat? She'd never thought so before they'd gotten married. Loving him had managed to awake all sorts of sensations within her that had lain dormant, almost non-existent. And no matter how long they'd been married, those same sensations came to life every time.
"What are you thinking of?" his nose nudged her neck.
She involuntarily arched to one side, "You."
"Well, I would expect you to, at a moment like this," his teasing voice brought her back to earth.
She pressed her hands to his chest, barely holding him back, his arms wrapped so tightly around her waist, it was as though he thought she might fall. His eyes were dark, very dark, giving hint to all manner of decadent thoughts he'd been courting in his mind. But, she wanted to tell him, first, "I was thinking about...before you...I never thought I could be like this, feel like this."
"Like what?" It wasn't as though he didn't know, but he wanted, no, needed her to say it.
Heat imbued her skin, "Like I'm falling, but there's no ground. Like I'm caught, suspended in some dream, but there's no awakening. I didn't, I never thought love was this. I never knew I could love like this. But if anything, I don't feel not like myself."
He waited, pulse racing, fighting for dominance over himself. "Then how?"
She whispered, the words fluttering over his lips like gossamer wings, "More. I feel more."
His mouth crushed over hers, his hands framing her face gentle and restrained, while his lips were not. He wanted her to feel more.
Clothes became too restricting, too heavy, too hot. She was still shivering.
He pulled away for a moment, leaning his head against hers, "There. I told you, didn't I? Ek gehna was missing?" he kissed her again, this time nothing more than a sweet brush, "I found it." His finger traced her lips, soft and red like rose petals. Roses were too perfect, too lush. They simply demanded to be caressed and pressed against, he thought.
"You can wear all the jewellery you want," he smiled at her, "but, you don't look any more beautiful than you do just after I've kissed you." No, there was nothing more beguiling than his Jeevika, with her hair tousled, lips swollen, cheeks flushed and eyes like stormy clouds. And he did that. Only he could make her feel more.
How he revelled in that knowledge.
Before he kissed her again, though, she pulled out of his reach and hastened to the bathroom before he could catch her again.
The problem with feeling more, he thought to himself ruefully, was that you tended to want more too.
He could try opening the door, he mused, though it was highly unlikely Jeevika would leave it unlocked. Especially after leaving him in such a state.
Oh well, there would be no escaping him once she came out, at any rate. He made use of his time, removing his current clothes and getting out his night kurta and trousers. Then at a thought, he grinned to himself, leaving the kurta on the bed, but pulling on the trousers.
Jeevika peeked her head out of the washroom warily, but found no sight of Viren. She smiled to herself; he must have gone to get a glass of milk or something. That left her enough time to sneak under the covers and feign sleep.
However, when she approached the bed, she noticed something a little strange. There were Viren's clothes that he'd worn for Virat and Manvi's sangeet. But, so was his night kurta...
The realization dawned upon her just as soon as she felt Viren's hands at her waist, inching mischievously to the belt of her night robe. She jumped up on the bed, laughing, throwing a pillow at him, which he dodged. He grabbed her arms and pulled her to him and she fell on him, still amused.
That probably wasn't at all how he planned this, she thought, still giggling. He'd probably expected her to be entranced. Instead she told him, "You're such a child!"
He looked to be at a cross between amused and annoyed, "What?"
"Virenji, these antics of yours will never end," she couldn't stop laughing at the petulant look upon his face.
He decided to take matters into his own hands. He flipped her over easily, bracing his arms on either side of her, "No, they won't."
At this vantage point, she was decidedly more subdued. Viren had a lean, very masculine, very athletic body. It wasn't something to be ignored, especially when it was hovering right over her, radiating heat and want. And he knew it too.
She wasn't quite distracted out of her senses yet, though, "Virenji, there are still a lot of preparations to be done before the wedding and we have to wake up early..." her voice trailed off as her thoughts took a more somber tone. Yes, it was only a matter of days till the wedding. The same number of days it would take for her to leave Viren. Forever. There would be no more feeling more. No more dealing with his antics. No more love. No more him.
"Jeevika?"
She couldn't let him know what she was thinking.
"We have to wake up early," she repeated, sternly, though her eyes drifted down to his lips all the same. No matter what her mind told her, her body would always react differently, she thought almost crossly.
He caught that momentary glance and leaned lower, letting his bare chest brush against hers tantalizingly. He said lazily, "So, we do."
"And it's already late."
He kissed her cheek sweetly, "Quite."
"And...and...we need to sleep!" she couldn't think straight, especially when his mouth had busied itself with her neck and his fingers with her thin belt.
"We will," he grinned maddeningly.
But before she could protest any more, he looked at her, really looked at her and said simply, "I love you."
The words were bittersweet to her. Was this to be the last time she heard him say so? They also caught her by surprise and she had a sudden intake of breath, wavering between acquiescence and denial. He said it with such sincerity, such love.
The one piece she was missing, he had told her. It wasn't the passion of his kisses, but the strength of his love for her, she knew. That was what made her most beautiful.
Being loved by him.
Feeling more.
