Jamai Raja is about a young gentleman falling love with a girl and wanting her to get all the happiness that she desired, Roshni yearned for many things though she had a mom is never feel loved by her because her mom DD worked very hard to achieve the all what she had in life, DD was a fighter who despised middle class persons at first she was mistaken as being a clod hearted person who just love money but later we all found out DD was not born this way she was made this way by all the bad that had befallen her
Sid had now returned from London and on the flight he met a woman later whom spoke badly about middle class persons, he not liking her talks decided to play a middle class person though he was a rich person and irate her throughout the flight, immediately DD began disliking him as he was annoying and poor...
That same day as Sid arrived after meeting DD he overheard a simple conversation between a girl and a woman, he overheard how it was her birthday and she was unhappy, now Sid could not see this happen as he was a wonderful person who did not want her to waste her one special day being unhappy so he thought of changing it for her, he entered her car and told her his luggage was stolen , she began to chase after the said car only for him to stop her from driving as he wanted to buy candy floss. Roshni was totally pissed as because he had made her a fool, she got out of the car and started arguing with him while he collected the candy floss and gave her one wishing her a happy birthday, that was the very first meeting of SidNi it was simple but magical...
Sid returning to India made him starting to work in his dad company, he wanted to make his parents proud as they always did so much for him it was time for the son to make them happy, but the manager at the company was a greedy fellow, he wanted to steal the land from the poor and lied saying he bought it from them, Sid believed him while one of the buildings that he lied about buying was Roshni NGO, a place where she loved deeply... So one day she saw a notice of Siddharth Khurana claiming the building as his and he was about to demolish it, Roshni was annoyed as this once again proved her views right about rich people as they only cared for themselves and were selfish because he wanted to take the children home forcefully...Roshni disliked them also because of her mother behavior towards her , her mom DD only cared about work and making money that she never once cared for her daughter ...So Roshni decided to fight Mr Khurana and not allow him to take the land, As the war between them had started they began to meet each other by running into each other and each time he would annoy her and she would get angry at first it was to help her get rid of her hiccups, the other time was to catch her from falling and them again she met him as he had to attend an important meeting only the traffic was too much so he bought a bicycle and saw her wanting a drop to court...this was a very special meeting between them as at the end of it he finally got to know her name, it was clearly shown that Siddharth was falling in love with Roshni...
As the war went on Siddharth was frustrated as Roshni had blocked his claim of wanting the land, this made his upset because he wanted this deal to go through, he wanted his parents to be proud so his father took him to the beach so he can think about his problem, Roshni and the kids were at the beach that same day and she thought of why he looked so sad, she decided to cheer him up as he always cheered her up when they met and after that she asked him for his name but he promised her the next time they meet he will give her name...The war was getting nowhere between Roshni and Siddharth Khurana so he decided to meet her face to face and talk about the matter, the manager did not like this one bit as he knew he was about to get caught and he devised a plan to attack Roshni with some goons and they were almost successful but the kids arrived and saved her, there again she was about to fall only to be caught by Sid, now she was angry as she wanted to know why he was there, he lied and said he worked for the Khurana's and his name was Siddharth Kukreja ...she didn't want to believe him but as she remembered their previous meetings he appeared poor...so she believed him
Siddharth was furious at the manager, he fired him but the manager again sent the goons to destroy the kids home , Siddharth managed to save them on time and Roshni and him became friends, they were supposed to go out for coffee the next day but DD had received an proposal for Roshni to marry Krish Metha, his father was a very rich man and DD wanted her daughter to have a successful life so she thought this marriage was best for her, the only problem was Roshni disliked rich people and DD knew that very well so she faked being sick and then pretended as she was a changed person whom wanted to spend time with her daughter, so they went to a resort for a vacation at the same time Roshni tried to call Sid but his phone got damage and he did not know her number...
Siddharth disguised himself as a travel agent and went to Roshni home to get information on her whereabouts, he learnt that she had gone on a vacation with her mom and he decided to join her and confess his feelings for her ...At the resort DD organized ROshni to meet Krish whom Roshni disliked since from the starting, Sid arrived and saw that Roshni disliked Krish and he helped her escape from spending time with Krish... Siddharth then decided to see if Roshni loved him so he left the resort making Roshni cry as he missed him and felt bad that they had argued, her Nani helped her realized that she loved Siddharth but the problem is Nani thought Roshni was talking about Krish so she told DD how Roshni was in love with Krish, while Roshni rushed to stop Sid from leaving in which she cried and told him she loved him, it was a very emotional scene...
