Dance plus is only one episode in and from what I have watched so far, this show is like a breath of fresh air in the mucky dirty marsh of idiotic reality shows.
That being said, I do recognize that there are a lot of things that has the potential of ruining the show. The first and foremost is of course the chief nemesis of every wonderful show that has ever been made on Indian Television. The dreaded TRP! That thing that finally makes creatives lose their mind and turn their shows into utter crap. So I for one want to contribute as much as I can to this TRP so that they don't have to include the absolutely not essential drama, emotional attyachar and cheap dirty comedy that is a part of another dance reality show. I want this show to be the way it is. Light hearted, casual, energetic and vibrant.
Also I have been hearing that there will be some new celebrity hosts who will Co host with Raghav. Gauhar Khan has apparently been roped in. But why!!! Come on. Give Raghav a chance. For a novice in hosting the guy did an exemplary and superb job compared to many other hosts. He has a natural sense of humor and does not resort to vulgarity for laughs. In other words HE IS AWESOME! But now you are bringing in what's her face who is already a very much established host. And you are pairing her up with Raghav. Am I the only one who thinks this will bog him down? Make him retreat to create space for Ms. I am better than thou. Give him a chance. Atleast let him create a foothold in this hosting thing and then the creatives can think of roping in the extras. As a dance plus viewer, I personally want only Raghav, the superb dancer as my host.
This show's anthem is for the dancers, by the dancers, of the dancers. Not reality show stars or actors who can also luckily shake their booties without looking ridiculous.
Keep it simple Dance plus! Because if there is one thing missing from Indian Television at the moment it is simple.