DD arranged for a surprised engagement while on the other hand Roshni wanted to surprise her mom with Siddharth, DD flew in the entire family for the engagement and everything was set, Roshni arrived and then Krish propose shocking Roshni who got angry and insulted DD and Krish, they had an argument and she left the venue...Again the family menbers wanted someone to fill the gap between DD and Roshni
Sid saw her crying and a bench and she told him what had happened, he promised her they will get marry and she will get a mom and a dad that love her
Roshni aunt enters as she came to fix the recent argument the duo while Roshni tell her about Siddharth and him being middle class, Roshni meets Sid Parents and they accept her while DD get to know her daughter is in love with a middle class boy, she put on an act that she will accept the boy and invites him for a puja...At the puja all are praying as Sid enters and goes straight to the temple...when the lights come on Sid and DD come face to face as he realizes she is Roshni mom, well DD already disliked him because of their previous meetings...So she devises a plan in making it look like Sid and his parents were after Rsohni money, at Sid and Roshni engagement DD framed Sid family and Roshni broke off the engagement ...Until Mona Roshni aunt realized DD was behind all this brought the truth infront of Roshni, in which she left her mom house and went to Siddharth's house to start the wedding preparations.
DD was not liking it and she tired throughout all the rituals to break them apart but Sid and Roshni got through all the hurdles...On the wedding Day Krish tried to kidnap Sid and dressed like the groom so he would marry Roshni but Sid over powered him and got married to Roshni...them the couple went to DD home to seek her blessings but she insulted Sid thus Roshni wanted to leave but Sid wanted to stay, so she went away leaving him by her mother house...they spent their first night married apart
Sid was then arrested for assaulting Krish and DD paid his bail in which he had to become her ghar jamai and move in with Roshni, As the couple began to live by her house, she continued to try to tear them apart by doing numerous things but always their loved prevailed over all...Sid wanted Roshni and her mom to put the hate behind each other but it was very difficult as every time DD would insult him Roshni would insult her mom..
We had a new entry of a girl name Pratima and DD took her for Sid mistress as she had notice on numerous occasions how they behaved together, so she made another plan to reveal Sid affair to Roshni...but on the day of the exposure when he was looking guilty in front of all Roshni stood by him as she already knew the truth that Pratima was her uncle Bablu wife...
Then we saw another entry of Mona daughter Sam and her husband Rajveer...the other jamai of the family it was later shown how Rajveer was after DD money and he started working his plan to win it over...first he made false tax officers come and claim millions from DD when Sid had arrived to them the truth of the officers being fake, they had already paid the money...and so Rajveer continue with all his plans and he knew Sid would always protect DD so one day he ate chicken and placed the bone in the Patel house, all of them are vegetarians so Siddharth got blamed for the chicken, Roshni could not bare to see her husband insult once more so she borrowed money from Rajveer and paid off DD for the bail Sid owed her and she moved out with Sid...This left DD in a distraught mood and Sid was angry on Roshni as he wanted to work hard and pay the money not take the easy way out...So he convinced her to come back at her mom house much to Rajveer dismay.
At the same time this was happening in his in laws home, his parents had another secret. His mom had a daughter from a previous marriage and finally after searching for her they found her...she was bad though, she did not like them on bit...
Roshni and her mom relationship was getting better as one day there was a train explosion and Sid was on the train, DD could not see her daughter in dismay so helped her look for Siddharth, this was the first time we saw them show such emotions towards eachother...DD also started to show a little more care for Siddharth as she started to trust him...Rajveer on the other hand DD had started to keep at a distance because he failed her in numerous occasions...Rajveer was not liking this and for that he devised a major plan...After sometime Sid got to know that Rajveer was the evil soul in the house and he started his plan to make everyone see how bad he was...On the other hand Kritika Siddharth sister hated Roshni because Simran shared a mother and daughter bond with her...So one evening she got drunk and was about to kill Roshni with her car but instead she hit one of the NGO kids...Roshni was rushed to the hospital and she wanted to culprit to be punished
The police found out it was Kritika and they went to arrest her telling Simran DD wanted Kritika to be arrested, Simran saw how once more because of DD her children will suffer...So she told Sid the truth that Kritika was his sister, he now took Kritika over to the Patel and asked Roshni to forgive her...she did just that
Kritika would soon find a boyfriend and she would get pregnant, Simran will plan her daughter wedding though Raj nor Sid never met the groom, at the same time Rajverr secretly divorce Sam and Sid kept failing miserable in making everyone see how bad Rajveer is...On the day of Kritika wedding it was DD birthday also and she wanted Sid and Roshni to marry again this time she would give them her blessings...Rajveer threatened Sid about his sister marriage and Sid rushed to the venue,Sid was looking all over for Rajveer as the groom arrived and he got a big shock as he saw the groom that Kritika was marrying was Rajveer...Sid was against the wedding while some goons arrived and kidnapped Rajveer telling Simran how DD sent them to kidnap him...Kritika decided since her groom went missing she should kill herself hence she slit her wrist . Everyone rushes her to the hospital and the doctor informs them of the baby dying, Simran had enough as she thought DD was behind this all so she decided to do something so awful that DD will suffer...
Simran then transferred all of DD property in her name and while everyone was waiting for Sid to arrive for his and Roshni remarriage..Simran came and told them all that she is rich, Sid is rich and they are now poor. She put them out of their home and all hated and despise the Khurana family especially Roshni as she was married to a lie all this time...Sid arrived and saw what his mother had done he was not ready to let his love escape so he went to her and there she confronted him and told him she does not know him anymore...As the days went on Sid tried numerous time for Roshni to forgive him but she was not able to overcome the deceit so she and her mom decided for her to leave without informing Sid...and hence she left Sid and India
6 months later Sid still searched for her but he never found her, he was obsess with her that he had her pictures all over his room and he used to talk to it...Until finally he found out she was in Bangkok, so he went there to win her back...In Bangkok Roshni had started working for her childhood friend Yash who loved her but she did not notice, Sid searched all over Bangkok for her but he did not meet her , he met Yash and they both discussed about the girl they loved which was actually the same girl..
One day Roshni caught a taxi and Sid entered the same taxi their eyes met and it was an emotional reunion still Roshni did not forgive him...So Sid decided to harm himself and Roshni saw on news, she came back to India and went to his bedside stating she still loved him...Everyone arrived at the hospital and DD wanted her daughter to leave from Sid...they learnt that he did accident and once again Roshni feels lied too...She saw how her mother was suffering finically so she decided to stay in India and Yash also followed her and decided to stay in India...
Roshni was beginning to show a soft side for Sid when he saved her Nani from some goons attack, she called him to meet him and them she saw the goons at his workplace collecting money so she mistook the situation again and gave him divorce papers...Yash proposed to Roshni and she accepted even though she loved Sid..While on the other hand his mom tricked him into signing divorce papers
On the day of Yash and Roshni wedding Sid made a grand entry and remarried her... much to everyone annoyance, them all her family members went to visit her aunt while she was to join them but got sick, Sid arrived to help her and she got drunk and they got intimate, the morning after they finally made up and wanted to spend their lives with eachother..Sid left her to get ready and then Yash arrived, she argued with Yash saying Sid was her love them she got a video with Sid and his sister, talking how he would trap Roshni...once again she felt betrayed even though the video was fake, she did not know that...she went to his home and accused him of just wanting to sleep with her...This was the last straw for him as he got very angry and went with her to get divorce...as they had gotten intimate just 1 day ago the judge gave them 3months together and if still they wanted divorce after the 3 months well it will be granted
At first they argues a lot but thanks to problems Kritika and Rajveer try to create it just brought them closer, until even Roshni started suspecting Rajveer as her cousin Sam and Rajveer ex wife was kidnapped by an old pervert which was all Rajveer plan, Sid and Roshni saved her in time and Rajveer was almost caught so he decided to ditch all of them and kill Kritika Roshni suspected him and followed him and he kidnapped her and held her at gunpoint Sid and DD arrived and DD shot Rajveer in self-defense... Kritika arrived just as DD shot Rajveer and she told the police to arrest DD...the trial was a go, all thought DD would be found guilty but Kritika took back her complaint and DD wss freed...Sam was now turning mental so Roshni and Sid arranged for Yash and Sam to marry...Nani gave Roshni letters that Sid had wrote to her every day for the six months when they were apart and Roshni finally understood how much he loved her, so she wanted to stay with him...Simran and Kritika on the other hand disliked ROshni so they told Sid to divorce Roshni and DD will get her property back...DD was living in debt and Sid gave in to his mother demands and divorced Roshni...she still did not give up on him as she took on the job as his Beeji caretaker in order to seduce him...We then saw the entry of Roshni Day who faked an accident with DD as she thought she hit him with her car and he lost his memory so she and Sid took him to her home...Later it was revealed to all that DD had a son that died and because of that her husband and her left...The entire family disliked Shiv but Sid was determine to make them whole again...Roshni and Mona forgave Shiv but DD was still against him...At the same time Kritika and Simran brought back Sid childhood friend Misha to make her separate Sid and Roshni , at first she look like she would helped them but them she helped Roshni and Sid get back together while DD finally fogave Shiv and got remarried...
Misha and her boyfriend Neil went out to dinner with Roshni and Siddharth only for some goons to attack them taking Misha in an abandon building and physically assaulted her , now because of the trauma her mind blocked out most of the painful stuff and she now only knows Sid and trust him...It was shown that all that was fake and Misha is a crazy psycho chippant who is obsess with Sid and wants him for herself so she planned at that physical assault drama just so she can have Sid...On the day of Sid and Roshni engagement Misha did a next drama making Roshni ask Sid to engage Misha at first he did not want to but he decided after she threatened to jump off a building...At the same time Shiv was being held captive by Misha as he found out she was crazy and he escaped...He arrived at venue and made his way through to Roshni room, he told her the truth but it was revealed that the girl was not Roshni but Misha, she then killed him...and asked her goons them to get rid of the body
Misha and Sid finally got engaged but Sid declared his love for Roshni while DD found Shiv dead body in pool...The search was on to find killer because they got an earring from the body, Misha afraid to be caught decided to frame Kritika for the murder...finally when she was caught everyone though all was well until Sid believed that his sister was innocent, so he and Roshni was still on the hunt to find real killer also they wanted Kritika to get free of charges, DD saw this as just a lie for Sid to save his sister so she disowned her daughter as she was helping Sid...
Finally Sid and Roshni saved Kritika and DD declared she was Sid enemy from now on, while Misha is now preparing for wedding.
He is the charming and handsome hero of our show...He is a hotelier...he is always shown fun loving and a promising person who can do anything to bring smile on the faces of his loved once..he believes in passing through the bad face by keeping a smile on it's face and being strong...he loves Roshni more than anything in this world...loves bickering with his sasumom..he considers roshni's family as his own...right now his life is facing some up's and down's as he and roshni got divorced due to few reasons and now trying to mend there relationship at any cause
She is a well-educated, kind-hearted girl who never depend on others and always take decisions what her heart wishes. She is also a straight-forward, transparent and bold personality. She can go to any extent for her love, she never had a second thought when it comes to her love. Initially she was slightly immatured, got angry often but now she is well-matured in all aspects and the best female lead of Indian television.
She is Mrs.DD Patel and her name says is a lot...although her character had gone through many positive changes as the show had passed...life had been very much cruel to her as she lost so many relations in past which made her a cold hearted yet strong woman...she loves her daughter roshni a lot but because of her past she was never be able to express her love to roshni which lead there relation on a sour path but as Siddharth came in there life he brought both mother daughter close to each other and now they can do anything for each other
She is one of the sweetest mom and mom-in-law of daily soaps. She lost her brain in the middle time of show since she got back her long-lost daughter and brain-washed by her constantly against SidNi and Patels. Now she got a clear view about things and changed back to her own sweet avtar.
Kritika is Simran's ex-husband's child and she lost her when she was 3 years old child. Since she lost her mom in childhood itself, she was grown up as a spilt brat and didn't understood abt the true value of relatioships, love and all. So, she is always against SidNi's luv and willing to seperate them. But now she understood abt Siddharth, Roshni as well as the value of relationships in life and turned very good character.
He is Roshni's chachu as well as DD's brother-in-law. But he do all his works like DD's own brother and never knows to go against DD's words. His dialogue, "DD ki aashirvaad se" is very famous all over. He is a full support to DD in all aspects and obeys her words like God's words. But most of his actions and words express comic scene and gives funny aspects.
His character was just for time being in the show...his journey started with him pretending to be going through memory loss and later it was revealed that he was acting because he was none other than Durga Patel's husband and was the reason of her dark and painful past...he knew he was wrong but as he wanted his family back he tried hard and with the help of Siddharth he was able to win back his wife and daughter...things were passing smoothly until he came across the truth of misha, Siddharth's childhood friend who is crazy for him, and just because he may create hurdles in misha's evil plan he was killed brutally by misha to make her way clear
He is one of the sweetest and amazing character of the show...He is playing the role of Siddharth's dad and is loved the everyone for his positive role in the show...He considers roshni as his own daughter and loves her more than Siddharth...his bond with nani maa is shown very nicely...he is always shown supporting SidNi in all the right decisions they take for themselves and we also had witnessed an angry Raj Khurana when Siddharth and Roshni were divorced
She marked her entry in show as Siddharth's childhood best friend who left him about 8 years ago...she was brought in the story by Sid's mother and sister who wanted to kick roshni out of Sid's life...at first misha was shown very positive who tried to bring SidNi close but it revealed later that how evil she is as she is obsessed with Siddharth and is crazily in love him...she planned her own fake rape drama and snatched sid from roshni by playing her cards...she is the most irritating character of show right now but the good news is that her character is nearing it's end so more psycho in our show
Rajveer was Samairas husband .He married her to snatch away DDs property. He was very cunning, selfish and rude.Rajveer claimed to be a rich and successful businessman to gain DDs sympathy. He arranged a fake tax raid and looted two crore from DD. On the same time Rajveer got suspicious about Sid real identity and began to enquire about it.He divorced Samaira in order to marry a pregnant Kritika.With Kritikas help he brainwashed Simran against Roshni and planned to snatch away the Khuranas property. He trapped Sid with Kritikas help and produced a mms to separate Roshni and Sid. Through this mms he succeeded in casting doubts in Roshnis mind against Sid.In his greed he even tried to sell Samaira to the businessman Baweja and thus got her kidnapped. He was killed by DD when he kidnapped Roshni and threatened to kill her.
ORPHANAGE CHILDREN
Munia, Fatka, Lily, Goli, Karthik and Joker are living in the Krishna Wali Orphanage in which Roshni used to work. The children lovingly call her "Didi" and Roshni considers them her children.Sid is also loved by the children and he loves them as well.The children fought along with Roshni against the goons in order to save their home from Sids corrupt manager. Later Fatka gets severly injured in order to save Roshni who was attacked by Kritika in her car. During Sidnis separation and Roshni being in Bangkok the children helped Sid to get to know about Roshnis whereabouts.
Beeji is Sids grandmom and Rajs mother. Being from the Punjabi background she is a very traditional woman. Roshni suceeded to gain her sympathy and love in being part of the "Punjabi Bahu Competition".Roshni made Beeji very proud when she won the competition.She forgave and trusted Roshni even after being arrested through the false domestic violence accuse made by DD.Getting to know about the problems between Sidni, she was shattered. After Sidnis divorce she turned into a Sidni supporter and made a plan to reunite Sidni.Therefore Roshni became her care taker.
Nani is DDs mother and Roshnis grandmother. She mainly raised Roshni as DD was busy with her business. Roshni lovingly calls her "Sexy". Nani supported DD a lot in mending her relation with Roshni but she is also able to appeal to DDs conscience. She loves Sid a lot and Sid respects her very much.After getting to know Sids motive of reuniting Roshni and DD she helped him in many situations. She is a full supporter of Sidnis love and for her Sid is a hero. She collected all letters Sid send to Roshni every day when Roshni was in Bangkok and gave her all later to make her understand the unconditional love Sid has for Roshni. For her Sid is the perfect partner for Roshni. With Shivs reentry in DD and Roshnis life she turned against Roshni as she couldnt forgive Shiv for all the pain DD has been through.
Mohit Malhota plays the role of Yash who is a highly successful, well educated, and a perfect gentleman. He is a stable, mature and nice guy who cares deeply for Roshni and helps her out in every possible way. His character played an integral part in Sid-Roshni love story as the audience got to see many unexpected twists with his entry. He has been married to Samaira who is Roshni's cousin. After his sister and brother-in-law die in an accident, he goes to take care of his niece and nephew.
Samaira is DD's niece and Mona bua's daughter. She currently lives with his husband Yash and his niece-nephew. She was once the wife of Rajveer before he double-crossed here and divorced her at false pretences and married Kritika. She had been kidnapped by Baweja who instead of taking her to China, as promised, made her unconscious and hid her in his bungalow but later she was rescued by Sid.
He is the sweet chachu of Roshni and help her to escape frm getting caught to DD whenever she mistakes. He helps DD in business and always express his scary respect to DD. He is the only person frm Patel family knowing the truth about Sid's identity and asked him to unite the ma-beti out of all ego problems since these duo hold so much love for each other in their heart.
She was introduced in the show as a mere employee in DD's shop...but then soon she got married to bablu the younger son of Patel family and became DD's sister in law...she was really sweet by heart but now she is no more in the story...
